WHAT ITEMS HAVE YOU SOLD AND WHY? DO YOU REGRET THE SALES? Hi guys! I hope you enjoy watching this video of all the Louis Vuitton bags and small leather goods I've sold since I started buying luxury items about 10 years ago. Hope you enjoy watching this video and find it helpful in your purchases. 😘
Asheville is awesome, really so much to see, My favorite wine bar with live music often times is Five on Walnut, its a diamond! But really lots of good places t dine and hang but Five on Walnut I always visit!
Yay! Hope we can go to these places with our little fur baby! This is my husband’s birthday trip and he wanted to do a trip with his little fur baby. Planning on going to Charleston and Asheville cause we heard that they’re pet friendly. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Main reasons I have sold bags: (1) too heavy (or chain dug into my shoulder), (2) crossbody strap that could not adjust and did not fall at a comfortable spot, and (3) light colored bags that made me too worried about color transfer and wear.
I have learned over the years there is no such thing as a forever bag. 😂😂😂 Our thoughts and preferences change so much even within a short period of time. That’s fashion for you! Definitely more mindful of what I buy and the selling market is so bad right now. Great video Maggie! ❤❤❤
You are absolutely right. No such thing as a forever bag because we change and our needs change as we age. I hate selling and, I agree, it's definitely not good for sellers now. I'd rather wait and see before I sell anything in the near future. ❤
Great video! I also have the petite noe in epi. I love to look at it and it looks great styled but I agree it’s not indestructible. Mine was pre loved from FP and had significant corner wear which I did not expect. I didn’t notice it for a while and even had the leather banding down the sides replaced (I was charged $120 and they took off my date code) before I noticed the corner wear. It’s mine forever now with the wear and lack of date code! My favorite bags for everyday are the pochette metis and the speedy 25. I haven’t sold any luxury bags yet, have only sold my old MK and coach bags, very cheaply! All other brands I have donated. There are a couple bags I bought through FP and returned. 1. Vintage Chanel flap bag which was more like a woc so I couldn’t justify the price and 2. Pochette accessories
Wow, I’m so sorry for not responding to your comment! I just saw it now! I can’t believe that they took out the date code! You would expect them to restamp it! I sold my pochette metis reverse monogram because the s lock kept opening up randomly - which is why I will never buy a bag with S lock from LV. Also, one of the strap would undone randomly and I’ve almost dropped the bag off my shoulder! I took it to LV and they said that there’s nothing wrong. I guess it user error. 🧐😂😂😂
It's a great little bag and I found them under $300 each - this was several years ago though. The base is wider than the Favorite MM so it fits more. Thanks for watching Dani! ❤
I’ve always loved the batignolles, but good to know the buckles hurt!! I have the original pochette too and it’s lasted me FOREVER! I got it for $350 in the early 2000’s. I had the mini looping too. I think I bought it in 2005ish. My mom still has it :) Omg I LOVE the multi pochette strap on the speedy!!! I want one so bad I love these videos.
Thanks Tiffany! I don't know why I had issues with the zipper wearing out around the canvas corner multiple times with the pochette accessoires.... Maybe because I wore them as crossbody bags?.... Looping mini is a great bag and I don't think you'd have trouble with the batignolles (I have super sensitive skin and very fleshy upper arm 😂).
Tfs your thoughts. I haven't return any bags. I really think hard before getting a bag... if the bag fits my needs and if it is classic. As I get older, I don't go for trendy bags bc it will get out of style. I'm glad you know what u like and got rid of it quick.
You are so right! I try to go for classics as well especially for these expensive bags. I don't want to keep something and feel afraid to use it - especially if it causes pain on my body or is going to have design flaw issues later. ❤
You were a very busy lady!! I would love to sell some but I am also thoughtful about the scamming problem right now. You had all the bags I would have never been able to chop chop. Have a wonderful day and I enjoyed watching 😍🥰❤️
Thanks so much! It was quite sobering to make this video. Until I gathered all the history of sales, I had no idea that I bought and sold so many. That said, this was done over a decade period. hahaha! I hate to sell and I'm super nervous until the buyer gets the item and tells me that she loves it. I'm trying to be even more careful about things I buy now - selling is much harder now and I don't want to end up with so many bags that I feel overwhelmed or guilty for spending money on myself. It's a constant inner struggle. Thanks for watching! ❤
@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie I totally get that I feel the same way. My bags were hidden in 4 walking closets and I recently took some out and have them now on display. Idk what happened but I don't feel the need buying more bags at all since they are out. On contrary I want to reduce some but none of the luxury ones. I realized I don't wear some of the bags at all because they are to heavy so I am in the phase to check myself which one will go of those. Again, awesome video and it's amazing over 10 years!!!
I have same problem with PM lock. Sometimes I thought I closed but actually not. So I need to make sure every time when I use this bag. I think you made right decision of PA. I totally agree with you about two pockets about Totally MM 😅. Haha, you just like me if I worry about something on the bag, I will sell it. I had same problem with Favorite MM, I also sold then I think someone told me it related to quality issues. Thank you so much for sharing Maggie. 💕
I know that you if find something annoying, I'd find it annoying too! hahaha! I was told that it was quality issue, but they can't fix it for me because I was not the original owner. So, I've had an SA completely fix the empreinte speedy 25 with melting glazing for free even though I was not the original buyer, and a different SA and his manager who refuse to fix it because I was not the original owner. Go figure! Thanks for watching this loooong video! 😊
Interesting video. You sure have been on top of your collection and getting rid of anything that didn’t work! I only got into luxury during the pandemic, and I haven’t gotten rid of anything (and can’t imagine selling anything that I’ve bought). I do have a much larger collection of Kate Spade and Coach, and when I’ve gotten done with bags from those designers, I’ve just donated them.
Thank you! I started with luxury bags about 10 years ago when I turned 50 and prior to that, I had 1 bag that I used until it wore out. hahaha! I think I felt guilty for buying these bags. So, when I wanted to buy something else, I usually (not always) tried to get rid of something similar in my wardrobe. I used to have a few Coach bags I bought in the 80's and early 90's, but I eventually donated them or sold them for super cheap on Ebay. It's much more difficult to sell luxury bags due to its high cost. Thanks again for watching and sharing! ❤
I’m a new subscriber to your channel and loved this video. I am in the UK and want to sell my Neverfull, that is immaculate and only been used 4 times. I totally understand your reluctance to sell especially to the pre loved companies. I was offered £565 for an immaculate 9 month old bag. What an absolute cheek. And I am even more reluctant to buy pre loved. Have you ever sold or bought on eBay ? In the UK they do offer authenticity guarantee. Thanks for the video. I am going to check out your others now 😊 x
So glad you found my channel and subscribed Gill! I’ve bought and sold on EBay before, but it was waaaayyyy before the current environment. eBay used to have EBay Authenticate items a few years ago and I bought my Hermes Toolbox from them. That said, I haven’t bought anything from EBay since prior to the pandemic. But I’d highly recommend calling them to make sure of their return policy if you’re considering buying anything from Ebay with their authenticity guarantee - find out what they need to approve any returns. In my experience and my sister’s experience, Ebay normally sides with buyers in disputes about authenticity. Just make sure that you record any shipping or unboxing of your items you sell and buy. Make sure you get thing reauthenticated if you’re buying preloved. My sister recently bought a scarf from a European country from supposedly a reputable seller which turned out to be fake and she was able to return the item and get her money fully refunded. Make sure that all communication and refunds are done through the EBay platform rather than outside Ebay platform. Thanks again for subscribing! ❤️
@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie oh thank you so much for replying and all that incredible information. You are so kind. I will take all that on board and try and bite the bullet to sell my Neverfull. I've recently retired and bought it as a retirement present to myself but didn't realise that my lifestyle has changed so much. I no longer wear professional clothes or need a tote to carry all my stuff. A crossbody is what I tend to use now. But I am drawn to the Speedy B 25 so may treat myself. Thanks so much. X
@@gillsimpson4976 I find having a good tote (Longchamp, Neverful, Estrela, etc) is great when I have to take a lot of things to my mom and dad's medical appointments. That said, I love my Speedy B25 DE especially with a bag organizer for shape and organizational pockets for easy access to my phone. That said, make sure that you're okay with the opening of B25 canvas. The better size (if you don't carry a lot) for crossbody may be Speedy 20 since it's big enough for everyday use for me and has zipper that goes down the side for wider mouth opening. If they had a Speedy B20 in DE vs Speedy B25 in DE, I think I'd choose the B20 in DE. Alas, they don't make B20 in DE..... 😂
@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie you are totally right about needing a larger tote sometimes. I do have a few Longchamp bags which are a big more carefree I think. I have been researching the Speedy. Like you say so much to consider 😅 .
There definitely was some quality concerns. So for a while now, I haven’t bought any new bags from this brand. 😉 thanks for watching and commenting! You’re very perceptive and correct! ❤️

Loving your hair! You should just do a blog sale. So many you tubers have done this with good experiences.
❤️. I’m a little gun shy to do any sales these days due to unreliable mail system and scammers. ❤️☺️
