Really nice reaction. Good comments, Kudos. I can offer you a little history on the mosh pit. Moshing first started with the hardcore punk scene in California back in the '70's. The music was aggressive and rebellious and the moshing could easily devolve into practically a brawl. Moshing has always been associated with heavy, fast hardcore music. And could get very intense. At least western moshing. Babymetal and Japan in general-is my understanding have their own genre of mosh'sh pits which by all accounts are safe, supportive and meant to be fun for all. To see a great example of mosh'sh pits you should watch *Babymetal Road of Resistance, Live in Japan*. The performance is from nine years ago and among many things shows even early on what great crowd control Babymetal had (link follows):ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.html
Good reaction. Mosh pits can vary depending on the band, the country they are playing in, the sort of fans the band has and all sorts of other factors. Generally BABYMETAL do have a lot of mosh pits, but for the most part (especially in Japan) those are circle pits and quite safe - perhaps some of their concerts in other countries may not be the same. Personally I'd rather watch the show and join in with what is happening on stage than run laps.🏃🏃♂🏃♀ This collaboration was on the cards for a long time. BMTH and BABYMETAL have been good friends since they first met in the UK in 2015 and had often spoken about wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and in 2020 BMTH recorded this song featuring BABYMETAL. Originally BABYMETAL sent their contributions entirely in English. Oli Sykes from BMTH asked them to include some Japanese. It took until November last year before they finally managed to get together to play it live. This was at the NEX_FEST events arranged by BMTH in Japan. BABYMETAL played their own set at all 4 events and came back out to perform this live with BMTH each time.
So many people call songs like this "angry music". I get where the impression comes from, but for me and many others it is actually the complete opposite. This is my Zen music because I need something complex and intense in order to shut of my brain in order to relax. When I'm anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, over-socialized, etc one of the best things I can do for myself is curl up in a cozy spot with metal blasting in my headphones. My self-care or relaxation days have a soundtrack of metal, hard rock, rap, etc. I do tend to pick through songs based on lyrics and overall messages, but that is just my personal preference with music in general.
Great reaction! Babymetal and BMTH have been friends since 2015! This was their collab in 2020 that was finally performed live together for the first time in Nov 2023. While Babymetal can be “aggressive” with their music, it is always in an uplifting and positive manner. One reason why they are so unique in metal! As an example, Gimme Chocolate from your last reaction, is just aggressively goofy and adorable lol. Suggestions: *Headbanger (Legend 1997):* An early classic from Dec 2013 show. Aggressively fun. *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Their staple show closer for almost a decade. Aggressively epic. Makes you want to ride out to battle! *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM):* Aggressively melodic and emotional. Su’s vocals are just amazing here. 🤘🦊
Thank you 😊 you are right! I think I was generalizing based off how my cousin is but yes they can be very uplifting. I think I need to continue down this rabbit hole for further research 😊
@ I think you will really enjoy Babymetal! Imagine hard hitting music with beautiful pop vocals. They also genre blend like no other! I would check out *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM)* next!
It depends in the Moshpids of Babymetal normally everyone keeps calm. You can suddenly meet 8 year old girls or 80 year old men and if you think you can hit them I would guarantee that a few other guys have smaller accidents and crash you. Babymetal doesn't like it when someone tries to hurt girls.
👍👍An awesome collaboration and performance🔥🔥. One of my favorites. Great reaction. BABYMETAL has circle pits and they are very safe.🦊 🖖❤ BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL) Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs
Nice reaction. BMTH is said to belong to the "Metalcore" genre, using very electronic sounds and electronic pop elements together with (sometimes) extremely heavy metal. The collab with BABYMETAL gives the song something very special, Su-Metal´s voice fits the BMTH sound perfectly. It was quite interesting to see you smiling a little bit brighter, as Moametal was looking (and smiling) directly into the camera lens during the bridge 😄 BABYMETAL´s choreography to this is fire, btw. Too bad that the video editor didn´t put more of it into the video. There´s a fancam edit of the four Nex_Fest performances of "Kingslayer" by Omajination, showing the whole choreo, with focus on Momometal. Worth a watch! You´ll hear Su-Metal´s real live singing, too! Yep, for this video they used the studio audio. It sounds pretty much like it is live, but all the effects of the studio audio are in there. The real live sounds even more epic, tho. Su-Metal is a phenomenal live vocalist! I second all three of Ganimal83´s recommendations, with emphasis on "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!" from the "Legend 1997" concert 😁
I have noticed that a lot of reactors to this video conflate mosh pits with solo dancers. The latter are just individuals toward the back of the venue, usually in spaces cleared by audiences that gravitate towards the front. They dance to the song, well clear of others, and thus their arm swinging is harmless. Japan does have a tradition of dancing to metal. Back in the mid 1980's I frequented a night club in Tokyo, I think in the Roppongi district, called Tsubaki House that had metal music that people mostly banged their heads to but others would dance to similar to the solo dancers in this video. I like to think there is a non-zero chance that Kobametal might have been there a few times and it might then have lain the seed to incorporating dance into Metal.
I feel kind of interesting your reflexion at the end. In my case at least is not about the anger... just used to "agressive" music for a lot of time, but not since the beggining. Usually, people who now enjoys hardcore metal genres starts from punk or pop-rock and progressively you listen to harder music. And now days, even if I can enjoy a lot of genres, I always come back to metal because I need that intensity. Its a bit hard to explain to be honest.
@@Eliimore93 I hear you and can see what you're saying. I love punk rock and I don't think I'm angry 😂 I think in the moment I was thinking about my cousin who is only one person to go off of so not great data but he has some anger issues 😂
Yescit was their first Feature song. But Ollie braucht this idea to Babymetal at first he didn't even realized when Su ducken and he started to talk to her Production Workflow. But this Production Workflow is now one of their most used units. Leave it all Behind, RaTaTaTa with Electric Callboy or now Bekhauf with Bollywood. They are now used to shock the Charts.

5:01 Depends on the band imo. But I haven't been in a pit since mid 2000's so it's probably changed a lot since then.
