You mentioned how it didn't seem like these two bands should work together. That's actually one of Babymetal's super powers. They have the skill and ability to collaborate with so many different styles of music. And do it perfectly while still retaining their own unique signature sound. It's pretty amazing.
Babymetal loves to play with the opposites and that's why BMTH guys wanted to collab with Babymetal as well. Playing with the extremes makes it a very dynamic song.
Great reaction again.🦊🤘This song was on the cards for a long time - BMTH and BABYMETAL have been good friends since they first met in 2015 and had often spoken about wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and in 2020 BMTH recorded this song with BABYMETAL as the featured artist. BABYMETAL originally sent their contributions entirely in English, Oli Sykes from BMTH asked them to include some Japanese. It was 3 years later they finally managed to get together to play it live, that was at NEX_FEST in Japan, arranged and hosted by BMTH. BABYMETAL joined them on stage for all 4 events to perform together with them.
one of my favorite collabs that baby metal has done, ive been a fan of BMTH since their early stuff, glad you got to experience this video in particular!
I personally love Babymetal. They have many wonderful collaborations, like this one. To be honest I did listen to this genre of metal in the 60’s-90’s. However, it got a little stale for me until Babymetal introduced me to bands like Nemophila and BMTH. I am definitely not musically trained, but this might be considered Metal-core, or a style that combines punk and heavy metal. I can be wrong. Regardless, Babymetal performs so many genres of music. I will even go out on a limb and say they are the most diverse band I listen to. Love the Fox Hole.
@@MrsRealistic Yes I watched your Hanabie and didn’t have the time comment. You are not a, “targeted” block to my knowledge, but a few reactors have commented on similar issues. It actually affected me. All of them were similar Texan’s to you and I. Go figure! I will look over the solutions. This, “apparently” stems from a recent update deleting the notifications. I can’t send the link, to resolve the issue, but maybe cryptic comment.. Go figure?
@michelm.6033 I talked with RUclips and I knew more about the process than they did. But now, even tho it's public (it said it was public but wasn't showing up to anyone but me) I'm not getting any views. It's super frustrating that they people at RUclips had no idea what I was even talking about. Not to mention the time and energy I put in to have it not get any traction. It's not even monitized. I've had numerous blocks on videos, but it will only last 48 hours and then it's viewable. This time it told me the block was off, but it still wasn't visible. Super annoying.
@@MrsRealistic Mrs Realistic. I just gave you the solution and discussion on the issue. I wouldn’t trust any website past my, well know. I think it was on your G.O.D. Reaction, but I might be mistaken.
@@MrsRealistic Oh please, I am as annoyed, but this isn’t just your problem. I think we may be talking on two different reactions. You are not alone. Coming from a family of lawyers and judges you all have a great legal case if you join together. Regardless, I hope you find the solution on one of my other recent reactions. Texas strong!!!
Nearly missed it 🤣 Great reaction! Grington300 explained all the background to this collab. BABYMETAL somehow is able to collaborate with anybody, and it turns to gold most of the time. Kingslayer tho is pure fire, highest energy so far. "Metalcore" might be the genre you asked for. Very heavy Metal, mixed with electronic music elements and influences. OTOH, highest FUN factor is with the collab with Electric Callboy, "Ratatata". Pls remember, always choose the live version of anything BABYMETAL first 😉
I subscribed to your channel with the reaction video "Shanti Shanti Shanti". I search for babymetal on youtube every day. I wonder why I couldn't find "Kingslayer" it's been 5 days. I wish I could have watched it earlier!😭 I'm not good at English so sorry if my comments are hard to read🙏
Unfortunately RUclips messed with me and kept a block up on my video even tho it was technically public... so NONE of my viewers got any notification! 😭...and your English is perfect! 😊
I was just thinking. If they ever took their greatest songs, recording them in English, used Momometal for the ALL the growls, I'd buy that so fast. Nice reaction.
Oh my goodness i was watching your Batmetal reaction (which are Dethklok and they're BabyMetal friends) but then i realized i missed this one, probably YT got it blocked and now is unblocked, it's so unfortunate you lost so many views bc of that. Anyway here's some delay info for you. This was the best 2020 collab between these two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it. BMTH performed at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival in previous years, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily since last year we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway. BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame. This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here. They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable. They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘 The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure (When We Will Be Free?)" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game. Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this. Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did this year: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. And more recently along with Electric Callboy - RATATATA, careful with the official MV and put some watermarked logo, if still getting blocked then go for the official live version that is usually safe to react. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🤘🔥
Yes, RUclips screwed me over on this one and I've gotten very little views. Normally a block lasts 48 hours, then I can make it public. This time when it SAID the block was off, I made it public, but no one could see it and it was still unavailable... so RUclips never pushed it since it took about a week for it to be visible. No one at RUclips who I spoke with could even diagnose the issue and I knew more than they did. Very frustrating... but I'm glad you got to see it at least! And thank you for all of that info as well!
This was the second song I heard from Baby Metal. The very first song was Ratatata with Electric Callboy. I am still not sure if Baby Metal is my thing. But the collaboration with Electric Callboy was a lot of fun and this one is also a great piece of music. But the whole kawaii thing is not really my cup of tea. That's why I like Hanabie, they use also kawaii, but only in small dosis :D I would call the genre of this song "metalcore".
@@thenormalman3409 Well, I think they do. Look in some videos how they represent them selves , in some more. and luckily, in a lot less. They play also a little bit the kawaii card in a ironic way. They are selfaware of doing this. (e.g. we love sweets)
Been lucky enough to see both bands live in the past 18 months or so . The start of the video where you asked " is it live " is actually the introduction to the song and features in every live performance - BMTH have a ton of very cool graphics in their shows ( like the dancer in the background during this video ) and when they perform this without BM there are 3 cartoon like figures on the back screen doing virtually the same dance moves as BM in this . It is worth checking out this video of " Kool Aid " live which gives you a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about probably some of the best graphics you'll ever see from a band - ruclips.net/video/qSFN7Q6_RWY/видео.html ENJOY PS - glad this finally got released !
