It was so much fun doing the photos for this project. Such a great builder and such attention to detail. I hope he gets top dollar for this project at auction. A very iconic and rare piece of automotive history.

Just amazing. It me almost thirty years to bring back my 59 Buick Convertible from the salvage yard to winning a trophy and it was a production car. And you did this one of a kind car so quickly. I’ve enjoyed following your progress in old cars magazine. Congratulations!

One of my favorite show cars ever! As a result, I owned two 1959 Mercurys ( used not new). The rocket tube and rear light were quite similar to your car.

It was so far gone. 99.99% of the people out there would never take on this ,even with the skills required. Well done !!!!!

An absolute work of art. How did it ever get into that state? So odd that it wasn't looked after.

That is such a remarkable looking car. I love it! It’s too bad it ever got to be in the shape that it was in but it’s great that it could be put back together again. We’re all those parts that were mission fabricated where did you find the part somewhere?

      They had to be fabricated

Well, how long did this project take? And where did you get all the parts? Like the chrome surround for exhaust for example. Beautiful work. But certainly not common work.

    What "restoration"? Everything was replaced.
