Got to say Armchair historian is very Biased IN THIS VIDEO. Talks about how far right members are fighting in Donetsk military, MEANWHILE Barely MENTION OF AZOV BATTLION, Well known to be anti semitic far right battalion. Amnesty International put a statement out that UKRAINE used civilians as SHIELDS. I also thinks it’s hilarious that he has Ukraine attacking around Mariupol, while it shows Russia directly attacking apartment buildings is so propaganda, cause Ukraine also attacks civilians and example would be the bridge connects Crimea. Ukraine killed three civilians while trying to destroy the bridge. Meanwhile Russia has already rebuilt 65 percent of Mariupol and Men living there, don’t have to worry about being drafted in the meat grinder.

I think drone war is one of the worst addition to warfare. War is war but watching a soldier trying to run for his life get blown to pieces by a drone, or two soldiers in pitch darkness on watch when one informs the other to retreat unaware that a drone just dropped and set a bomb trap in between them is just sad to watch.
While I agree with you, people were saying the same thing when tanks, planes, machine guns, barbed wire, bolt action rifles, white gunpowder, assault rifles, dynamite, camouflage, trench digging and other advanced ordinances were introduced to the battlefield
I agree with you that drone warfare in itself is a bad addition as it turns the war into more of a game and limits the risks involved the the operator. But in causality drone warfare is cheap, easy, and reduces the risks to the user. It gives many more options and gains to the side that uses them unlike the wars of old that didn't have drones. Drones are the future that will be used in any conflict in our era and beyond there is no turning back. An we all know these very drones will be used on not only soldiers but on the very citizens of their own country in time. Any tool of war that's cheap, easy to use and can cause great effect will be highly sought after and used. What we see today is the infant stage of drone warfare, what comes later will be far more terrifying as more weapons are integrated for use on drones, AI is added and drone designs become more lethal though options and load outs.
How is a drone any different than someone getting shot by a sniper? Or an artillery shell hitting them? All kinds of things can happen when someone is running away or chilling on watch. Explosions and bullets are explosions and bullets dude drones are not that special. They're just annoying. The only thing that drones have really changed is that tanks are not as effective and everybody sees everything you can't really hide movements from the enemy. Other than that dying is dying you make it sound like dying to a drone is any different than anything else. It's not.
@@bestieswithtesties Sniper puts himself in danger by being on the field of battle with in range of the enemy to strike back at them if they see them or notice their location. They can be dealt with directly and quickly. Artillery is on the battle field with in X range. New tech can detect, track and locate and counter fire which makes artillery risky as a sniper. All things can happen to those that retreat and do not surrender you are fair game to be dealt with by any means necessary thats the fact of war. But in most wars expect those fought by russia and some 2ed and e3rd world countries. As a modern country they respect and accept surrendering combatants and follow the international laws that all countries should follow in war. Again not all countries do follow those rules those tend to be 2ed world and third world countries and warlords. But what makes drones different. You are not actively in danger while operating and can be hundreds to thousands of miles behind the lines. Making it harder to track and eliminate the operator more so if they are mobile. Using said tech makes it feel like a vid game in how it operates an descentizes your thought process that you actually killed someone(s) and the reality check that you pulled the trigger on someones life. As the whole process seams unreal compared to seeing your results right in front of you while fighting on the line. Lastly drones will become a cost effective norm over time in price, man power, efficiency and many advantages you normally don't have on foot and easily accessible. As our tech grows and advances less human interaction will be needed and drones are just the step in the right direction to use AI and simpler algorithms to do the same job as a well trained solider. It costs thousands to millions to train a solider fully and a min of 4 years for a skilled combatant. But a child of the age of 7yr old or older and less then 2-8 hrs of training can fly a drone and think it was a video game. We already have 3-4yr olds operating their parents tablets and cell phones to watch kid shows online. How hard do you think it would be for young children to get hooked on a cool flying sim you can crash your plane into things. Side note: The real horror hasn't started yet with drones. We will soon see commercial drones being modified and being equipped with explosives and used for terrorist acts while being mobile and very hard to catch and locate due to mobility. Currently there are no countermeasures set up to defend against this. Unless something was set up in advance and even then the current tech isn't readily available. The world is seeing how effective drones are in Ukraine its just a matter of time before those idea's are used by bad actors only wanting chaos.
@SniperFallen06 I know because I see Ukrainian soldiers in my work place. One thing I can say is that they are getting older and older. In 2022, the Ukrainians who came to our workplace were mostly men in 2030s now ( when I last saw them in 2023 ) were mostly 40s and some even 50s. It is tragic, and I find these western propaganda outlets pathetic. They want to fight Russia till the last Ukrainians.
What is funnier about all of this, not only Russia has regained most of the empty fields they grinded in 4 months but they have advanced more in 7 days in Kharkov than they did in 3 months in Zaporozhye LOL and only using recon groups, and those same people now are saying that the Russians failed LMAO
The fact they only did that, and still not entirely while being the self proclaimed second best army in the world is not an achievement, but I guess the bar gets lower and lower while making Ukraines higher and higher. But I suppose they are "fighting all of Nato with shovels against the fourth reich reborn" so its justified. Each day the imperialist keeps at its 3 days very special millitary operation is a victory. But hey lets the whataboutisims, shovel comments and 😂😂😂 emojis start once more THIRD year in a row, that will certainly make their victory against less than percent of Natos budget more likely. Damn if I am willing to root for autocrats if that means sticking it to the current party in power in my country like a contrarian even I can stand against both equally
"According to NATO, Russia lost 5 times more then Ukraine in Bakhmut" So, by very smart and definitly modern and unbiased (as we can see in the 2023 planning for counteroffencive) NATO experts think that a numerically inferiour force, but with higher firepower suffered heavier casualties and won then numerically superiour force that lacked firepower that lost. Also, do note how quickly the counteroffencive changed from "we are going to capture Crimea" to "we are going to capture a small village of Robotino", which they lost already, btw
NATO gets most of their Casualty statistics from Ukrainian Intel so it's no Surprise. Bahkmut was a mini Meat grinder for both sides shoveling Conscripts. Prigozhin definitely wasn't happy with the numbers and how Wagner was treated.
One asks North Korea for munitions after losing 3,000 tanks to a small country like Ukraine. This war shouldn’t have happened, just like Putin being elected.

Ok, i understand if this video would be published in summer-autumn 2023 but now... Seriously? Although, i really like this narrative: *Battle of Bakhmut:* Insignificant gains (including cities Bakhmut and Soledar), Russians lost 5 soldiers for 1 ukrainian according to NATO estimates (and only to it). Not a single word about ukrainian casualties during battle of Bakhmut and how it affected plans for counteroffensive, while mentioning all the problems of the russian army. *Summer Counteroffensive:* well, ukrainians did defended themselves, destroyed some russian ships and even though they didn't reconquered HUGE chunk of territory, still, they DID achieve tactical gains. Not a single word about russian gains. Bro, you even animated RDK raids on Belgorod and Krynki operation, while not saying a single word about Bradley square or Robotino. You haven't even shown battle of Avdievka on map and how it ended, while stating that "Russia lost a lot of soldiers and had huge issues". Hell, you haven't even shown this offensive and it's results on map, and i'm not even mentioning the results of 9 days russian offensive in Kharkiv oblast, which saw more territorial gains, than whole ukrainian summer offensive in 4 months. Im not saying that it's all good and great with the Russian army. There is a great number of issues and problems with it, but such biased view on this conflict is just disguisting. That's not history, that's propaganda. Still, looks like this is what informational warfare is nowadays.
@@studgud3345That’s true, but barely mentioning the “huge losses” and failures of Ukraine while continuously mentioning Russia’s is a big problem in of itself. Now when they recap 2024 they’re going to look like fools as everything said in this video will make AH seem uncredible which is unfortunate as RUclips already has a thing against history channels and losing the trust of the views is the last thing they need.

Agreed. Russia's strategy the whole time has been to wait for the West to get bored of Ukraine and move onto something else, which it has done. All of Ukraine's effort had to be forced into proving tangible gains to keep attention on them, and stop the Republican narrative that America is just getting involved in another unwinnable war - hence the ridiculous clickbaiting of their entire counteroffensive for months beforehand. Of course, arguably, even success in Zaporizhzhia would not have swayed the West to take Ukraine more seriously. Russia is still doubling down and further gearing up their economy for a long war, and Trump is determined not to allow Biden to claim any foreign or domestic policy successes over his term to boost his own chances of re-election - as everyone can see from the Republicans consistently blocking Ukraine aid, and even increased spending countering illegal immigration. Idk what this year is going to bring, but I imagine the West pressuring Ukraine to accept a ceasefire - and we all know how well Russia accepts internationally brokered ceasefires (Minsk II ahem ahem)...

@Sterlingcape Laughs in Azov. When has Putin ever said Bolshevik'ism/Stalin'ism was good. Shits crazy. He says "those with a heart miss thr USSR. Those with a brain would never want it to return".
I feel like too many people forget that the intial invading force was only 180,000 people, 1/3 of which were combat troops. The notion that Russia was looking to conquer all of Ukraine - a country of ~30 million - with 180,000 is laughable. The Russian assumption was that a quick invasion of Ukraine would force the Ukranian government to come to the negotiation table and renounce any desires to become a NATO member; of course, this turned out to be a total failure. Nonetheless, the costly Russian mistake of assuming the Ukrainians would give out quickly pales in comparison to the foolishness of the Ukranians to reach a favorable settlement early on in a war that was (or rather, will be) a Russian victory. Wars are determined by manpower and industrial output, neither of which Ukraine (or NATO countries) have. Years of outsourcing industry to other countries for cheaper labor has left the West vulnerable and without any surge capacity for rapid weapons production. Never mind training a professional workforce to man the factories to mass produce tanks, missles, and artillery shells like we did WWII, we don't even have the factories to send them to. This war was a doomed proposition from the Ukrainian side before it even started, and with the average age of a Ukrainian conscript being 43(!), there is serious risk of the Ukrainian nation ceasing to exist. What a waste of life.
Tell that to the trillions of rubles sunk into a war that's never, ever going to be cost effective no matter what can be exploited out of the country. Industry and manpower do win wars, but that's never, EVER, an absolute. Smaller nations have always proven that wars can be won when the invader suffers being bogged down for too long, no matter how authoritarian or tightened state security is. Russia is in year 3 of its invasion, forced to sink so much of its economy that has lost a lot of influence in its own backyard, and is becoming solely dependent on China and Iran, sacrificing its position as a major world power. It betrayed Armenia, it screwed its massive weapons exports market, its relying on older and older technologies of which some can't be replicated anymore because of how outdated it is, it no longer has access to western markets, the CSTO has proven to be absolutely useless and pointless, and its suffering an enduring rivalry with Turkey and China for influence that Russia SHOULD have intense establishment with. All for a war that could've been avoided had Putin just come to the negotiating table with all parties involved.
It can be a waste of life, but we need to understand that Ukranians will not give up their land so easily, and they will not bargain with Russia, not with actual "governant" who's want basically all of Ukraine... maybe more, and even if they agreed with all Russia demands, wich are unfair and many, its not garanted that will end here.
@@AgentLeonDeputyAmaral The Russian demands were for Ukraine to not join NATO, not to give up land. In 2014, the Donestk and Luhansk asked Putin to annex them, to which Putin told them that Russia would recognize their regional autonomy as \Ukrainian\ territories. this video is so wrong, in so many ways. Firsly, during the ukranian 'counteroffensive' in Kherson (2023) they didnt retake Oleshky, nor did they capture any amount of territory that comes close to what you showed; with them barely capturing any towns, and across very small areas. (like Krynki.) Secondly you say the RU suffered 5-1 casualty ratios in Bakhmut but this simply wasnt the case, with Bakhmut having 'destroyed' several ukranian brigades initially meant for the counteroffensive. You also completely forgot to mention the fact that Russian missle and strike capabilities grew massively during 2023. you also completely ignored the 'Fab UMPC' being used in bakhmut, which wouldve been somewhat understandable, but then also completely forgot to mention it all later on...? when this weapon is now being used in the hundreds a day (and has been since Oktober 2023, when they started to be used near Adveevka) You also massively understated just how much of a failure the Ukranian counteroffensive was, with so many forces being used in the completely ridicilous offensives near Bakhmut and the Vremsky ledge that lead to huge casualties in terms of armor, aswell as ignoring the fact that due to these forces (aswell as all their weapons) being destroyed in useless counteroffensives ukraine is now suffering a massive shortage in terms of reserves, weapons, and manpower, with RU now having captured more territory in 2024 near Kharkiv then ukraine in 2023 in total. You also ignored the total failure of ukranian air defense, but thats to be expected as that only became clear recently. Its amazing how wrong this video is on so many levels; yet you still manage to include the lancet. which i do like, because that (alongside the FAB and FPV drones) has been the most influential weapon in this war, destroying everything from tanks and mortars to aircraft a hundred kilometers away. Looking foward to a 2024 video a year from now where you have to admit that the reason for current ukranian failure is a badly-timed and planned offensive aswell as an increase of RU weapons production.
The video left me with the similar impression, it is trying to convince that Ukraine had sort of advantage throughout the whole 2023. It's absolutely not true.

Russia at the beginning of the war had like 150-200k soldiers. It's clearly not possible to take the whole Ukraine country in a matter of days with this amount of soldiers. Ukraine is a very big country. Russia wanted to pressure Ukraine enough to bring them to the negotiation table and they succeeded. Russia and Ukraine were engaged in a negotiation process in Istanbul. Until Boris Johnson came and shut down the whole process. Anyway this narrative that Russia expected to take the whole Ukraine in a matter of days is just plain BS. This n'arrive doesn't make any sense for anyone who try to understand those events.
In 2014, Russia took Crimea with minimal effort. It's not unlikely the Russians expected another easy victory considering Russian troops we're making dinner reservations in Kiev.

Good summary, with magnificent animation; It's a shame that unlike the previous video, you treated the topic with too much focus on highlighting the Ukrainian merits in a year in which things went disastrously for them and in the process you dedicated little time to mentioning the achievements, successes and improvement in adaptation of the Russian army in the conflict (something that takes away the objectivity of the video). Also missing is an explanation of the Russian fortification measures in the South, which ended up leading the Ukrainian counteroffensive to failure. =/

@@alexcorvuscazador5596 Be careful, underestimating an enemy is the main reason why you lost wars like Vietnam. Not all countries have the same mentality and the same willingness to make sacrifices, regardless of the multiple reasons, which for some are more valuable than for others; To think that the Russians would become discouraged for the same reasons that a NATO country would, is a huge mistake and they may regret it sooner or later. Recognizing the strengths and victories of your rivals, regardless of how they are obtained, is the greatest weapon you have to defeat them later, as is recognizing your own defeats; If you don't understand it, I recommend reading someone like Sun Tzu, because then you will understand that knowing yourself and your enemy will ensure you win a thousand battles.

@@alexcorvuscazador5596 You are wrong if you think that every victory translates into the total destruction of the enemy army, the fact that you degrade the achievement of Vietnam by ending up winning that war, regardless of the means or results, says a lot about you; victory is a victory in the end. You may not be American or even not from the European Union, but I perceive in you enough subjectivity with the subject not to be; It is true that Ukraine has achieved something impressive and that regardless of how it ends, Russia can now consider the war a failure because of what it has cost them and for not achieving the objective (which was not to conquer land, but to subjugate Ukraine to keep it under its control), however that is no reason not to recognize merits regardless of whether they are few or great. Aren't you aware of the War? The Russians have adapted little by little and are now attacking the North through Kharkov, succeeding in destroying the rear logistics by precision attacks with drones and artillery, something they lacked at the beginning (if they had had it before, they would have done more damage when starting the war). The point of recognizing the positive evolution of your enemy helps to carry out more effective countermeasures, but also in terms of the news that is given to the public, it also helps to convince people that this war is a serious matter and that therefore that must continue to be helped with more weapons. If he keeps talking only well about the Ukrainians, he will only make the allied countries fall into apathy. Furthermore, you talk about Russia, but since 2022 Ukraine has not been able to advance a higher amount of mileage than what you criticize the Russians for; On the other hand, Russia continues to expand its war economy, while Europe and the United States remain industrially hesitant and rather than gaining ground, they are losing it. Therefore, recognizing your rivals allows you to be objective in the end, not as you do when you only want to impose the perspective that Russia is just failures; They may be wrong, but even with those they have had successes and allied help comes better when you recognize your enemy's possibilities.

To be honest, this video sounds like it was biased or trying to push a pro-Ukrainian narrative. Every time Ukraine succeeds, it's always "thanks to its strength, its soldiers and its allies", but every time Russia succeeds, it's always because of Ukraine being hindered by "Bad weather, disagreements with allies, delayed weapons shipments, busy units, etc." You didn't seem to mention heavy Ukrainian losses in the counteroffensive, or the loss of the Leopards and Bradleys (Which became very famous, because before the counteroffensive a lot of people thought only Russian tanks can get destroyed), effectiveness of the Surovikin line, Russian fortifications, KA-52s, and only mentioned how Ukraine managed to capture a town - A whole 2 months after it started (Rabotino is back in Russian hands now btw) Only mentioning when Russia gets bogged down, like in Vuhledar, but not mentioning their success in other planes, like Avdiivka, Gazillion Russian soldiers killed for every Ukrainian, "Russia didn't took ukraine in 3 days hurr durr" when no Russian politician or official ever said they're going to take Ukraine in 3 days, when in fact it was an estimate General Mike Miley before the war began who was from the US military. Production quality is decent, but honestly, this video has got some insane double standards and is far, FAR from neutral.

Important to note that Western Europe has struggled to keep supplying Ukraine with ammunition, as the arms industry for producing artillery shells for wars that last years, simply doesn't exist anymore and the governments have no desire to fund them. Whilst Russia is willing to force it's own industries to craft ammunition, whilst also taking advantage of trading with ammunition factories in China, Iran and even African countries.
Important to note that Ukraine still refuses to allow exhumation of bodies of Wołyń genocide and started trade war against their western neighbours while asking these same neighbour for support in war

I've studied WWI for a long time, and seeing it being played out in Ukraine right before my eyes is crazy. There are so many parallels I can draw - both wars began with a surge by the invader toward key points. These surges failed, and they were kicked back to trenches. Now both sides wish to break the stalemate, but everything has failed. Attrition has become a key practice for both sides. New weapons are being deployed and tested. Bombings of major cities have become the norm, and refugees flee away from the battle lines. Radical ideologies have established themselves in armies of both sides. I can keep going. It's scary how alike these two wars are, and while I certainly hope Ukraine triumphs, I'm just scared that, like WWI, this war could be a gateway to a new, more radical and dangerous situation in both Ukraine and Russia, and any other countries or groups that get involved.

Not bad on the whole, but one can sense a pro-Ukrainian stance: - far-right groups in Russia are called neo-Nazi, while in Ukraine they are called far-right; - it was said about the Russian military defecting to Ukraine, but not about the Ukrainian military defecting to Russia; - it was said that Russian attacks were carried out not only against military but also civilian targets, while Ukrainian attacks were carried out only against military targets. Although Ukraine also regularly strikes civilian targets in Donetsk and Luhansk; - the information about the dead military officials in the headquarters was provided by Ukraine. It would be good to point this out.
From what was supposed to be a super technological modern war, it turned into the poor version of the World War I, with some splashes of the World War II. I also see reminiscences of the Winter War, the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan and the Iran-Iraq War.

@patrickwelch3859 well the Soviet obejective in finland was to anex finland. They had to settle with taking the defensive line of finland and basically no important lands. And WW2 was what changed things, have WW2 not happen the effect of the winter war would have been just a russian humiliation and forcing finland to join the tripartite pact. So if the Ukranian war is going to mirror the winter war then expect russia ro settle for the Donbass and perhaps crimea after being humilliated and then Ukraine entering NATO.
I think every part of war is sad to watch

@RenanMendes-zd8hj they rather cover the sun with their hand and say " Look the sun is gone " .
It can be a waste of life, but we need to understand that Ukranians will not give up their land so easily, and they will not bargain with Russia, not with actual "governant" who's want basically all of Ukraine... maybe more, and even if they agreed with all Russia demands, wich are unfair and many, its not garanted that will end here.
great comment
@@AgentLeonDeputyAmaral The Russian demands were for Ukraine to not join NATO, not to give up land. In 2014, the Donestk and Luhansk asked Putin to annex them, to which Putin told them that Russia would recognize their regional autonomy as \Ukrainian\ territories. The land annexations of this war are done out of situational necessity rather than a bid for establishing a new Russian empire. The Ukranians had a good deal in 2022, and they blew it.

this video is so wrong, in so many ways.
Firsly, during the ukranian 'counteroffensive' in Kherson (2023) they didnt retake Oleshky, nor did they capture any amount of territory that comes close to what you showed; with them barely capturing any towns, and across very small areas. (like Krynki.)
Secondly you say the RU suffered 5-1 casualty ratios in Bakhmut but this simply wasnt the case, with Bakhmut having 'destroyed' several ukranian brigades initially meant for the counteroffensive.
You also completely forgot to mention the fact that Russian missle and strike capabilities grew massively during 2023.
you also completely ignored the 'Fab UMPC' being used in bakhmut, which wouldve been somewhat understandable, but then also completely forgot to mention it all later on...? when this weapon is now being used in the hundreds a day (and has been since Oktober 2023, when they started to be used near Adveevka)
You also massively understated just how much of a failure the Ukranian counteroffensive was, with so many forces being used in the completely ridicilous offensives near Bakhmut and the Vremsky ledge that lead to huge casualties in terms of armor, aswell as ignoring the fact that due to these forces (aswell as all their weapons) being destroyed in useless counteroffensives ukraine is now suffering a massive shortage in terms of reserves, weapons, and manpower, with RU now having captured more territory in 2024 near Kharkiv then ukraine in 2023 in total.

Who is you? I am not even american. I am not underestimating them I am looking at the facts they have moved 20km on the widest point in in 2 years and 3 months. If you need a history lesson and read books please do so as the US stopped out Vietnam due to polical pressure , look at the casualties its not even close. If they had stayed longer and lost that would be another issue. Underestimation is the reason why Russia has extended this special millitary operation to three years and their adapting has not translated to any gain as long as their leadership remains as corrupt a ever. As long as Ukraine has will and manpower nothing sill change based on Russias autocratic charatheristics.

Now both sides wish to break the stalemate, but everything has failed. Attrition has become a key practice for both sides. New weapons are being deployed and tested. 13:54 - Where did you find that "Srpska dobrovoljacka garda" (Serb Volunteer Guard) participated in Ukrainian War? This a paramilitary group that was active in Yugoslavian War in present-day Croatia. It was disbanded years ago. I could not find a single source saying it is active in Ukraine.
As an major fan of your previous videos i cannot even explain the disappointment I have with this video. Cmon man

Not bad on the whole, but one can sense a pro-Ukrainian stance:
- far-right groups in Russia are called neo-Nazi, while in Ukraine they are called far-right;
- it was said about the Russian military defecting to Ukraine, but not about the Ukrainian military defecting to Russia;
- it was said that Russian attacks were carried out not only against military but also civilian targets, while Ukrainian attacks were carried out only against military targets. Although Ukraine also regularly strikes civilian targets in Donetsk and Luhansk;
- the information about the dead military officials in the headquarters was provided by Ukraine. It would be good to point this out.
Thanks for telling us the truth man
From what was supposed to be a super technological modern war, it turned into the poor version of the World War I, with some splashes of the World War II. I also see reminiscences of the Winter War, the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan and the Iran-Iraq War.
War. War never changes.
Honestly pretty expected considering the type of terrain it is. Iran-Iraq War is the best comparison albeit with drones too.

I'm dissapointed in you guys. You completely glossed over the fact that Ukrainian forces failed to even REACH Russia's main defensive line in their big offensive, being completely stopped by picket lines. They also lost most of their offensive capabilities in that offensive, hence why we've seen no major offensive operations since then.
You also called out Russian Neo Nazis but completely glossed over that Azov is also neo nazi.
Explain how is Azov neonazi?

iirc the most credible reason for the plane crash was a hand grenade that was set off mid-flight
I believe it was a bomb on board of the plane. Could be wrong
How all of you youtubers will be shocked when all the figures for casualties will be revealed. From both Sides
after the counter offensive the death ratio of russians and ukraine is no longer 3 to 1, but 1.5 to 1. explains so much about the death of boys just for robotyne and adiivka. the counter offensive took too much casualties man. with the critical manpower shortage rn, seems like 50 billion worth of Western weapons arent gonna shoot themselves dont they? all of these equipment with no one to operate will just go to storage and wait for it to be located and get iskandr'ed

@urdnotwrex6969 oh yeah, Russia has only lost 50k.... cmon dude. At least try.
8:30 So confusing for one to come to a conclusion that it was RU who blew up that dam. Considering that the destruction of the Kahk(o/i)vka dam led to flooding of the Russian positions. Kinda like saying that Russia blew up Nord Streams to deprive Europe of its gas.
Also you chose to remain silent about so many stuff, for exmple:
-Ukraine's mobilization policies, when people are literally caught on streets, then forcibly dragged into the vans of recruitment officers;
-The ongoing schism in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The schismatics canonize real Nazis there AND are considered legit orthodox, unlike the real branch there;
-Comparison of military industries of both UA+NATO and RU (Russia takes the W here in, say, artillery shells, thus you not bringing it up is understandable).
Woulda included all of that if it was the other way around, though?
Would love to see your take on the Eritrean War of Independence (1961-1991) and the border war with Ethiopia (1998-2000)!
Winter War: Part 2 Electric Boogaloo
@@patrickwelch3859
Notably Finland was on its own throughout the Winter War. Not so much here. Not even close.

@@patrickwelch3859 Meh. Choose your overlord. I'd rather NOT be tied to russia/china/iran.
And expect if there's a ww3 somehow ends the same way as ww2 which is highly unlikely.

Give me a sorce for those numbers I highly doubt the offensive army is going to make less casualties than the defender especially by that much

Prigozhin's rebellion, surrender, and death have this weird filler arc energy to them.
A lot of the time I just think of these modern wars as just the occasional skirmish or something of the like. Now I see this is a full-fledged war.
tl;dr Ukraine's country offensive failed and they're slowly being pushed back, thanks for watching my ted talk
Even more accurately “The US’s and NATO’s counter offensive failed”. Since it’s their equipment, their officers making the plan and their people running the country. Ukraine as a state ceased to exist the moment the US deemed it an “interest” of theirs in 2013
The counteroffensive was halted also by the Surovikin line
The simulations forgot to consider one thing. What if the Russians don't run away and stand their ground instead
@asavelakuse6865. That's what Russians actually want to because it will reduce the casualties and also to trap Ukrainan. Hence most Ukrainan faces empty trenches and some even got mines on it.
But I think Russians are not standing, rather advancing.....
They also gained more land than Ukraine does in summer offensive.
The only reason why either side hasn’t had a breakthrough is because neither side has air support so its just WW1 all over again.

its kind of sad AH skip small details like the soviet weapons depo inside Soledar that give Wagner an edge in supply chains as the weapons got use against the AFU and the confirmation of loses of NATO equipment in the ukranian counter offensive but the narration is good and the animation is absolutly beautiful now in 2024 the momentum is on Russia as the lost of Avdiivka made crack in ukranian defenses and the lack of trenches behind it made way for a russian advance towards Chasiv Yar and now the Kharkiv offensive seems to have put Ukraine on a precarious situation having stretch its forces, looking forward for the 2024 video animation
