Attack on Titan never fails with their openings. These all honestly tie for my favorite song, I've memorized all lyrics of all three songs, the entire length songs in English and Japanese
The 4th Season is different because the Problem has changed. It isnt Man against Titan. Its now Man against Humanity. Thus a change in intro to strike our own humanity makes sense
That's no reason to make the opening boring... It's another situation, but the op4 sounds more like a flashback and thats simply not awesome enough for a series like this.
Yeah i agree, if the themes from 4th opening were in another series it would have worked well but since it has the three before it which are masterpieces of building up hype and intensity it feels so out of place that it loses its credit.

They really took their time doing these, the first op does an amazing job at expressing what the show is about, which is what an op should do(specially when it's the first one), the second is presented in the middle of the first season, representing how things have changed now that Eren is finally a member of the survey corps, and also discovered his titan powers, overall it sounds like the first one a lot, but with it's differences, then comes the third, that breaks a lot(not all) of the similarities between the first 2 ones, simbolyzing how things *really* changed now that they are discovering new things about the titans and titan shifters, Eren is able to control his titan better, Reiner and Bert revealed themselves and overall how season 2 really changes the anime, but still keeps *a bit* of the first season's charm, so with season 3 I really expect they to do a new intro, that doesn't have nothing to do with the first 3 ones, because when the season hits, the show will basically be completely different Sorry for the long comment, I got excited and it'd just be a waste of time if I just deleted it.

While I quite happily sing along with all of the openings, there is just something irresistible about Guren no Yumiya’s “Wir sind die jäger (Honoo no you ni akiku)” etc. that makes me HAVE to sing along.
