To my knowledge Isidro Lopez, Beth Villa Chris Sandoval, Oscar martinez,Paulino Bernal,Ernesto Guerra ,Beto Villa,Henry Zamora, Oscar Hernandez, Ramiro De LA Cruz, Mr Mata ,Mr Prado, Tony De LA Rosa,Pe pe Maldonado and other Valley musicians were playing in the 40s and 50s ,what became Tejano and conjunto, in the 60s, when I came in the picture, I played on stage and some of this band s in 1960 n 1961,Falcon Record Recording hired me as their studio Guitar player, 1960 to 1963,recorded around 30 albums ,worked the owners Rafael Ramirez n Arnoldo Ramirez n Tomas Ortiz of he was the Recording Engineer, he worked with Eugenio Abregon LOS ALLEGRES DE TERAN,WE WERE VERY GOOD FRIENDS, I WAS 13 YEARS OLD, A LOT OF THIS MUSICIANS WERE MY MOTHERS AGE,BUT THEY ENJOYED WORKING WITH ME ,I AM PURO TEJANO, THIS ARE THE MUSICIANS I KNEW BUT THERE WERE SOME GROUPS, I WAS BORN IN LAREDO,BIT RAISED IN THE CITY OF PALMS ,MCALLEN TEXAS I LOVE AMERICA

WOW! I was born and raised in Laredo. Raised my children in Laredo. I love this music. Remember going AC after Friday night football games when I was in high school. Such good times. Wouldn't trade my life for anything. I love this Video. Thanks for sharing it.

Tejano means Texas born Mexican. Tejano is also a style of music based on the Ranchera. Ranchera is from Mexico.

As I remember,... that back then, this music was called 'Musica de Conjunto'. 'Tejano' was never used until Little Joe, Sunny, Augustin and the like came into the scene with a sound that didn't incorporate the accordian at all, large groups with lots of horns. And it was called Musica Orquestal Tejana' or Tejano Music. Now it's all called Tejano Music.

Carlos Guzman y Los Fabulous Cuatro was the first Tejano Band with an accordion Mando Hinojosa ,Snowball on guitar, and other valley musicians, in the 60s,

Back then there was conjuto Bernal, Isidro Lopez orchestra,alleges de Te ran Nor teno ,Carlos Guzman y Los Fabulous 4 with SNOWBALL,TEJANO MUSIC Was born SNOWBALL ON GUITAR ,ISIDRO LOPEZ is the FATHER OF TEJANO MUSIC ,but it was not called TEJANO, you are right it was orchestra, but the chord progression is what makes TEJANO MUSIC, N SNOWBALL DE LA CRUZ mastered that
