- This hospital we explored today is called Trinity Lutheran Hospital. The hospital was open for close to a 100 years, before closing permanently in 2001. This hospital had a variety of cool features and we found plenty of stuff left behind. Including a morgue in the basement, lots of equipment, and a variety of other fascinating artifacts.

Some buddies and I were there about 2 years ago too! Its being torn down now. Crazy how the other half has been turned into 'luxury apartments'
My mother worked in the cath lab here when I was young. I remember sitting in the control room with all the monitoring equipment while they did procedures.
That is really cool!! Thank you for sharing!!
@@exploretheabandoned Thanks for posting! This was in the late 80s/early 90s I believe. I remember the smell of the orange iodine they used. I was always sad when I drove by after it closed. Seems like such a waste of space now. But glad you got to explore it.
Far over a million dollars. Just in radiology alone. Sad how it was just all left to waste away. Awesome video. If you ever explore in Shawnee County I'd love to meet up and go along.
My mother worked here for well over a decade, and both my grandmother and I volunteered here. It breaks my heart to see the old girl in this condition. It was an amazing place to grow up around, and the people who worked with my mom were like a second family in a way.
Same did kt intern here. Born here.
Wow! I'm in Iowa now, but I was born in that hospital!
I was to.
I was, too.
Congrats on 1k subs
Thank you!!
My ex-mother-in-law worked in housekeeping at TLH for about 20 years before retiring in the late 1980's.
My mom went to nursing school at Trinity (when they had school of nursing) then taught there for a little while. This would break her heart. :-(
Crazy our crew was just there not too long ago! Awesome video
Thank you I hope you enjoyed watching!
Sad that the place is so trashed, but cool you have find some old hospital machines

Thank you for watching!! It was pretty scary!! Haha
So cool!
I live in MO, wish I could go explore places like this! 👍
You should go for it if you want to do it!
@@exploretheabandoned do you know what road it is on? I would love to go!
West 31st & Wyandotte Street. It is near the World War 1 memorial. Hopefully this helps.
You think it’s worth making an episode on this place? Paranormal wise?
I think it could be!! We could show you around
Great video!
Thank you so much!!
I would love to see you guys go up to the patient floors
We’re thinking about doing a part 3 sometime there and we’ll definitely show more of the patient floors.
Never went down to the morgue to much condensation of the walls on a summer day of all days scary shit
Was the morgue in the bottom floors where you enter? I couldn't find it lol
Yep you guys got the morgue. Hospital looks a lot more worse for wear. The machine you are talking about is a CT scanner. MRI’s were closed back in 90’s so it would have looked like an long hollow tube with a platform/bed that went into the tube.
How long have you been a rn for?
@@exploretheabandoned Since before you were born 😂 I started working as an RN in 1990. I actually interviewed and was offered a job at Trinity Lutheran but I did not work there.
I was literally just here yesterday
Great place to explore!

Why was it abandoned?
Two hospitals in the area merged.

That's Midtown, not Downtown

Yeah it’s worth visiting there’s quite a bit to see in there.
@@exploretheabandoned I'd love to get some video inside the building but I haven't found a way in. How did you guys get in?
@@josiahbushong5660 the side of building has doors that were closed but we forced them open tonight if you wanna visit
One of my favorite places
