i got a letter from my son when i was in Walter Reed, he was telling me that his first deployment to Afghanastan was gonna be his only one. Three days later as I was about to be released to go home i got the word he had been killed by an IED. i was and still am crushed I served 26 years honorably and dont regret anything except that my boy is gone for those of you who disrespect or talk bad about american troops come see me and we will fix your attitude i may have one leg but the other one can still kick ass. I want to hold my boy again and tell him i love him and im proud of him
Chris, I"m very sorry for your lose. My wife and I lost our son, Spec 4 Christopher Wyatt McCullough, 26 years old, on March 20,2010. In the Army I seen and did a lot, and the memories and night mares still exist after 40 plus years. But nothing I ever saw or did was as comparable as the day we were notified of the lose of our son. The last time we saw him, he hugged his mom and me and said, no matter what happens I LOVE YOU. As hard as it is to deal with on a daily basis, I have to remind myself how proud he was to be a soldier, it was what he was about. In my mind all military people are heros. I can still see him being a little snot nose kid running around the house playing army with his brothers and sister and friends. Your son, like mine are real heros, they maybe gone for now, but one day I hope like hell Ill see him again. I love and miss him every waking moment, and have vivid dreams of him.My heart goes out to you and your family, I know what your going through, something I wish no family would have to go through ever. Chris you may have only 1 leg, but your more of a man than some of these ungrateful, disrespectful scumbags on here. Id be honored to stand by you against these scumbags, my left left don't work good, have shrapnel still in it next to nerves so cant be removed, but the 2 of us could still put up a good scrap with some of these keyboard Rambos. As for our sons, they are real heros, they gave their all. And I'm dam proud of them, and all our military, past present and future
I'm a full grown man with tears and trembling from reading your words. I can't possibly fathom the depth of your sacrifice laid upon on the alter of freedom, you and your Son are in a unique class of holy Patriots. May God bless and keep you and your son Chris.
+Black Panzer Yes we all know that. The problem is the people who are out protesting are not protesting the soldgiers. They are protesting the decision to go to war. It seem that in America you are expected to agree with every war the president starts.
77tubuck And you have to. That's their strategy. Since Vietnam the american presidents knew that they couldn't start any war without the support of the population. That's why they always say that they're fighting for freedom and that they have the duty of solving all the injustices in the world. (But only when there's oil involved...)
27 years here in the army and 22 of it in the special forces and im also disabled as well and id go back again to defend my country and support all of my brothers and sisters in arms
I too served 23 years SF, am disabled, tours all over with my last and tragic tour being Afghanistan and as you Brother I also will serve again, willingly with no regrets to defend those to my left and right. De Oppresso Liber
tom collins thank you for your service sir I have the most out right respect for all of our service men and women ...I'll be joining 11b soon hopefully
I want to thank every single person that has served in the military. Tomorrow is the last time I get to see my dad for a while. I'm going to miss him dearly, but I know that he's doing something good for all of us. So thank you Daddy. I love you.
As a Veteran, former EMT/ Firefighter, and Law Enforcement officer, I have seen many of my friends die in military missions, 9-11, and many other situations. Those who have fallen are the true HEROES. We must carry on, knowing that they would want us to go on to "fight the good fight" as they had done. My heart goes out to everyone who are still dealing with the "survivors guilt" , and all those families who have lost loved ones. Thank you for this song, as it is a fitting tribute to all who have fallen doing what is right, and just, no matter in a military or civillian capacity!
If I die for this great nation, all I hope for is that everyone is safe from our enemies and that my life was not in vein. I will follow my ancestors and join our military after college. For all those haters out there, go out in the battlefield and see the hell our soldiers have to go through. I personally would rather go through hell out on the battlefield than have our enemies come knocking on our door demanding that we surrender to them. God Bless America, and God Bless all our soldiers that have and are still fighting for our country.
Thank you, for your tribute. The problem with being an old Soldier is there are so many memories that make my eyes water, and so many ghosts of the past that come and visit me at the slightest hint of a memory. It makes me realize no matter how much I have done it would never have been enough in comparison to what my fellow Marines have paid for with their lives. God Bless the Patriots of the USA. and Rest in Peace. Semper Fi.
Near where I live in England there is an American military cemetery and it is extremely humbling to see the names on the wall of thousands of young Americans who gave their lives defending my island during the Second World War. Our two countries have stood together against tyranny on many occasions, drawn a line in the sand and defended that line against those who would do us harm. God bless all these young men and women and send them safe home. I for one am pleased our two countries are friends.
Took them several years to come into the war and left Britain out in the cold defending her own island the Americans only entered the war after being attacked by the Japanese stop watching movies and read your history the people of Britain and her commonwealth across the seas died defending her island no one else !
US only helped because we set them into the Jet Age, gave them Sonar and radar which they used against Japan which was like fighting a blind man in the Pacific. Among other technology. They didn't help us for free! We stood alone in 41, France fell. We took out the French and Italian BB reducing their navies... broke the Enigma... defeated Germany in the air... pushed back the Germans in Africa... controlled the seas with the largest navy at the time.... supplied Russia with the lend lease as early as the battle of Moscow! All while we stood alone and the US kept lying to themselves. They knew Pearl Harbor would happen a year before it did!! They lost so much ground in the Pacific where a lot of lads had to die getting them back, due to being ignorant and arrogant. They let the Japs in.
If there is anyone who is owed anything by everyone . . . it's our vets who have served. We need to get the current corruption in the VA cleaned up, some heads need to roll. It's beyond comprehension that many thousands of our people come back from active duty, only to be completely dissed by various local VA facilities. If anything, I hope Madison Rising can get a song out about that!
A wonderful song that could be played while showing photos from all our wars. Each and every era, we have had men and women who have stepped forward for the defense of our Country and in doing so; many times have been maligned or 'badmouthed' by others. All I can say to those others is this "FREEDOM IS NOT FREE". RIP--to those HEROs who have died doing their sworn duty; and to the living HEROs who have come home. THANK YOU FOR SERVING AND WELCOME HOME. A retired USAF E-8 (two war Vet).
I know I can’t even begin to say how much it means to me that you risked your life for our country. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’m joining the marines when I get out of high school. God bless America!!
I'm from the UK and as the US are meant to be our brothers in arms, I have nothing but the up-most respect for each and every one of your troops and citizens. God bless America and god bless its people.
Im from Portugal and im proud that my country is allied with so many great people in fact we were the first to suport USA as a free and independent Nation... May God be with you USA, proud to be Portuguese and to be your ally
I don't usually read comments, but I'm glad I read yours. I just recently travelled to Europe: was insulted by many people--not all, but a good chunk of the young group at my residency--all basically that America was terrible, our soldiers are monsters, etc. Two nights ago I got a call from home that one of my friends was dead: he'd just hanged himself because both his brothers got shot on deployment. I guess what I'm saying is I've been feeling down for a little while and it just makes me feel better to see someone from outside the U.S. who has kind things to say. Much appreciated :)
Thank god for the American military and the British MANY people around the world long to have the freedom that we are living I know both our countries have their problems and we get things wrong but the risk your life for your country is the Ultimate sacrifice
Our Military has not fought for freedom since day one. We have always fought for Money or Power. we are involved in every other countries affairs and that is why we are at war all the time.We are the worlds biggest Bullies and if you don't like it we will beat your ass.Every problem we are involved in is our doing. Our latest and greatest is the Muslim people. Our governments have imported them so that we would have a new victim of Hate.Open Your Eyes!
RIP my fallen brother's and sister's!! Army Strong to ALL those whom are still serving!! You are family and NO one will take that from me!! Love you all!! SFC T
Army Strong to those whom has fallen because I am sure that they are showing God how to prevail against enemies!! He prevails against Satan and WE prevail against Communist asshole's whom attack Our FREE America!! Love you ALL!!! SFC T
Thank you for the effort and the heart that you put into this. We need to thank every service member and their family for doing what their country has asked of them.
The country artist performing this version of "If I Die Before You Wake" is my great friend, Dustin Evans. Dustin cowrote this song with my friends Rick Tiger and Dave Brainard, both from Nashville. Dustin Evans deserves to be credited in the title of this tribute, as he and his cowriters have done our servicemen and women, along with us veterans, a tremendous honor. Thanks for considering my request! Jimmy Weber
thank you to all the people who support us military men/women all your support is what keeps us moving even on our darkest days so again thank you for all your support
***** God is actually capitalized and it says that, "thou shall not murder." Like out of anger and in cold blood. It does not refer to war and fighting for peace.
***** Actually - The Bible DOES NOT say "Thou shalt not kill" that is a known misinterpretation from the original ancient Hebrew in which the Bible was originally written!!!!!! It actually says "Thou shalt not commit murder." HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!
I brought our search and rescue dogs to 9-1-1 and not one of those dogs who were there serving along side of us lived longer than 6 months. While we could wear a respirator they could not. They lost their lives and all died tragic and horrible deaths. If it happened again, I would go back in a heart beat. There is a monument now that stands as a tribute to those heroes. Stand strong my brothers and sisters. Semper Fi.
You are more than welcome. It is what our service dogs are trained to do. They actually love their job and they love to work. I like to tell people that they go into hellish places so others don't have to. We think being in service is an honor. The statue honoring the service dogs is in the park in New Jersey that looks over the water to the place where the twin towers fell. God Bless.
S.R. Hurst I am here today due to my service dog. I'm a type 1 diabetic so I was never able to serve in the military but I am so thankful for all of our troops. My dog, Buddy was trained to detect when my blood sugar levels get too low. He has warned me numerous times of oncoming low blood sugars. Once in particular, I was in the phone at work and he must have been alerting me of a low blood sugar, but I must have been closing a deal or something which caused him to ignore him. Long story short, I woke up with the fire department, E.M.T.s and the police working together to make me come to. I had just undergone a severe hypoglycemia. Since I didn't respond to my dog alerting me, I fell out of my chair and from the testimony of others, I later found out that it was my dog who summoned help from my co workers who were a few doors away. The emergency workers told me that if it hadn't been for my dog, they don't think I would have made it. Thanks Buddy. I don't want to compare Buddy to the rescue dogs who lost their lives serving others but I can truly say that there is a very strong bond between service dogs and their trainers. Thanks S.R. Hurst for the time you spent working with your rescue dogs and for the horrible price they paid while never asking for anything in return.
Eric I'm so glad you have Buddy. It is truly amazing to me to watch how these special dogs work to make our lives complete and they do it just for love. I love training these dogs and watching as they go off to someone's life and those people then become a whole person again. No longer fearful of having a seizure, or low blood sugar attack, or PTSD attack. They come out of a shell that quite often they had no idea they were even in. I'll keep you and Buddy in my prayers Eric.
S.R. Hurst Thank you so much for your prayers. Just to let you know, I've been diabetic from the age of 2 and I'm 52 now. I have taken care of myself and as of today, I have no diabetic onset health issues thanks to a healthy lifestyle and to Buddy who was there when I needed him most. Buddy is a 107 pound black Lab whom I love so much. He's not obese, he's just a horse. I love it when he licks me to death when I come in to a room and I get a real kick out of the way his tail bangs against the wall when he get's a glimpse of me coming up the stairs. My story isn't a sad one as I've been very athletic, which I believe has played a major role in my ability to continue doing the things so many diabetics are no longer able to do and once again, thanks to Buddy, I'm still here to talk about the strong bond the two of us share. Thanks for taking the time to work with rescue dogs and for quick reply to my comment. I'll keep your rescue dog effort in my prayers. I would be very interested in you keeping me posted on any developments regarding any new rescues your dogs are involved in. Thanks again, Eric
I'm shaking while I write this. My son is an American Airman. I couldn't be more proud. I love my country. I always have. I love our troops. I always have. I love my son. The saying holds true, if you can't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. They are doing their job. We are free because of the brave. I LOVE YOU ALL!!
I remember why I joined. I was in the 10th grade back when my older brother died. Ever since than joining the military became the most important thing to me. I am proud to be a U.S airmen. I respect my marine brother for everything he sacrificed for me. R.I.P Corp. Rodney Smith 1988-2009. I am still going strong bro, see you someday. Thank you for this tribute. I really appreciate it.
SeirraNevada Yeah... We had damn fly boys there that were getting an allowance for inferior living conditions and we thought we were doing Ok!!! ARMY STRONG!!!
Doesn't matter if you agree with war or not, how much you hate it, how much you disagree with it, you should still respect every soldier that serves, has served and has given their life and honour then for serving your country and giving us what we have today!
I do have nothing but respect for every last man and woman putting their life on the line everyday just so we can sit here on youtube and what not but I really do wish all these pointless wars would end so that tributes like this wouldn't be necessary.
I weep for all those who have given their lives to protect ours. Their sacrifices are not forgotten and are not in vain. As I pray for peace I thank each and every service man and woman and their families. Past, present and future. May God bless you all.
To my fellow Americans in harms way. I wish I could stand alongside of you. I am to old now, but I was their before and know what you are going through. God Bless each and everyone of you.
My high school friends earned the privilege of having their names on that 'Nam Memorial. My own military service never saw the horrors of war, but, if anything, that just made my appreciation of those who laid it down for their friends more significant. Therefore, I assume the responsibility of protecting what they died for, not a rag flag, but the spirit of "endowed by their Creator,... inalienable rights..." If it takes another life to keep America the Land of the Free, I'll let it be mine! I owe it to those who went before.
Videos like these and the people like you (ones supporting the military), make me glad and remind me why I enlisted in the Army. I wasn't forced, I wasn't pressured. In fact my own family was sad when I enlisted. Coming from a military family, I saw the struggles that soldiers and families of soldiers go through. Everyone should support and love the troops. Can I get a HOOAH?!
From a 4th generation member of our Armed Forces, whose 18 year old daughter just became a 5th generation soldier: Many members of my family have proudly served in the military so that EVERYONE would have the right to voice their opinions...Yes, even those who do not respect or appreciate the sacrifices made by our veteran and active duty members of the military. I would risk my life again and again for the safety and well-being of my family and all Americans. #N8V-Veteran #USArmy #GodBlessTheUSA
I am a member of the prestigious U.S. Navy. This is the song I gave to my mom, and my wife before I shipped out the first time. I'm home, and I've reenlisted because there's still a job to do. I speak for all members of the armed service in thanking you all for your support it's what gets us through the days. Thank you all for showing us the love you have when we come home.
God bless each and everyone of our troops wherever they may be tonight...I am so very very proud of all of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifices.
I lost a father, and a close friend in service. I am now retired but bless their souls and all who have served. Thank you for serving this country. From a vet to all the ones serving now. We support you. Thank you all

Thank you for all those who have served and those who are serving now. You have my gratitude and deepest respect. Blessings to the families who also sacrifice.
Thank all of you who have served, are serving and will serve this great nation. i am enlisting in the marines this month! To give back what this country has given to me. i will stand and fight for my brothers and sisters across this nation and happily give my life to save theirs. i will protect this nation as much as i can. Thank you all and i will soon be with you.
I love and hate this song, just reminds me of my uncle who was killed in action just an hour before his daughter took her first breath in this world back on July 1, 2012.
the sacrifices soldiers make are not easy. they leave behind their family never knowing if they will ever see them again. they do it to keep everyone in their country free and to stop the conflict in others. rest in peace to all of those who have given up their lives . may those who are serving be protected and come back home safely
happy anniversary and veterans day to my uncle who was on the marine corps who served in Afghanistan thanks for your service and im thankful that you are alive
I'm laying here thinking about all of our vets and my ancestors have fought as far back as the civil war for this nation on proud to say thank you to all our vet past present and future you will never be forgotten in my home
+Mazode Gaming all I got to say is my family is proud to be descended from some of our countries great protectors I'm proud to be a veterans daughter granddaughter niece cousin I am proud to say some of my ancestors stood for what they thought as right and I forgive you for your I'll thoughts towards our soldiers
Before I die in the military, I'm going to have a note in my vest pocket, when they find me, course they'll clear my gear, they'll find a ring, and a note saying "Honey, if you're reading this, then you got the tri-folded flag, and a visit from my buddy, I put my ring in here, just in case you decide to re-marry, if you decide to stay a widow, bring the ring back and put it on my flag near my cross with your ring, I'll be looking down at you and the little one, I'll ask God for a favor. I'll ask him, 'can I let my wife know I saw her put the ring on my flag?' if you feel a hand on your shoulder, that's me. Letting you know that I saw what you did, and I will always love you, and I'll be waiting for you, I'll always be running towards the golden gates, when I hear them open. I love you, I'm drinking a cold one with my fallen brothers and sisters, we're talking about what we'll do when our husbands and wives join us up here. But know this, no matter what option you pick, I won't care, just so long as you're happy. Let the little one know that papa is watching her/him, and let her know that I will always be there for her, though I won't be able to hold her, I'll be near her crying with her. Don't be sad I'm gone, be happy I fought for you, and died for everyone else. I love you, and that will never change." That's what the paper will say.
Mike Brown Shit I still got 2 more years before I can join...kinda wish it was 16 to join at free will...Getting tired of sitting on my ass watching ISIS get away with all the shit they're doing now...
Marshall, You'll be fine. Stay scared, it will keep you alive. If you do what you're told, you'll come home safe and sound. Believe, brother. Always believe in what you're doing is right and just, and you're saving lives. It's not bullshit, our military saves lives. If you ever get to Minnesota, you contact me, we'll get drunk, play some pool, throw some darts, score some chicks.
those that wear the uniform, past, present, and future, for they are my brothers and sisters. fear is healthy, it will keep you alive, but know little brother, to fear something and face it anyway... that is courage, all your brothers and sisters who will stand beside you will show the same courage you speak of, and that little brother is what will bring you and them home healthy and whole
don't think like that from one brother to another. you haye my utmost respect I sign that contract to protect this country. to protect my family and friends and people that I have meet in my life. I have not meet you but you are my brother . GOD bless you and I will keep you in prayers.
I served 15 years in the 45th battalion royal marines I have saw a lot of death and lot of destruction, I was soon near to death and almost joined my brothers from around the world warriors but I choose to stay alive and keep on fighting for my brothers and sisters, rember we never die. we regroup and keep fighting, when there thunder were here watching down on you and making sure your safe. but also rember we never wont death or destruction we just wont our brother and sister to come home !
I just grieve for all the young lives lost over generations...i have walked through a grave yard full of soldiers and asked why why!!!such a loss...i wish there was another way...I ask the angels to protect you and hope we see the end one day.x.(James wife)
i'm Australian, but I served, as did my family members, my young cuzzies still serve today. me and my fellow serving members(well most of us) and a particular cuz, survived, but we share the pain of friends and relatives that didn't . god bless America, and I hope Australia as well. would swap places with my not here mates in a minute. I some times wonder if death would have been an easier way to deal with what we did, what we saw. I am not only navy, I also served in public service (I guess I should say police), but I must say all levels of service are not the same, some are at different levels, some take a little more understanding than others. but hooray to all that served, may we all demand the same respect, alive or dead.
maurice, I served 50 to 54 and was proud to have served with Aussies and Canadians. Aussies were some of the bravest men I ever saw. If worst comes to worst,we may need a dozen of you boys over here. seems we are getting a problem with BLM and Muslims. About time to clean house! Know what you mean by hard to deal with. my first ten years were ( didn't care if I died) wrought with PTSD . was lucky enough to find work where the super had the same problem but had been treated privately and he helped me get to where life was worth living. worked there 23 years. Have a great day, mate, catch you on the bye.
thank you veterans for your service. and keeping our country safe. thank you I plan on going in the marines after high school in three years God bless you
To all the men and woman of the military, to those who have passed and the ones still on earth, thank you for service and know that you all are loved and will always be remembered . May God bless every last one of you always
Veterans must have great strength not just because of what they face in battles but also once they come home they have to deal with stupid pricks who hate on them and don't appreciate what the military has given them. I think anyone who hates on the military should go to hell
+Gordo Garcia July will complete my one year since I got out the service, since I've gotten out I feel I've been more stereotyped for being a monster instead of a person who contributed to the U.S.A, it's very sad it almost makes me depressed.
+Edwin Villalobos If you're getting that depressed over what some shit head has to say to you then shine it off and move on . By giving anyone that much power over you, you will fail. Take control of your own life and do not allow someone else to even think to alter your own perception. you already know whats real. So get it together and move out trooper.
On a song such as this there should be no arguing just remembrance of the fallen that gave their lives for us to have everything we have today. God bless and we all love you. RIP
Phillip Frye awesome. I don’t remember anything about MOS numbers anymore, I got out in the ‘90’s. What’s a 3531? I remember mine, 1371 and that’s it. Wait a minute, 3531 was somehow related to 1371. I drove trucks and construction equipment. I got hurt and couldn’t meet MC PT standards but was still good enough to meet the Navy’s, so I became an equipment operator in the SeaBees. 3531 was some other kind of driving job if I remember right. If I’m wrong, that’s ok, I’ve been wrong a lot in my life. I’m proud of you for following through. Not many do nowadays. Semper Fi! Good luck with your career and thank you for your service. I’m 100% surprised that you responded after that long.
Amen! Thank you so much for posting this great song. Here are a few things to think about. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14). We need to keep our nation in prayer and ask for God to have mercy on our nation. I am in no way against fighting the just wars we have fought and are continuing to fight today. What I'm saying is that our nation has turned it's back on God and we need to turn back towards God. I can't help but wander what God thinks of us when we turn our back on Israel, or when we allow infanticide to take place in so called planned parenthood clinics. I can't help but wander how God views our allowing the teaching of pseudoscience science in our schools in order to keep from admitting that there is a creator. When Godly men do nothing or remain silent, the result is the wicked will prevail and I'm afraid we've allowed the wicked to prevail. We need to get back to the principles that once made our nation strong. I think most of us still consider us to be a Christian nation. If we are in deed a Christian nation and read the manual that God left us to direct our lives, the Bible, It should be clear to us that we can't allow many of the things that we allow today go on in America. The Bible is clear on another matter that too many of us are silent about. Don't take it from me, take it from the word of God. To those who are not familiar with this passage in Romans, I would suggest reading the entire chapter of Romans 1 so you can see that I'm not taking anything out of context, but I'll just leave that up to you. Here it is Romans 1:26-27 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. I think it's pretty clear that God has plenty of reason to be angry with us and I include myself here. I just pray that we wake up and stand up for righteousness. Thanks to all who served and were willing to pay the ultimate price. It makes my blood boil when I see those who, while waiving their peace signs, spit on or curse our troops when they return home. Those who do such deplorable things don't deserve the freedoms our troops paid a very heavy price for. I'm proud of those who are willing to put our nation before themselves. Sacrifice, as most of us know, is a Godly principle.
Joyce SmithBrown I'm so glad to see we are on the same page. I'm sure you will be as I will be praying for our nation and for God to protect our armed forces. As I'm sure you know, much of the content in my comment came out of God's word so I'm not worthy of any thanks. We need to thank God for giving us a chance to repent and ask for his mercy. I'm so glad my sins have been forgiven and that God has allowed me the blessing of living in this great nation. I just pray that he will be as merciful to our nation as he has been to me.
Eric Coovert I have read your comment and I have a question' I am allways told by people friends im something more then a man but a angel I don't say I am or I aint im 16 and allways been close to god and jesus allso I pray to the lords angel mostly. The 7 archangels mainly Michael he commands the heavenly host HIS NAME (Michael) meens ↓ : He who is like god Eney ways I am close with god and jesus and I allways pray and ask if I have a special purpose in this life I knoe im different and you wouldn't know unless you met me I have asked many people from church and friends why they say im a angel but just don't know it and they say : I have a light around me they say I enter in the room and they feel a overwhelming feeling of love and strength they think its ME!? I won't lie it feels great to be looked at as A angel but I have to know is it possible that I could be more then just a person ? Please tell me if you have heard of eney one being a angelic human I know it sound crazy but from what I know of angels I am just like them I must get answers am I more then just a Man? By the way my name is Isaiah named after the prophet; )
Isaiah Vega once your filled with Gods holy light by his holy spirit you are different . and yes saying you are an angel is a good metaphor but we are more we are kings and queens in Gods kingdom . but don't let pride come into your heart humble yourself before the lord always .
Isaiah Vega Why pray to Michael or any other angel or archangel when you can pray directly to God? All of the angels are merely a part God's creation. To answer your question as to weather or not you are an angel or an angelic human is actually quite simple. I find that it's best to get the answers to any question relating to God or heavenly beings directly from God's word, (the Bible). Since the Bible tells us in James 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of he glory of God. In this passage the word all, refers to humans since we inherited our sin nature from Adam. We also know that the only angels that sin are Satan and the other angels that fell with him. I personally know people who seem to light up a room and just being around them gives others a since of well being. I'll even say that some have said the same about me but that surely does not make me or any others angels. Since all angels fall into two categories, either they are not sinners, or they are part of those that were cast out of heaven with Satan. I surely don't think you feel you are part of the later group. Furthermore, If you were an angelic being, don't you think God would let you know you were. Since there is absolutely no mention of angelic humans in God's own word, I would never commit the blasphemy of saying there is such a thing. To say that there is, one would have to add to God's word. Revelation 22: 18-19 tells us what God will do to any man that adds to or subtracts from God's word. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. In Proverbs 3: 5-6 we are told: 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Isaiah, all of the answers are in God's word. As long as you are getting your answers from God's word, you won't go wrong. Any time I am asked my opinion on anything having to do with God or heavenly things, rather than simply giving them my opinion, I take them directly to the source, God's word. Sorry to say, many church members respond with emotion rather than according to the principles God has set forth for us. Many of these individuals are well meaning but either they are miss informed or they simply aren't willing to dig in the Bible to find the answers. Please understand when I say I am not saying that those that say you are an angel intend to steer you in the wrong direction but one thing is for sure, they are not giving you the truth. Could it be that is simply their way of saying you are an exceptional young man? If they truly mean you are literally an angel, I would have to question their so called wisdom. Isaiah, you are a young man and there are plenty out there that will try to lead young people astray. To everything I say here, I will be the first to tell you not to take my word for it but see if what I am telling you agrees with God's word. Hope this helps.
***** i like your metaphor but in practice one mans oppression may be anothers law to have one country draw lines in the sand for others whilst screaming freedom seems a little hypocritical. For instance the reason america and other western countries have been met with so much resistance in their efforts in the middle east is because of a complete and total clash of cultures. in the muslim world all are equal under god, along as they are loyal to god and only god they believe that by giving themselves up to a higher power than any king or country they are free. So its very easy for them to view the interference of capitalist western countries as a direct threat to their way of life, because their religion is the nucleus of both their social and political law. Is a terrorist screaming Allah-Ackbar in the name of his god really any different to a marine yelling freedom in the name of his country ? the ideals may be different but the outcomes the same. The only truth is the worlds a cruel place, war breeds war and a bayonet is a weapon with a worker on each side.
R.I.P. to all who lost there lives protecting us. Bless there families! Hugs to all. Only wish all were able to get back home. Thank you all. Thanks for the video
Thank you for putting yourself in danger just so we the USA can be safe from evil. I'm proud to be part of this country....come home safe and for the ones who are home...welcome home
Thanks Tristan. I served 21 years in the US Navy and have seen the entire world. I love the flag we represent and wish all Americans would treat us with a little respect. I was in the Libyan Conflict, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, 9/11m and Afghanistan. I would do this for our country. I salute all military and veterans!
My uncle just got sent over seas to be on the front line as a marine I hope everyday we don't get that call that he had died I promise my whole family I will do what they tell me with no questions asked I am 17 and I am a senior as soon as I get out of school in 3 weeks I will be in a training camp to be 1 of Americas brave soldiers who put there lives on the line so we don't die I believe if we had no military were better off kissing our asses goodbye for those fucks who don't believe that war should happen I agree but the only way we will not wake up in a crowded house with 50 people you don't know is war without war we wouldn't be this butiful country we live in without a brave army of Americas finest soldiers we would die. Should I go over seas? Yes to me I love the USA any people say I shouldn't
well that gets you right in the heart doesn't it, I hope my brother is okay along with all the other brave men and women out there who stand by his side in the Marines, and to everyone else who serves their country
As someone who has lost my comrades over seas, please remember no soldiers wants to or tries to be a hero. We just want to be soldier, marine, sailor, or airman. A hero doesn't come home.
Allen Price I am a E-4 for the United States army 88 Mike transportation unit I had lost six very close and dear friends over in Afghanistan and I agree about how you said heros don't come back that's why I tell people I'm not a hero
hey, Just a head up. that means your brother is a good man. a strong man who wears his hearth allong with his uniform. and dont let anyone convince you otherwise.
I just watched/listened to the tribute video, which was a link on a new channel I just subscribed to, and it was very moving to me to say the least. I sang along with it, and I do not sing!! (yet) just play music and tell stories like this, sorta, but any way, thanks for sharing such beautiful moving "art" for all of us to enjoy! But not just enjoy, it is (not was) so very real and moving, best I can say in a quick reply...Still feeling it...;o)
My Grandfather served in WW 2 and I always run into people that might have served beside him I thank all veterans from every war for protect the Homeland so that we all can sleep in Peace
I was a soldier, I shed my blood and don't need to say anymore about me. Because I was one of the lucky, I cam home, I recovered, and I did what I thought was right. But this is about the kids now fighting for us and all the kids before me and them who fought for our country and didn't come home or who suffered from life ending or changing wounds. This is a great video, it helps show why we do it. God Bless.
War cost so much, more than what average folks can ever know. I rarely talk about what when on, my son is the same, so is my dad. All three of us are combat vets, we have our wounds that we don't really talk about, I pray for all those still on the line, you are never forgotten.
I kinda felt like this during my jump week at airborne school, after our Jumpmasters were telling us horror stories about soldiers losing limbs due to improper static line positioning, malfunctions and other causes. And as my luck would have it, my parachute "cigarette rolled" on my first jump.
this video makes me cry everytime i watch it becuase i know what its like dealing with a loved one over seas risking their lives everyday for u ..... my step dad has to leave again here soon and this video is amazing i just wanted to thank you for making this because it's the truth .. my mom cry's every night when hes gone and it breaks my heart to see her and him hurt because i know he is hurting on the phone when i start crying when i say i love and miss you.... just Thank You so much
Me and my choir class are learning the armed forces medley. It makes me feel very patriotic about my country! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SERVED IN OUR MILITARY! SEMPER FI!
My grandmother raised 8 children. 2 Marines, 2 Navy men and 4 Army men. 1 of those Marines was my Aunt. Several of my cousins have carried on the tradition. I understand what the military is and how the families feel. I love and respect our servicemen and women. Thank you and may God hold you in his loving arms, now and forever.
:( some people don't understand things like this...when someone goes into the military everyone around them is effected not jus them. don't do it out of spite do it out of love, compassion, and care..my fiancé is in the marines and has been for four long years now..i cried myself to sleep everynight and wonder when he will or if he will come home..things are hard but it makes us stronger and there is always someone there willing to help and support you. I love this song even know its hard to hear and makes me cry..
i got a letter from my son when i was in Walter Reed, he was telling me that his first deployment to Afghanastan was gonna be his only one.
God bless you and your sons and your service.
I'm a full grown man with tears and trembling from reading your words. I can't possibly fathom the depth of your sacrifice laid upon on the alter of freedom, you and your Son are in a unique class of holy Patriots. May God bless and keep you and your son Chris.
@@davidmccullough2376 God bless you and your family oh greatest of Americans, I wish there was something I could say or do more.

A soldier is the last person in the world who wants a war.
Last?
So true but I'd do it as many times as needed for you and everyone else and if ur a vet too from my whole heart thanks
+Black Panzer
Yes we all know that.
SO TRUE
CAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT LIES AHEAD
HE KNOWS THE TRUTH OF THE CONSECCUENSES THE WAR WILL BRING
NOT ONLY FOR HIM
BUT FOR HIS FAMILY AND HOME COUNTRY
Thinking of all you guys. A British veteran, proud to have worked with the U.S. forces.
God bless! Both of our countries thank you for your selfless service.
@@JuggernautHunter02 Amen!

tom collins thank you for your service sir I have the most out right respect for all of our service men and women ...I'll be joining 11b soon hopefully
+howard baxter God Bless You. I'm proud of you stay safe.
Patricia Poole thanks, and stay safe too.
Thanks for all yall do for our freedom. We love you for that. May God protect and keep you safe.

And may God protect all our citizens such as you.
jean profite anyone who threatens the peace of American citizens.
Semper Fi.
Amen and God bless you

Well said Marine. Semper Fi!
Hooah!!!
Wasn't like that in the beginning
The Netherland, The United Kingdom, The United States and Canada Thank you for your Service and be safe 💋🙏🏼🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦🇳🇱
As a veteran i will tell you
We do not want anything
We just did a job
If we got hurt just fix us or help us
nothing more
+Charles Ostman I owe my freedom to the brave soldiers who stormed the French beaches on D day, Band of Brothers, thank you
Charles Ostman my dad
I love your videos and I have been giving money to the army
John Potter I thank you you are from God
it's not a joke to be an American soldier, may The Lord of Hosts remember them all!!!
I served in iraq and saw many of my brothers give the ultimate sacrifice... God bless the u.s.a. and the people who defend it....

Andre Ferreira - With you all the way on your comment.
Your in my prayers young man.I lost my little brother on the 12th of this month. I know your pain. Be Well and pray for Peace!

***** Thou shalt not commit murder. There are reasons to kill in the bible but not murder there's a difference.

Semper Fi.
I've never heard that before! So sad. Thank you for the info. Thank you for your service, also, as well as a thank you to our rescue dogs.
Thanks again,
Eric
I'm shaking while I write this. My son is an American Airman. I couldn't be more proud. I love my country. I always have. I love our troops. I always have. I love my son. The saying holds true, if you can't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. They are doing their job. We are free because of the brave. I LOVE YOU ALL!!
Long live America. We owe the Military for our safety. Thank you all members and veterans of the Armed Service.
I remember why I joined. I was in the 10th grade back when my older brother died. Ever since than joining the military became the most important thing to me. I am proud to be a U.S airmen. Doesn't matter if you agree with war or not, how much you hate it, how much you disagree with it, you should still respect every soldier that serves, has served and has given their life and honour then for serving your country and giving us what we have today!
your so right
I do have nothing but respect for every last man and woman putting their life on the line everyday just so we can sit here on youtube and what not but I really do wish all these pointless wars would end so that tributes like this wouldn't be necessary.
I weep for all those who have given their lives to protect ours. Their sacrifices are not forgotten and are not in vain. As I pray for peace I thank each and every service man and woman and their families. Past, present and future. May God bless you all.
Cathy Moeller This was so well said. The men and women sacrifice SO much to keep us safe. God Bless
I joined ! i leave tomorrow for Fort Bragg NC
How’d it go?

I love and hate this song, just reminds me of my uncle who was killed in action just an hour before his daughter took her first breath in this world back on July 1, 2012.
Helpful Medic July 1st is weirdly my birthday.
the sacrifices soldiers make are not easy. they leave behind their family never knowing if they will ever see them again. they do it to keep everyone in their country free and to stop the conflict in others.
rest in peace to all of those who have given up their lives .
may those who are serving be protected and come back home safely

Thats a good way to think and feel you are a good person.
Wow, Damn I cried...Thank you for writing this dramatically beautiful response...I want to thank you for giving my family and me freedom...

God bless you, Marshall, and keep you safe.
Thanks guys love yous😘😃

I just grieve for all the young lives lost over generations...i have walked through a grave yard full of soldiers and asked why why!!!such a loss...i wish there was another way...I ask the angels to protect you and hope we see the end one day.x.(James wife)
Thank god, we have freedom and is still alive here I salute to you US Army
i'm Australian, but I served, as did my family members, my young cuzzies still serve today. me and my fellow serving members(well most of us) and a particular cuz, survived, but we share the pain of friends and relatives that didn't . god bless America, and I hope Australia as well. would swap places with my not here mates in a minute.
May God Bless every single one of you !! America loves you !!
thank you veterans for your service. and keeping our country safe. thank you I plan on going in the marines after high school in three years God bless you
During this video, I paused it, and decided to ask my friend who's dad is in the military, to say thanks for me.

I think anyone who hates on the military should go to hell
amen brother. but I will not stand for to disgrace them in front of me.
amen!
amen
+Gordo Garcia July will complete my one year since I got out the service, since I've gotten out I feel I've been more stereotyped for being a monster instead of a person who contributed to the U.S.A, it's very sad it almost makes me depressed.
+Edwin Villalobos If you're getting that depressed over what some shit head has to say to you then shine it off and move on . By giving anyone that much power over you, you will fail. Take control of your own life and do not allow someone else to even think to alter your own perception. you already know whats real. So get it together and move out trooper.
May god bless all the American soldiers.
EVERYONE serving in ANY branche of the military got my total respect.
~Germany

Phillip Frye Semper Fi!
Phillip Frye did you follow through?
@@biohazard_613 yes I did just took a 6 month extension I'm a 3531
Phillip Frye awesome.
Here it is
Romans 1:26-27
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Eric. Thank you. I could not have said it all as well as you. God Bless all those who fought and continue to fight.
The 7 archangels mainly Michael he commands the heavenly host HIS NAME (Michael) meens ↓
: He who is like god
Eney ways I am close with god and jesus and I allways pray and ask if I have a special purpose in this life I knoe im different and you wouldn't know unless you met me I have asked many people from church and friends why they say im a angel but just don't know it and they say : I have a light around me they say I enter in the room and they feel a overwhelming feeling of love and strength they think its ME!?
I don't believe in the war we were fighting for the last ten years. But i believe in the military.
Need more like you.
I believe 9/11 was from out own government
would you be shocked if active thought the same ;)
***** i like your metaphor but in practice one mans oppression may be anothers law to have one country draw lines in the sand for others whilst screaming freedom seems a little hypocritical.
Respect to all american soldiers - Sweden
***** I agree with you. We need to make our voices heard.
Same over here in Britain, its sad isn't it?
1st. Lt. Michael G. MADDIN
They kill geroge bush
I'm not going to thank god.
I'm going to thank all the soldiers.
For all of those soldiers who lived thank GOD for that
If it were not for God there would be no troops. He is the creator.
Or we thank that they just made it out alive with luck? God played no role.
I don't think luck plays a role in life. Things in life happen for a reason wether we see that reason or not.
sorry but when a bullet wizzes past your face religion goes out the window
GOD BLESS ARE TROOPS THANKYOU
FOR THE SACRIFICE COME HOME SAFE
well that gets you right in the heart doesn't it, I hope my brother is okay along with all the other brave men and women out there who stand by his side in the Marines, and to everyone else who serves their country

Semper Fi
What the hell is wrong with you? Some people do lose family, so don't go and sassy your head of however you are!
Sorry people if that was rude!
just enjoy the music, and its spelt hell, educate yourself fuckin mlp fangirl.
Hey watch it ! :^
And sorry it has an automatic rest on certain words sesh.
videos like this makes me feel a bit better, to know someone cares for those who fight for what they believe in.
My Grandfather served in WW 2 and I always run into people that might have served beside him I thank all veterans from every war for protect the Homeland so that we all can sleep in Peace
What's your story Dustin? Thank You for such a moving tribute song. If you couldn't tell, you've struck a nerve with Vets from around the Free World.
