But then this game I heard that it no longer affects damage so why the fuck does the statistic exist at all. I didn’t think any of the realistic guns in this game had slow enough velocities that an increase would matter for accuracy, the ray gun is the only one i can think of that could use more velocity and of course it has no attachments at all

The problem with Rapid-Fire is that it will ALWAYS beat someone using the exact same gun without Rapid-Fire, so it's a "must have" attachment, imo. Unless it makes the weapon unusable, of course. As an example of "unusable" - out of all the weapons that come to mind AK-74 is the prime candidate to NOT run Rapid-Fire, because it benefits greatly from the CHF Barrel attachment, which also increases Recoil (and so does Rapid-Fire) and it becomes borderline uncontrollable (to actually hit headshots and reduce TTK) when combining both.
Lol you forgot the most important aspect: skill. Using the same gun with the exception of one having rapid fire has no effect if one person is just better. E.g: firing first, better aim, headshots

I’ve noticed that rapid fire doesn’t reduce range and velocity on the semi auto marksman rifles, so they basically don’t have a downside. Not sure about the other marksman rifles, or the semi auto ar, or snipers though. (Haven’t used them enough to unlock rapid fire yet)
Rapid Fire on the ASG shotty is a must, it hardly one shots at close range. and before you can a second shot of you are likely dead! also for the pistols, sadly the normal firerate cap is also abyssmal
Agreed. The RPM barely goes up on most of the guns in the game. I only use it on the AEK and SWAT. Sometimes I'll put it on the Tanto but I don't really feel a difference with that one
I'm going through each Assault to hit Mastery then Diamond. I was a little depressed that I had to use single shot on the GOBLIN. Because of the finger tapping. But statistically, I have the best precision on the single shot Goblin. I'm assuming as I level it and have the rapid fire, I expect it to decrease in precision due to recoil.
I’m a master with the goblin and I didn’t feel any difference between nato pressure fmj and rapid fire I shoot very fast and I’m guess the rapid fire allows it to shoot even more faster but I can only go so fast so don’t know the difference

i feel like the meta in this game is gunfighter because perks feel so moot in this game that its not worth having 1 extra perk when you're still able to get the perk bonus with three perks. if it required you to have FOUR of the same kind to get the bonus it could be different but using rapid fire barrel on most guns seems very worth it to me because you can offset recoil
Really depends on your preferred class setup. 8 attachments would be nice to have, but I personally won't give up Ninja + Ghost combo. I use both of those with Cold-Blooded in every single CoD and generally have better games with those perks equipped
Wont matter in the end when you get hit with 'packet burst' 'latency variation' the second you look at someone or get eomm'ed so hard the game just disables 75% of your shots

Aim assist primarily benefits controller players by upping their amount of bullets that connect. It sounds simple, but it increases their room for error, and decreases the ttk. On MNK, to match this, i have stuck to the fastest rpm guns because the more bullets you put out, the more room for error. Similar to aim assist. Thats why it feels like people dodge your tanto bullets on mnk

EVERY GUN wich is good playable with Rapit Fire and espaicaly with headshot Multiplicator... is Meta. I would say if the fire rate is fast enough without it or you’re not great at controlling recoil it’s not needed. Especially if you’re not using gunfighter.
dude didn't even finish watching the 4 MINUTE video and still drew conclusions I'll save you the brainpower. Basically, use rapid fire for any weapon, except those that already shoot fast enough.

And that's why some guns don't require it. The increase to rpm isn't high enough to justify the recoil increase and losing an attachment slot that you could otherwise use to make your gun more accurate

Recoil springs is better on Tsarkov 7.62 if you're actually aiming for the head and not going for double tap bodies the whole time.

I would note that the pistols visual recoil becomes almost impossible to use with rapid fire especially on Mnk
I'll do more testing against players but I didn't think that would be a big issue with pistols being close range weapons 🐧

SAUG with gunfighter and rapid fire is so broken. Hitting multiple 10 streaks in my usual lobbies.
What you haven't considered is that LMG's have a Open bolt delay, im pretty sure rapid fire Reduces this delay before you fire.
