Nobody is saying that trans people “don’t exist”. We’re saying that you cannot change your sex, and you cannot force us to support your delusions.
They really don't exist. Nobody has ever transitioned, and nobody ever will. There are men and women, and some of those people have a mental illness (GID).
Then what are "trans" people? A "gender identity" is not some objectively provable thing. People with gender dysphoria exist, and that's the term to use. They are people beyond their dysphoria, so stating it not as their "identifying characteristic" but as a one thing of many about them seems better.

Trans isn't the same as being gay. Gay is about sexuality, Trans is about identity, a confliction of identity to be precise. For a gay man to live a life true to his nature he has to do nothing but simply go about his life forming relationships inline with his preference. A Trans man has to upend his life, not because of the society, but because of his own internalised conflict which in turn brings with it other mental maladies. Many Trans men and Women feel compelled to remove and alter perfectly healthy bodily organs in order to be their 'true self'. Gay men and women do not. Trans is not the same as gay, and to try and form parallels between the two is way too simplistic, naive, disingenuous and just plain wrong.

There's a big difference between being trans and gay. One is a mental illness or a fetish (or both), the other is an immutable characteristic. We also need to start to differentiate between autogynephiles and people with gender dysphoria.

We should be in encouraging that as far as I’m concerned. We should be saying it’s fine to be gender non conforming. I’m very concerned about the way statistics will be rendered virtually useless if a male can “claim” to be a woman. If he commits a violent &/or sexual offence (often upon a woman), then says “But I am a lady”😉, the crime is then said to have been perpetrated by a woman! In courtrooms there’s been an insistence on referring to “her penis”, using “preferred pronouns” etc & a complete surrender to this ideology that trans women are women. It’s very interesting that many of the “issues” causing such unrest involve biological men wanting access to female spaces, sport etc. There’s not as much coming from trans men (biologically female but living as men), they’re not demanding entry to men’s sports as a rule or pushing into male spaces. Most men don’t regard them as a possible threat - unlike the reverse. I’m in no way trying to imply that all transgender women are predators. Most simply want to live their lives without harassment, but the very vocal & at times violent subset of trans people are doing their cause untold damage. They refuse to accept the fact that some men will use any means available in order to access women’s spaces. Any pushback they say is transphobic & then phrases like “denying my existence” or “trans genocide” get thrown about. This is a subject that needs a lot more research & discussion but there are some who have no interest in talking - like in NZ on Sat. “Let Women Speak”

As a lesbian I can't say I appreciate my right to love who I want being compared with trans rights especially of this type. These are very different issues but unfortunately get bundled together all the time. Do we have to agree with anything people say now in order to respect them? Aside from being ridiculous it's not even possible as we all have different opinions so why shouldn't we draw the line in these situations? Surely we should draw the line using science and biological facts when it comes to things like this since we can't just bend over for everyone's beliefs.

The case of “trans” identity has nothing whatsoever to do with homosexuality nor is the pushback at all comparable to the path to acceptance homosexuality has gone through in society.
One is a fact of same-sex attraction, the rights they fought for were the rights to not be persecuted for displaying their same-sex attraction in public essentially, the other, the "trans" side, specifically the males who call themselves "trans women" though they are not women in any shape or form, is a subjective metaphysical claim based on sexist stereotypes and what they demand is access to spaces and rights reserved for the opposite sex of what they are, encroaching on the sex-based rights of females - The two are NOTHING alike. The "trans" side expects people to cater to the male ego and feelings in validating a delusional belief that is at odds with physical reality all the while trampling all over the sex-based rights of all females - this is NOTHING like gay rights.

You can't compare LGB sexual orientations to transgenderism.
LGB were fighting to be free of discrimination and equal marital rights. The point of conflict with Transgenderism isn't around the right to be free of discrimination or equal marital rights.
The conflict is around:
> Re-defining language (laymen and medical language),
> Impacts that changing definitions has on particularly women's sports, where soon biological women won't have a place in the Olympics,
> Introducing and forcing use of specific language (gender swapping, 100+ new pronouns, etc),
> Allowing children to somehow consent to make permanent physical changes (medical or surgical),
> Acceptance of mob justice and acts of violence if you have different beliefs by transgender activists,
> Impacts that changing definitions has by forcing biological-sexes to mix in sex-designated private spaces (changing rooms & bathrooms) based on their perception of themselves,
> etc, etc, etc.

Good Lord, I cant believe this is what we are debating these days...
In which Michael Walker is so afraid of being cancelled by his trans friends that he talks utter gibberish. Being called a straight man or gay man is not the same thing - it leaves the category of man intact, uncontested & unchanged. Calling a woman cis though is making her part of a subset of her own sex - this matters in practise, in law, in safeguarding.
Logically it's not possible to know that you were born in the "wrong body" because it requires you to know for certain that another body would be the "right body". You might feel uncomfortable in your body but that doesn't mean that it's the "wrong body". The concept of cis woman (A woman who "feels like a woman") and trans woman (A man who "feels like a woman") are flawed. There's no evidence that there's a common feeling that women experience because nobody has the ability to compare their feelings with someone else.
