I was brought up middle-class and gave up Uni to be 'working class' which I have never regretted.
Never done anything special, never had any great ambition but had a great life, been well off, been poor, been around the world.
These two are the sort of people I have spent my life with, people who don't moan or whinge, people who just get on with it.
A dying breed in the West, these days.
Same as me I had private education my family quite well off ,I became myself working class no regrets met some great people ,yes also been very poor sometimes in my younger days working in construction just having a packet of biscuits to get me through the day while hod carrying,the great thing now is I can muddle through most things I'm sixty one now

That's what we used to call it back in the 70s when we skipped school, twagging it! We didn't get to hear her response to what that guy in the corner said about male and female. Agree about being working class people have a fire for aspiration which drives a strong work ethic. Another value of working class people is be polite have manners and know how to treat other people no matter who they are. I have worked with a lot of middle class people who can be rude don't know how to conduct themselves and have little manners.

in the format of "chat shows" and the like..
I know a woman just like michele ...nice personality at heart with a great attitude who had by the sounds of it very similar circumstances with regards to upbringing /sociality. However shes not involved in popular media, tv etc and has not attained any level of material success and not many doors opened despite an immense proactive efforts...but then again my friend bless her cotton socks isnt what you'd call (and she'd be first to admit it lol) "aesthetically pleasing" ...so there you go. That wasnt spoke of here 😂...but i think theres an element of that as a contributory factor ? ...or just me then lol ? I think thats where its more difficult for women trying to attain a goal...if you're physically attractive , it plays a part in media presentation.
