Does anyone remember NHL2K? pretty much the 2K game is more solid than EA, back then in 1999 used to be a big fan of EA NHL, but not until the SeGa 2K sports game was more realistic. change my view of both hockey games last NHL 2K hockey i played was 2012.

i find it strange that this game gets so much hate, however i did buy i PS5 about 2 months ago. before that the last console i played on was a PS2 in 2004, i skipped past the ps3 & 4 so i'm sure you can imagine i've noticed a pretty big improvement in game quality, graphics etc

So, my question is which version of the game should I buy? If I get the Xbox Series X version, it occupies space on my Xbox HDD that isn't being used by anything else, because Xbox doesn't have anything..... If I get the PS4 version then the game is only $59.99 instead of $69.99. So, I'm paying $10 more for what, resolution? Nobody seems to be saying anything about the Dualsense. Do the haptics do anything? In the PS5 exclusive Astro game the haptics change the way you feel being on different surfaces and the adaptive triggers. So, does NHL 24 use any of that at all? Do you feel yourself gliding on the ice? Are poke checks subtle while getting smashed into the side boards has a bigger impact? When the glass shatters does the Dualsense replicate a bunch of tiny pieces falling on the ice? The Dualsense is supposed to give immersion, or are EA that lazy they neglected to put any of that in. Also, it seems like it's kind of there, but NHL 23 removed the pre-game show and you basically were just on the ice and everyone had glow sticks. Did they put that back in the game? I guess they replaced the dude with a woman because of "we can play too", it was a political statement and not a creative decision. I'm more curious of how the haptics work and if EA Sports even bothered at all. If they didn't, fricken Xbox parity. They're buddy buddy with Microsoft so Xbox would've begged them not to include anything that would've given PS5 any kind of advantage, but I'm curious and nobody has said anything on it or brought it up which leads me to believe EA did nothing.....
I have PS4 pro and the only sports game I have for it is NHL 17. Is it worth buying another hockey game or is 17 the best one ? I still am not getting a PS5 because I have games on the 4 pro like Wo Long, Nioh 2, GTA 5, RDR2, Doom, Doom Eternal, DMC 5, both God of wars, Uncharted, Atomic core 6, Titanfall 2 etc,.. The only thing PS5 has is Ronin and GTA6. What else is there to make it worth buying ? More shiny graphics is only a slight bonus. Sony needs to get some games after 4 years now.
No. I would recommend sticking with NHL17 unless you can get a deal on the game for like $10. You'll still be diappointed but at least you didnt pay much for it. I still play NHL17 excluse but with revamped ratings. A guy named "Mathematics" did a ratings revamp on operation sports where he stretched the ratings to make the stars stand out much more and the role players to like role guys. It definitely gives the game a much better separation. Also a great year for young guys coming up if you want to play through a full career. McDavid is in Year 2, Auston Matthews is a rookie, plus older guys like Crosby, OV are still studs and with years left to go.
If you're a very newcomer in recent NHL games? Yes. Otherwise, no lol. I am on NHL23 right now. But I may go back playing NHL21 because of some dumb down features they made in NHL23. And I will not ever purchase NHL24. Wow! Looks just like NHL23. Zero point of buying it whatsoever. P.S As a newcomer to recent NHL games yes. Worth the bucks for sure. Very entertaining and LOTS of features and immense modes! I will admit as much, sir. But that applies only for newcomers pre NHL15 at the very least.

Totally outdated graphics. EA has no competition, it doesn't care about improving the game. Because changing the game's level to more current graphics would cost a lot of investment in the franchise, as it has no competition, it just updates the cast and menus every year.

THE biggest problem with this game is displayed right here in this video. This game rewards terrible gameplay and low skilled players. There is NO WAY this guy won this game but somehow he comes up with a 3-0 win. This happens in online games CONSTANTLY. dont know how to cycle the puck? Or set up chances? Don’t worry. The goalies lack of ability to save the puck will make sure you come up with a W.
im glad you pointed that out. As I mentioned before covering the game, I don't play NHL. Haven't touched it for a long time. The CPU should have destroyed me with all the fumbles. But it seems the AI just either fumbles before scoring or lets my players AI tackle them automatically lol.

Absolutely nothing new in this NHL 24, I saw the difference from 20 to 22 but after 22 there is nothing new, just several new items for atmosphere and that is it. You should update the game only because fresh 24 came out 😁trash

What i hate about the game is the constant stops…. The passing needs better work too and the shots on goal.
