Hi Papa. (3:40pm it's 21c right now) we had torrential rain overnight and it has cooled off considerably over the past few days. Hopefully that trend will continue now into August. I wonder if there is a beaver manual on dam building. (i.e. how to build with reeds and mud, or mud and sticks) depending on the available stock of materials by the waterside. These beavers sure know how to stack and pack a mud based dam well. How is Mama and the Little Princess doing ??

Hi Ken, this one took a lot to take out. Has the farmers thought of using that amount of water for their crop's? if the beavers dam them, why not put a pipe on the bottom and drain them from there? Will this work? Or pump that water into water tanks thru out the fields, This will save the farmers money and keeps water in reserve.
so this has been a great video again.

I have never encountered a Montana beaver that could tell the difference between a manually destroyed dam and an excavator removing the dam.

what would happen if you inject air into the beaver dam ? like in this video ruclips.net/video/xN9T92Q2mXs/видео.html , not so big machines, but some air which perhaps opens holes for the water todo the rest ?
