      Thanks! Yeah I wanted to get a few videos out to see what youtube would do and it looks like the videos are doing about as good as any other. Worth a shot. Going to take a few days off editing. Silver Lake tomorrow with my Dad so that will be fun. Hope work is going to good and miss you guys.

    Clever trick on that antenna wire. My Suburban is that same 'pewter' color.
    Got to give it some love eventually but it's just my beater for right now. Planning for a 14 bolt swap now for when I blow up the G80.

    • @PostalRedneck
      @PostalRedneck  3 года назад +1

      Yeah the G80's are known to grenade. I almost did a 14 bolt swap on one of my dune trucks but after seeing how heavy they were and how much work it would be to install an older 14 bolt I changed my mind. I know the H2's have them but they are 8 lug and I cant run adapters as my truck just fits on my trailer width wise.

    • @bruceyyyyy
      @bruceyyyyy 3 года назад

      @@PostalRedneck I could be wrong but I thought the 14 bolts are drop in for us coil guys.
      They put SF 14 bolt 6 lug on Avalanche and Escalade after 07. Could be had with or without locker. With 3.73 or 4.10.

    You are just the man I need to ask a question. I took the wheel well partially off my passenger side 2005 Yukon and 2006 Silverado to clean out the leaves. A square plastic part fell out of both of then. It's black and about 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. I have no clue what it is or where it goes. I watched you take off your fender and spotted something that looked similar. Do you have any idea what it is?

    • @PostalRedneck
      @PostalRedneck  2 месяца назад

      Yes. I'm guessing it's kind of rubbery and there's weights in them? They are not necessary. It's kind of a one-way valve for the cowl to drain water and I'm guessing to not allow Critters to Nest under it.

      @was1069 Tom 1 bolt and nut for the hood hinge, 4 bolts for upper fender brace, 5 bolts for fire wall support, 2 bolts for the coolant tank, 5 bolts for the air cleaner bracket, 1 bolt upper radiator support, 1 bolt lower radiator support behind front bumper, 2 bolts in door jam and 1 bolt in the running boards. Other than that remove the air cleaner box and inner fender plastics. Not too bad of a job at all.

      @@PostalRedneck Just bought a clean '04, Z71 Suburban from S. Kansas that's been in Mich 4 yrs. I see it's very easy to remove grille, etc. and plan on removing fenders to clean crud out of inside before I keep rust away with oil spray. I noticed FM stations fade quickly so maybe that antenna needs replacing. Looks fine but maybe no good? Took tail lights out to find there's a way for dust and mist to collect at bottom of rear quarters. Thanks for the great vid and Love the music. Greetings from the farm near Battle Creek, Mi.

      @@TeamSchaeffer I dont plan on switching to the 2002+ center console as I personally dont like them. Yeah that yukon is going to get a LQ9 swap, Escalade front clip swap and a bunch of other stuff done to it. You should do the GMT900 3rd brake light swap. I kinda like how they look other than the small gap on the sides. Ill also be posting a video of the over head console swap from a pickup. I literally just got done installing it about an hour ago. Just need to edit the video.
