Thanks Jomo, the X9 was moving at around 10mph from memory and I had to be careful when flying backwards while filming because he kept catching me up😀. If you liked the X9 video try my Claas 8900 videos and you should enjoy those as well because both are brilliant combines and the T9 Massey Ferguson did well on the red hot day I filmed that. I have been off the farm for a long time. How do they handle the gap between the reels on these double reel headers? Do they just ignore it as it is centered on the feeder house?
@UCyHmXRUFCyRpXDE1P1FL6mQ While it may not be a true Drapper header, it is not an old style auger header either. IF you watch closely when they turn or show an edge view you can see the belt moving and that the thing that appears to be auger like is not rotating(stationary).

Unless I am misunderstanding, a Drapper header is essentially just an old windrower header with a little added assist to feed the feeder house.

For sure a none issue. Gap not too wide, and the draper's center belt feeds the feeder house, so the crop is moving straight back.

@@bradquinn4161 Yeah, some drapers also have an auger, but have never seen them not moving. Think they help to feed crops like rape seed.
