Thank you for making a guide for the normal version of this fight. I had a terrible time getting through this on my first try. Knowing what to do and how to do it helps. Thank you again
Am i missing something? There's normal and savage guide for pretty much all the content in ffxiv(past) are people getting attacked for wanting to see a normal fight and learn in advance? Is this a new mete thing? Wtf.
I'm coming to these videos super late but just wanna say thanks for making these. I'm going through delta/sigma/alphascape for the first time right now and watching these before each one is helping me keep up with everyone else and look like I know wtf I'm doing
Jesus having done Savage it's funny how the Savage version of this fight is literally the same but with harder hits, no telegraphs and the addition of the stone mechanics. The Savage version of this is a great first fight for people who've never tried Savage to get into it
might make sense for whm or diurnal ast if you're having survivability issues but the extra mind on noct ast or sch will give you bigger shields that you can just use on yourself so it's probably not worth it
I get that this stage is easy, I really do, but I don't get the salt over people wanting a guide to this stage. Players watch guides before they run raid stages because they get chewed out if they don't. It doesn't matter if it turns out to be easier than Shiva, we don't KNOW that going in, and WON'T go in until we do.
Elitism. There is a vocal minority who seem to want an MMO that's just for them and those they personally deem worthy of playing. They don't want the average player to have a guide or to even have content really. How such a game would be successful is beyond me, but clearly those types are smarter than even the devs themselves.
@@clintmatthews3500 Has more to do with the fact that literally every boss, and every fight is damn near the same. Avoid the massive telegraphed lines, and face roll keyboard. GG auto win. The only thing that makes this game difficult is stupid people, and lag. The problem is the "average player" is "below average intelligence" Those "minority" players are the minority intelligent people who can learn the fight in their first run and only get hit by the "Tricks" once and learn on the spot.. Which unfortunately seems to be extremely difficult for the "average" moron. Literally all these videos do is tell you "hey moron, avoid this big ass red line, oh yea, you see this big ass purple ring around you? Do what you've been doing in every other fucking fight that's had it" If someone was intelligent they wouldn't need yet another reminder, to do the same thing, with the same telegraphed move just with a different name.. Only reason I watch these videos myself, is to see if there are any untelegraphed moves I'd get hit with once before I learn on the spot and never get hit again. Which helps.
Eternally Angelic regardless if people need a guide for a boss fight then let them have it. I don’t think they should get shit on for it like most do to almost anyone who doesn’t play to their absolute liking. Some people like me watch the vids to any boss raid so that I make sure that I know every aspect of the boss fight it doesn’t make me an idiot just cautious of what I do not know. Also the average person has average intelligence that’s what’s makes them average.....
The only people salty about these guides are the Elitists that make this game unpleasant to play. These same people who call other people stupid are the same people who get angry in your FC chat for people not knowing what to do in a raid because it's never their fault. Like, do you want people to know specific mechanics and see the game grow or what?
"Bowels of Agony." Before hitting the Duty Finder for this raid, I'm watching this video on my phone from the toilet, so I'm not distracted from the fight when it happens. The name of this attack is pretty apropos for what I'm experiencing now. Sorry if that was TMI. Edit: Now that I've seen the entire video and know just how much to look out for, at risk of staying thematically consistent: ah shit...
Dang the Sault is real. Darned if we watch a guide. Darned if we don't. It's true yes we should be used to AOES at this point and likely are but if you're going into a fight blind you get chewed out. These guides prepare you for the order of which is going to occur. It makes possitioning so much easier and I'm sorry if that seems "inferior" to some but to someone like me who doesn't have many people to rely on I often go in raids alone and all my experiences of been unpleasant because I "didn't watch the guide" like... it's a game. I'm sorry if that offends anyone but there's pros and cons to everything and games are meant to be challenging. I only watch the guides because I'm tired of receiving shit for not knowing what order things go in. "Following everyone else" does nothing especially if you lag. Anyways thanks for the guide as always it makes those of us who don't spend 24 hours everyday online
Hi there, i have problem with knock down, i die two time by it, first time me and one another die, and second time four of us die by it. Am i miss something about it? Sorry for poor grammar.
It's pretty simple, all of his attacks you can react to pretty safely without really learning them in advance and damage spikes aren't particularly crazy.
That scholar was horrible. Should’ve been way easier on the WHM, but the scholar didn’t shield through anything. All the scholar did was spam Broil 2 and Energy Drain.
I always die at the fiendish orbs part because these dumb ass tanks don't take the tethers. Then when I die they all say "don't stand in the way of the tether". Lol what am I suppose to do if they don't take it?
Someone never played the original Final Fantasy on NES or the remakes on PSX/PSP. His design here is almost identical to his original concept art from the late '80s.
14s raid design is absolutely killing WOW. At first the 14 devs said they studied a lot of WOW design but now I think it's time Blizzard took a step back and tightened their shit up.
4 bosses per raid tier is laughable. WoW raids have 7-14 bosses per tier. You should try mythic G'huun if you think ffxiv bosses are designed better than wow bosses
Quality over quantity I say. And besides, WoW players ain't exactly the happiest campers right now, eh? I kinda like that there aren't a ton of raid bosses. Gives me time to not obsessively play or do one thing all the time. I appreciate the midcore focus, makes for happier and healthier gamers in the grand scheme of things.
Daktyl Of course we can wish for more but it's what we get for now. I don't know in terms of overall difficulty as there's also Ultimate so... Both have hard encounters /shrug.
Seriously, quantity isn't something to be proud of with WoW anymore - the designs just aren't improving by any appreciable scale. I would rather have a dense fight than a bunch of split-up ones.
As someone's who's done both uldir and alphascape you can't really compare them and you shouldn't... The ff14 ones are much more accessible, movement orientated and forgiving. The WoW ones alongside being much harder for the average player to access, are more "difficult" which comes from the need to coordinate and work together, they're also very unforgiving with the limits of combat ress and the frequency at which you can kill not only yourself but your raid members. They're not designed for the same types of player.
BoyWithTheChoppa well yeah I know this it’s just mch is terrible way too needy for a class especially when it requires you to play it at 100% no fuck ups
