Your guides are my defaults when encountering new content as I try to sprout. Thanks for keeping them so information dense and short, I appreciate the time savings while still getting all the information
Just healed this. What a nightmare. DPS just kept getting hit/dying left right and centre, was constantly out of MP. The last boss was a disaster too. Be prepared for either a smooth run or a disaster if you're new to healing. Be patient with yourself and watch where you step in this place because hooooly lol.
I'm glad to hear I was not the only dos dying so much haha I just played this for the first time and rage quit the group because I got frustrated , I couldn't dodge AOE haha
HOLY JESUS. I just came here after already doing it to see if I was bad or if this was just a hard fight lol. That fight was the most intense fight so far by a large margin
Thank you so much for making these. I'm a new player working my way to 80 and you have mastered the balance of giving just enough information without over-explaining while keeping the video fun. I've still got a ways to go and I hope you never stopped with the puns!
I was really hoping for some insight into how to tell where the Mist Dragon's divebombs are going to be. When I went through it, some players (different each time) might be able to see it coming, but the rest would only have a split second's worth of ground tell before getting "punished" for, as far as we could tell, not being psychic.
Same. I can never find the dragon, and the aoe marker gives you only time to take a single step before getting iced. If SE meant for that one player to give a call out to the rest of the pt, that's a horrible way to build a mechanic, especially for PUGs.
I just tried to run with with an all blu team. And we kept getting half-wiped for the dive bombs. And you know BLU rez is only once every 300 seconds and not everyone has it. It was soooo frustrating.
thx for the guide. 1st time in this instance at lv72, with max lvl pug players, failed miserably in phase 1 after 10 fail attempts (only pushed to phase 2 twice), ppl left, each fail attempt had some flaw and messed it up, feels like theres only 1 sec to react not to be freezed or maybe it is a latency thing, if trying to dodge the slam from the center, wont have enough time to move out of the lane; 2nd time went in with fresh lv70 players with lv66-70ish weapons, failed the first attempt and get a hang of the mechanic I explained before the last boss fight, cleared it in the 2nd attempt. that was epic. Healers ,plz remove the debuff asap , free any freezed team member and move out of the icy breath/puddle, may the RNG god is on your side in phase 2 and it will be a breeze.
Just did this dungeon for the first time last night. The Mist Dragon turned out to be surprisingly challenging, we wiped a few times before we managed to clear it
Went in blind on the final boss, we got melted over and over and I died within the first frost breath thing as a tank. It was rough. Definitely the hardest boss I've faced since playing the game. I moved out of the breath but ended up still instantly dying and the dps died a few times too. Thankfully our healer was amazing and saved us and were able to finish it in the first try but my god, what a tough boss.
It's the summer of 2021 and this game has blown UP. I've been no-lifing this game for the past month and LOVE when I find your video guides because it's clear and you label the important info on-screen. Thank you so much for your guides!
Your guides are not boring quite the contrary where other people make guides that drivel on for 30 mins your are accurate concise enjoyable and tell us what we need to know in 3-5 mins please keep them coming in the new expansion.
thanks for these, as a new player (one month in) your guides are the cleanest and most pleasant ones to watch! I think Ive only found 1 or the odd dungeon you hadn't covered and then I was legitimately sad having to deal with lesser guides haha. Appreciate the puns too. Keep it up
THANK YOU! These guides are so well done, concise, quick, yet never missing a single key point of information! I am a solo player on most things, and playing with others still gives me some anxiety, so knowing what to expect helps A LOT so I don't piss off the people I'm playing with xD
I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but it seems like the best way to dodge deep fog is run around the edge of the platform! you can only see the telegraph if youre near the dragon. That's a pretty rough one honestly, especially for an MSQ dungeon.
spent 30 min soloing it cuz crickets for queue. gave up on the defective boss. This guide *chef kiss* is the reason i survived that far. Will try queuing again later
The upload timing on this is impeccable. I was going to run it last night, but was too tired, and 3 hours before I'm finally ready to do it... yay, guide!
As a tank that breath is BRUTAL! As PLD I had to pop hollowed ground on the first breath due to the immense damage. I'm glad to hear it's a debuff that can be dispelled (well once out of the puddle)
my healer kept standing in the cold circles in the last boss fight and wouldnt move from them and kept dying, thankfully we had a dps who could res them but god it made the last bossfight so much harder, even after asking them politely to move from them they just stood still.
Those falling rock AOEs before the first boss will also do damage to mobs, so if you so desire, you can group them up into the AOE to speed up the kills.
If the tank can't remember and the healer doesn't know To dispel frostbite, this can be really difficult to finish. If you keep wiping it's worth chilling for a moment to politely explain this.
DPS here.. So glad I'm not the only one frustrated by this dungeon. Our initial tank quit on us and we had to get a mentor to help us out. Guided us through the aoe phases and with a little perseverance we were able to clear this.
At 2:19 mizteq also gets hit even though shes in the safe zone. That really fucks me off when it does that, like what, is my ping 500ms or something? 🤨
Ok, so currently leveling my first character and that dragon encounter was so far the hardest up to this point in msq. We wiped 3 times. But finally some challenge, It was fun.
Extra note about the dragon: the frost breath on the tank seems to create not only one, but several ice puddles if there's enough space behind the tank (making them in a cone). So best stick to a wall. (Only seen it happen once, so I may be mistaken. Stuck to the wall afterwards. -_-)
It does and it appears to be every other one cast on the mt. The mt will get the same line frost breath that the rest of the party can get. The line one doesn't hurt as much as the cone I'll noticed.
Those dragon AOEs looked pretty normal in the video. For some reason in the game it felt like a split second and boom, helaer shitting himself to keep me alive. I consider myself pretty ok with AOEs, but wow, that was surprising.
First I feel bad it's taken me this long to subscribe, made new accounts often (look up random stuff and account would become overwhelmed with the stuff) but never subscribed. Second, always watch your stuff before a dungeon or raid and love the content. Keep it up 😁
Ok I don't know WTF is up with that mist dragon fight but those AOEs during deep fog have ZERO time to react to, we only survived when we did the sensible thing and split up so at least a couple of us would be unfrozen to save the others lmao
I did have one question, during Deep Fog is there a way to tell where the Dargon will attack from with that breath attack? I can't seem to find an accurate way to tell so I was wondering...?
First dungeon in a long time that I ran blind before the video since you focused on the raid stuff first. =D Either way, it was pretty simple. The 1st boss was ridiculously easy. The only thing I didn't like as a WHM were the monsters that kept poisoning the tank. It's one thing for them to pull big, but if you need to use Esuna while healing it could get messy.. especially if they stand in the bad too. Either way, I watched the video because why not? Thanks.
Just finished the MSQ last week and I have to say "The Burn" is probably my favourite dungeon. Great look and aesthetics (god the scenery is amazing), wonderful music and very fun last boss.
I ran this as a BLM and my brother as AST, the other two members of out party didn’t communicate at all when we asked for tips in the chat, we pushed through to the Mist Dragon with only 2 party member deaths up to that point, then wiped twice on Mist Dragon. I was active in the chat like “I think he follows up the aoe with his frost breath every time” etc meanwhile the others wouldn’t free my brother when he’d get targeted by the freeze attack (he was the healer!!) and the tank kept spinning the boss, making the frost breath unpredictable. Then they voted to dismiss my brother and I didn’t get the option to veto, the tank claimed “he wasn’t healing and he sabotaged us” and I’m like?? he wasn’t healing because he was frozen and I was the only one charging across the arena to free him. Queued again with me as WHM and my brother as a PAL and we aced it no problem. It really comes down to knowing your role-and also not being a dick.
Kinda what I went thru last night. Tank kept spinning the boss as well so party was constantly getting frozen. After the first wipe I said you need to break the person out of the ice. One guys like 'that's true' .. like really! Then the dam tank did it again! no one but the 'that's true' guy said anything in chat. Clearly we were all new to the dungeon but ppl not talking or not picking up on the mechanics as we went along was just too painful. I had to leave run and game I was so disgusted lolol (it was late at night and I did have to get off) ;)
@@noneofyourbiz39 Did we queue with the same people 😂 the spinning is wild, how does anyone get that far into the game and spins bosses? but yeah it’s usually a warning flag if no one says hello back in the chat when the duty starts, not even a “o/“
@@BlackXSunlight I got super lucky last night with the dungeon. 1 person hadn’t been in it before so we told them the mechanics of each boss. Our tank bailed right after they said that but then their replacement was a vet and we blew thru that run like it was nothing 😁
I had a shit group last night first running this. A bard that wasn't playing songs and a mch that stood in everything, also I wasn't getting dispelled. 9 wipes! I left, requed and took it down immediately with a whm, drg and blm. The right group means everything. This boss is a major dps and gear check.
You don't need to dodge Deep Fog. Just stand in the cardinal corners. Unless all of my runs have just been lucky, I have only seen Mist Dragon divebomb in N/S or E/W directions.
A friend of mine said the AOE is showed to you when you're nexte to the dragon when he is on the edge. Don't know how much of this is true, it never happened to me...
It can definitely charge from all 8 (N, NE, etc) directions. I also thought it was N/S or E/W only and tried waiting in SE one run. First dive was a miss(N/S), second hit directly in the face. Can also confirm that you can see the telegraph early if youre close to the dragon - you can actually see it in the video above at 4:37 where she moves into range and it appears.
The intros are fine. Typically, I wish the whole video would go like the intro. Usually, the intro sounds great, and then when the guide starts, it goes into hyperspeed. As it is, I have to listen to these at 75% speed, and it still doesn't get past the fact that the editing makes it sound like one giant paragraph with no periods - I still have to rewind to the end of sentences to absorb them and not confuse them with the following sentence that is often closer to the preceding one than the words within sentences themselves are. I don't understand why they're edited to be on top of each other that way. It actually happens in the intro of this video, which isn't usual. In literally the same second (that second being 0:17), one sentence ends and the next one is beginning. There is a reason we use punctuation in writing, and while we can't see it, we typically employ a version of it in spoken word as well. I'm sorry if I come off as a jerk at all, and I really do appreciate all the work that goes into these videos. The contents of them are great, and I love the text overlays with instructions and checklists and such. It just gets really frustrating sometimes to keep repeating the same sections over and over just to make sense out of one or two sentences. I can appreciate the goal of condensing a video to make it brief, but is that degree of brevity really practical if each sentence needs to be repeatedly combed over, or if one needs to watch it in slower speed to make heads or tails of it, ultimately taking 7-10 minutes to watch a 5-minute-long video? It reminds me of these DPS that are so impatient that they race the tanks to the next mob and get aggro. Like, that speedrun mentality might make a run that would otherwise take 11 minutes go by in 10 minutes and 30 seconds, but not only is that time-saving negligible even when we build it up over numerous instances (you'd have to frantically move through dungeons that way 22 times in this hypo in order to have saved yourself one run's worth of time), but it also represents a much bigger time sink for the potential pitfalls that come with it. Everything would be a lot more smooth, pleasant an orderly if the group takes the 11 mins, rather than trying to shave off 30 seconds and ultimately costing 2-3 extra mins when the impatient DPS causes the group to wipe.
holy shit i just did this dungeon, as a healer. WHAT THE FUCK. The tank had to help me heal and ress through all that shit, we had a BLM in our DPS the worst for this fight :( he died like 20 times Q.Q I'm never ever going in again in there as healer, unless it's an FC party.
This mist dragon boss made me break and I rage turned off the computer 🤬🤣 I need a guide I hope once I calm down I can dodge all AOE and kill the dragon with no more wipes

`Can you see the dragon on the mini-map? That trick can sometimes give you earlier warning than a ground effect.
Run quickly in a small circle about half way between edge and center. You should see telegraph and have a chance to get out
Didn't work for me. All these tips are useless. It just comes down to luck. Unlucky rng = wipe. After 5 wipes we got good rng and won.

Everything would be a lot more smooth, pleasant an orderly if the group takes the 11 mins, rather than trying to shave off 30 seconds and ultimately costing 2-3 extra mins when the impatient DPS causes the group to wipe.
is it me or did your volume suddenly get a lot quieter for some of these dungeons? strange.
holy shit i just did this dungeon, as a healer. WHAT THE FUCK.
The tank had to help me heal and ress through all that shit, we had a BLM in our DPS the worst for this fight :( he died like 20 times Q.Q
I'm never ever going in again in there as healer, unless it's an FC party.
No offense to the tank... but if a blm can pull aggro from him/her then that person needs to do their job better.
what sword and shield is she using here looks super cool
Actually I really like the intros please dont omit them out
Mizzteq you need to always be our dungeon guide ^^
Last boss can be stupid hard to heal through. Sometimes he'll spam aoe 2 even 3 times in a row. Be ready.
Cool down on Frost Breath? Silly you
You kidding? Your puns are the best! Also... Man I hated that dragon!
Does anyone know what's that white cape she's wearing ?
This mist dragon boss made me break and I rage turned off the computer 🤬🤣
I need a guide I hope once I calm down I can dodge all AOE and kill the dragon with no more wipes
The puns always make me want to rate the video down, but the content always makes me want to rate it up.
Lol always with the puns!
When I see a 5 minute guide I say shit...this gonna suck
exactlyyy. any time theyre over like 3 1/2 mins I'm like "goddammit" LMAO
Anyone know what sword and shield Miz is using here? I want it. T.T
a redditer figured out that the falling rocks at the beginning could also hurt the mobs
No one is gonna see this, but does anyone know what chest piece she has on?
