after 8 years? WHAT
@@Krenox I'm a lazy boy
🥱
The awesomeness before Daft Punk's Homework.
+Jure Verč i think this was after homework but before discovery
DopeZebra Trax on Da Rocks came out in 1995. Homework 1996. According to Discogs.
Only the single Da Funk could possibly be released before that in 1995.
Jure Verč oh
A lot of the tracks on homework were released years before 96, i had Alive in 94 da funk and rollin n scratchin were 95. Daft Punk were huge in the underground when this was released
Yup, Jake C is right, some Homework tracks were out long before the album.
Da Funk got a re-released a few times pre-homework
i love the simplicity of this music. even though music nowadays is so overproduced and so much work goes into it, i find that this old raw shit is what really makes me groove. probably because the rawness gives it its personality and it's not polished into a bland piece of music. also the fact that this entire album could be written now with a simple sampler sequencer like the volca sample is awesome!
+fayekhelmi I think just like you, I notice and even read about this bro's musical style, alone and with Homen Cristo, It is reiterative in melody, it can be appreciated in Homework, ALL IS SO REITERATIVE, but if you focus enough you can hear that the sound isn´t the same from begining to end. I hear ''Alive'' again and again and I really want to get the infrastructure to get all detailed of how can you make a song that seems sound same all time, be different ever. Also ''Out run'' have the same concept half the song until Bangalter starts to play with the ''buble blasting'' scratch at the second half.

Still A lot of great house music out there these days
Things underground have started getting better. Yea not into that tech house sound though. Such a specfic style but it's not even that nice
funk. sound. beat. life.
On da rocks makes me feel like i have unlocked all the achievements in my life
good bye guys we always love you
Or more time to release stuff like this.
This is literally only one of them and he’s the one who is still actively producing, wtf you smoking? Can I get some?
@@cardioandfriends Can i get a refill pls?
@@cardioandfriends rip Guy-Man. He never got his garlic bread
This album was my anthem during early quarantine! Memories were made
Outrun + Ventura = best club memories of otherwise long forgotten (good) times. Thx for these Mr. Bangalter.
so true !
The first one is timeless 👌🏻
All of them are timeless
The bass line is just amazing in the first one. 👌
I think u don’t capt the French touch
Goosebumps!
club soda slaps but i thought it was from this album
this will never get old
Oh this really scratches an itch for that funk/disco/freestyle/house/electro type of music that was really popular from the late 80s to the early 00s.
I played a lot of parties since the late 90's, still do. When I want to turn shit up I play "Outrun". Have you ever heard that bass hit on a proper system!?!
My god! Thomas is a genius!
Venture is my favorite song on this. Always gets me pumped!
AQGOAT24
Definitely the best track on this vinyl.

I wish I had another copy. I wore this thing out in the mid 90's. You can get a copy at discogs.com if you're interested.
I gots...sorry
I got a copy on discogs. has a good few scratches but i still love it all the same
thomas...if you are reading this... YOU ARE A FUCKING GENIUS
SO FUNKY!
Such a masterpiece almost 30 years after !
Jesus mother of christ where has this music been! Love this groove
Whoa. This album makes me feel a little bit more... _alive_
If this is what’s gonna happen later....might as well prepare!
Still banging in 2020!!!
Bought this vinyl in 1998, seems like nothings changed, what the time is going on !
Roule Boule = 8-bit siezure
I play that shit at 3 in the morning if i'm still awake by then. Whole Daft ritual, even though it was produced by JUST Thomas
Tears. Str8 joy. First vinyl I ever bought
Midnight Club II memories
Ventura... my god 6 minutes of pure sweetness!
Sure wish I could go to a rave RN.
Rockn Roll Rolling and Scratching👍😎
Outrun! Midnight Club 2! Oohh the memories :')
That last song is definitely the purkulator chopped up, so awesome hearing these little things
Genuinely believe his solo stuff from this era is better than Daft Punk. I know that's an unpopular opinion, and it's no diss on his Daft Punk work.
Quality! your solo stuff is just as good as the punks!!
"Can I get a refill please?"
And that's how it all started.
broo!!! if you here its because you know.
time machine brought me here
yup this is it. the essential
Alright, you're in, go ahead.
Una joya de Álbum
Sounds smooth
I wonder how many fans Daft Punk would lose overnight if they released something like "Roulé Boulé" today.
Down10 They don't care, they just do what they want. But unfortunately I don't think they want to make raw stuff right now, maybe I'm wrong
Likely none.
I guess most of them would never have heard of most of the artists in the track 'Teachers' either, their shoutout.
I will love to see it come out today but in a way some hip hop artists might used this sample and turn it around
Thomas BANG ALTER.
This is just flame absolute 🔥
incredible
Yeah! I have this one!
This shit is fire❤️🔥
Only real daft Punk fans listen this
Je pense que la voix dans « What to do » est celle de Thomas ...👂🏻
Oui
Thanks.

Fuck him^ I thought your comment was amusing

+Zain Siddiqui I'm dead then. I've rised from the dead once anyways.
The first track somehow reminds me of:

Se siente genial encontrar fans latinos de Daft punk, y que más encima sean de tu país. Saludos hermano.
Haha, The Brainwasher is Outrun!
Deus I can also hear a bit of Phoenix. :)
This tune on a big system breaks people. Like a bread stick
Dave Clarke playing Outrun in the Arches, Glasgow, 1997 (I think?!).

"Bangalter's solo works were released on two vinyl-only EPs titled Trax on da Rocks in 1995 and 1998 respectively" quote from wikipedia, this means there's a Trax on da Rocks II?
Yes, and on this same channel
Great album.
Correction- Trax on da Rocks VOLUME 2. That eq work on Ventura never gets old. When Carl Craig did Throw, somebody paid attention!
Get down...YA!!

Where did you get it?!
jimoshea08 It's on ebay right now and I'm pissed because I don't have enough money to buy it. I'm like 40 cents off.
I've had this since 1996. Purchased at my local record store back when those were still a common thing. You can buy this at discogs.com for pretty cheap.

what?? which one
Ya which one?
Which one???
jmets le pied là où je veux et c'est souvent dans la gueule avec on da rock en bande son
outrun and ventura are banging! anyone know where i can buy or download music similiar to this? Is it french house or is it purely thomas bangalter own style?
Discogs.
It's kind of Thomas Bangalters reinterpretation of 90s "Jacking"/Chicago House. Relief is a Label that released similar music.
Uploaded in lossless quality ? What a joke... It's certainly not your fault but RUclips does not allow more than 254 kbps, or even 190 maybe... So the 360 kbps mp3 files are of better quality than ANYTHING you can find on RUclips, whether it has this fake 720p/1080p or not.
Favorite tracks: Venture, On Da Rocks, Outrun.
Nameless ! Thank you, i should be more specific : from lossless audio (FLAC) to WMV.
***** Talk about yours, 'cause I can hear the difference between a flac high bitrate sound and a 190 kbps, and very clearly... It's harder though between flac & 320 kbps mp3.
An aside for comment perusers: RUclips supports stereo AAC bitrates of up to 384kbps, while lossless to windows movie maker (what i am assuming he created the wmv in) produces an AAC of 192kpbs, which is subsequently transcoded into RUclips's AAC upon upload. Both are perfectly listenable to people with average audio setups. If you really care, RUclips supports uploads with PCM audio, meaning they perform the only transcode and that it should potentially be of the highest quality. If you don't have editing software that supports this try using mkvmerge to replace an upload's audio with a WAV file. Cheers!
This shit sounds stepped on even on vinyl. On purpose. It’s crunchy
What subgenre of electronic music is that? Love it
French house
HI EVERYBODY
Maybe if you flip rocks on 45 so I can dance to it
Fucking fucking fuck this is good
The time when a dj was mixing and not the computer...
Computers don't automatically mix, all of the work is still done by the artist and not the computer, using a DAW does require talent, what
@@quadpad_music OK.
my knowledge about the life'n stuff brought me here and you are too young for this kinda music, sir.
i love vol 2 more but both good

If I gave you my email, could you hook me up with this album? I'd appreciate it.
ive been a daft punk fan all my life and they are my inspiration to my life. But Roulé Boulé sounds like a goat simulator song. Before any fans hate, i promise i know more about daft punk than any of you.
You're a poo nana ;*
you are a piece of shit
have you heared about Mr.oizo ? French musician and really good friend with daft punk kavinsky sebastian etc etc. iT sound's kinda like that. But Oizo is cool, well some of his work is really nice. And so, nobody likes the same kind of things in life
'' i promise i know more about daft punk than any of you'' no u don't
