After seeing all three videos on Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao, I have realized that they show NOT ONLY how celebratory, courageous and creative Filipinos are BUT ALSO the fact that she has actually not left the Philippines behind in her journey. In every small step of hers, we are always part of it, making us all touched, thankful and teary-eyed. I am not a die hard fan of Bb Pilipinas or MU because I only see typical beauty queens (yes the big amount of effort is there and I appreciate that bec it is not easy to compete in MU) but Catriona is really different. I see her as someone who is not only competing for the crown but she is using this opportunity to showcase what the Philippines has to offer! No one, I guess, in the history of Bb Pilipinas was a candidate for MU tried to do this. She even decided to be an independent candidate because she wants to express herself freely, and look what it got her - the love of so many Filipinos. She also used this platform to make her organization which helps kids with no access to good education known to the bigger audience. Beauty and brain can surely be found in all MU contestants, that's why they won on their respective country's competition, right? But with this girl, her heart is so big and her authenticity is so amazing. To Catriona, I dont want to say that you'll surely get the crown because at the end of the day, this is a competition. My family moved to Canada from Manila when I was four years old. Although I watched TFC and GMA with them whenever I was at home, ate filipino dishes, and spoke in tagalog, I never really learned anything about the filipino history and culture aside from that. Catriona, if you're reading this, I along with other filipinos who didn't learn much about our heritage, thank you so much for educating us and uncovering our roots. Seeing and learning about our history, culture, beliefs, etc. makes us so proud to be filipino. You are bringing filipinos all across the world together! We appreciate and love you so much!

The negative news about Mindanao is just sensationalized by the media. Living in Mindanao for 30 years, I could proudly day that just like any other places in our country, there will always be stories that are horrifying, but mostly are beautiful stories unheard of. People have to understand that Mindanao is also a big land composing different provinces. If one area is under threat as how the news presents it, it does not mean that the other places are unsafe to visit. In my experience, generally, Mindanao is a much safer place. Conflicts only occur/arise if cultural minorities are being disturbed from their peace. I’m proud Cat finally showed this beautiful culture of ours. Just like what you said, I feel proud to be a Mindanaoan.

I'm not lying but... my Mom saw her house in this video and cried since her mom died and was buried. Where she was buried was in this video, I asked her, why are you crying? She replied I saw my home one last time, I didn't know it still survived. And I was shook af. (Skl lmao) 0:06 is where my grandma got buried, in the left corner. If you can see the small hut in the left corner near it ( at the right of the hut ) that's where she got buried. At the opposite side of 0:06 that her house. I’m proud to say that I came from Mindanao but currently live in NY. I’ve been there in Seven falls, T’boli, South Cotabato, twice and it was amazing experience. Honestly, I can’t stop crying, emotionally occupied and u really broke my heart into pieces Miss Cat. The exposure of what Mindanao really needs, culture and heritage wise, that was being passed on until this day. I was born and raised in Mindanao during my childhood days till I move abroad. What raises my eyebrows is when people makes assumptions that Mindanao is at constant war or the abu sayyaf affiliations which is not the case at all. You can see in the video the smiles on peoples faces and even the celebration that took place. We need to educate people that life is not just what you have currently and what you’re seeing right now but rather explore whats beyond and respect what you see and learn from it. This is my message to the world, the you universe rather and I thank you🤪 Go Catriona!! I am not a die hard fan of Bb Pilipinas or MU because I only see typical beauty queens (yes the big amount of effort is there and I appreciate that bec it is not easy to compete in MU) but Catriona is really different. I see her as someone who is not only competing for the crown but she is using this opportunity to showcase what the Philippines has to offer! No one, I guess, in the history of Bb Pilipinas was a candidate for MU tried to do this. She even decided to be an independent candidate because she wants to express herself freely, and look what it got her - the love of so many Filipinos. She also used this platform to make her organization which helps kids with no access to good education known to the bigger audience. Beauty and brain can surely be found in all MU contestants, that's why they won on their respective country's competition, right? But with this girl, her heart is so big and her authenticity is so amazing. To Catriona, I dont want to say that you'll surely get the crown because at the end of the day, this is a competition. My family moved to Canada from Manila when I was four years old. Although I watched TFC and GMA with them whenever I was at home, ate filipino dishes, and spoke in tagalog, I never really learned anything about the filipino history and culture aside from that. Catriona, if you're reading this, I along with other filipinos who didn't learn much about our heritage, thank you so much for educating us and uncovering our roots. Seeing and learning about our history, culture, beliefs, etc. makes us so proud to be filipino. You are bringing filipinos all across the world together! We appreciate and love you so much!

The negative news about Mindanao is just sensationalized by the media. Living in Mindanao for 30 years, I could proudly day that just like any other places in our country, there will always be stories that are horrifying, but mostly are beautiful stories unheard of. People have to understand that Mindanao is also a big land composing different provinces. If one area is under threat as how the news presents it, it does not mean that the other places are unsafe to visit. In my experience, generally, Mindanao is a much safer place. Conflicts only occur/arise if cultural minorities are being disturbed from their peace. I’m proud Cat finally showed this beautiful culture of ours. Just like what you said, I feel proud to be a Mindanaoan.

I’m proud to say that I came from Mindanao but currently live in NY. I’ve been there in Seven falls, T’boli, South Cotabato, twice and it was amazing experience. Honestly, I can’t stop crying, emotionally occupied and u really broke my heart into pieces Miss Cat. U made me super proud lalo na’t maraming Filipino ayaw pumunta s Mindanao not because of the place but because of the stigma ng isip ng tao if we talk about “Mindanao”, most of Filipinos are scared but you, yes, you are Miss Cat ang ang buong team mo lakas loob pumasok at makahalubilo s knila ng WALANG ALINLANGAN. SUCH A PURE HEART AND TRUE LOVE OF OUR COUNTRY. All i can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH at s buong team mo. Such a worthy Queen you are! Keep up the good heart and continue share ur thoughts and love to every persons around you. God bless

The exposure of what Mindanao really needs, culture and heritage wise, that was being passed on until this day. I was born and raised in Mindanao during my childhood days till I move abroad. What raises my eyebrows is when people makes assumptions that Mindanao is at constant war or the abu sayyaf affiliations which is not the case at all. You can see in the video the smiles on peoples faces and even the celebration that took place. We need to educate people that life is not just what you have currently and what you’re seeing right now but rather explore whats beyond and respect what you see and learn from it. This is my message to the world, the you universe rather and I thank you🤪
