Fuck the other options they gotta go, New York has had a big crime wave for the longest but after the borders opened the crime rate has hit sky rate, after they came over here all they are doing is showing how weak the corrupt police department is so New York citizens think the6 can disobey the police how these asylum seekers are doin so it js makes something bad and makes it worse.
In response to the person who felt bad for the attacker because he was "troubled." No one has the right to act their psycho/social problems on innocent people. Innocent people have the right to be left alone. Political leaders have duty to protect the innocent. If they are unwilling or unable to do the job they should have the decency to resign and get out of the way of those who want to do something to clean up the mess that they allowed to happen.
Same thing happening in Chicago. This is what happens when you don't hold anyone accountable for their actions as small as they may be. The small crimes turn into bigger crimes because the police are not allowed to do their jobs because of liberal policies put in place. Not to mention, all the illegals coming in and causing much more crime. I am all for LEGAL immigration, but what is happening at the border is not right. No vetting of anyone coming in and it's not fair to the people coming in legally and doing what they're suppose to do to enter our country. You get what you vote for.
@saltymaam2046 When Ronald Regan was in power, he give people amnesty. The Border has been a problem since the beginning and probably will aways be a problem. People naturally will want to gravitate to the riches country they can.. that is human nature. As for holding people accountable, people are arrested and jailed in NYC for petty crimes. On the other hand, it costs about $100k/yr to keep someone in jail. This has nothing to do with liberal policies (which I don't support). Conservative run cities like Oklahoma City, Miami, Jacksonville, Tulsa, Fort Worth and etc, have higher crime rates. Just for the record it isn't illegals that are the crime problem. When Guiliani was mayor crime was way more serious a problem, than now. Guiliani really cleaned up the city, but even he couldn't control crime. Just look at Trump, before he ran for president, he probably spent more time in Court than on the Golf Course. The problem is, in the USA there isn't the kind of social stigma about people who are criminals or where criminals. Trump's friend Jeffery Epstein used to prey on young women, but he still had a lot of famous friends and associates. The USA has had a love of outlaws for some time...I would even go as far to say, they outlaws are more revered then the do Gooders. Like you said "You get what you vote for"!!!
Imagine if there were mean tweets instead, what would we do!? I'm happy we only get crime that affects the poor plebs and not me and my rich friends who live behind gates. But remember, borders are racist, but not the ones around my gated community.
Everyone saying “it was still worse in the 70s” No, there was a sense of community, through the chaos there was clearly structure within many of the residents, now everyone is on their phones and nobody knows their neighbors, very bleak

@Toestubber What are you talking about... Bragg is putting people away and even got Trump convicted. If you do the crime you will do the time, NYC cops are good. Is it because the lawbreakers know statistically there is a 1 in 2 chance their potential victim is armed? Mutually assured destruction works. That plus no State taxes is luring away hundreds of NYC cops. When the rats leave the ship it's time to look for another ship..🤔😬

Okay, so we shouldn’t tolerate thieves … anything else we shouldn’t tolerate? Ignorant people perhaps? Murderers? Mean people? People who lash out because they feel helpless, or cornered? Where is the line? And what is the punishment? Have anything constructive or practical to add, or do you just want all of us to know that you are above it all and that “they” should be punished?
My family and I visited Times Square in the summer of 2008. It was a wonderful experience. And I felt perfectly safe. We felt perfectly safe on the bus, on the subway, and walking the streets anytime of the day or night. And everyone was very friendly. I'm glad we visited when it was good, because it appears that that is now gone.
As the city encourages the crime and police turn away I am willing to bet if a legal citizen pulled out a gun, they will prosecute them to the fullest extent.
You're probably correct. If, in self-defense, you discharged your legally obtained firearm---you'd probably go to prison for 10 years the way they're running things.
I hated Rudy Guiliani but at least he did everything to make NYC better at the time. Now NYC is going down to what it was previously. I feel we are experiencing a bad joke in a bet between two people on how we can destroy this country all on a dollar like in the movie "Trading Places"!

Its wild to see the very streets I used to live on becoming such a dump. There was (somewhat) a certain level of respect we (the homeless community) had. Do's and don'ts. As an american citizen, I couldn't sit down in a corner of penn station or port authority without being told to leave...Not at all trying to hate on illegal immigrants...but they come here illegally and get to stay at 5 star hotels? You know how many times I've woken up with the tops of my legs completely numb from being so cold? It's wild man. I take full accountability for my actions because I was a drug user. The saddest part about all of this is the homeless veterans that are out there getting no help whatsoever. This makes me incredibly angry but I'm grateful someone is out there showing us first hand what's actually happening. Much love and respect to you, Jordan 🫂

Its been too hard for the non-rich to live in New York for decades now. People have been calling for systemic change to tweak cost of living for middle class & poor in different ways. There would frankly need to be decent well cared for state housing for blue collars to continue to live and work there now as it is. And even tweaks to housing costs just to have middle class accommodations. Like Starbucks coffee? Nice restaurants? Broadway? Think about how people have to live just to work in NYC and serve & entertain you. The cost of making the city a place people live again instead of just survive would be changing the way we do housing.

Liberal/Democrat policies have consequences.

Its been too hard for the non-rich to live in New York for decades now. People have been calling for systemic change to tweak cost of living for middle class & poor in different ways. There would frankly need to be decent well cared for state housing for blue collars to continue to live and work there now as it is.
