    A great review, buddy. I must admit it's been a while since I last enjoyed a gun review that much. Thanks for sharing.

    I just purchased mine, it arrived on 11/3/20. It was good to go out of the box. Shot pellets accurately until the compressed air have out. Only shooting at 20 - 30 yards. Got home, got my Nomad II compressor out, and filled it in 3-4 minutes. Unbelievable gun, light, very accurate, nicely balanced, really easy to use. I couldn't ask for more. I chose the .25 cal.

      @マイキー Really well, I even take it into the field, and hook it to my truck battery to give me extra refills. I keep WD-40 close by so I can lube it about every 5-7 refills. It's also very accurate. I set the Nomad at 250 bar, and it stops right at 250 bar every time.

    • @velie
      @velie 2 года назад

      @マイキー I think so, no issues with mine.

    • @velie
      @velie 2 года назад

      @マイキー Also, when I first received mine I purchased the male valve fitting, not knowing it came with one. The valve fitting I purchased leaked, and when I switched, everything went very smooth. In addition, the NOMAD II was designed to fill small cylinders like the 132 cc Cylinder. I bet people bought the Nomad II thinking they could fill the larger cylinders which it's not designed for, and would ruin it.

    Great review as always Donnie. I like the simplicity of the Huntman as well. I only have one PCP, the Gamo Urban, which has been great for my pesting needs. It's not in the same class as the Huntsman, but still of very good quality, and ACCURATE! Your reviews are some of the best, all facts with no fluff, love it. Keep'em coming. 💪

    Steve, from AEAC did an exhaustive review of the FX Dreamline. It was complete with multiple shot strings and chrono reports graphed out. It was a thorough review, really thorough. Not cutting the review but I sent the simple question "could you just sight this gun in and go shoot it"? He replied that yes BUT you would be wasting a lot of money. I just want to sight in a gun and shoot it accurately. I am not investing in chronographs and printers to record all manner of shot variations due to hammer pressure plenum pressure regulator pressure tank fill etc etc. This sounds like the gun for me.

      Hi Jeff. I promise you, this gun is that easy. Put a scope on it, fill it with air, and go hit whatever you want. I'd recommend JSB brand pellets for it. Can't go wrong.

    I have the Huntsman Reqal. A beautiful rifle. One slight error in your review, the Huntsman doesn't have the air operated pin to index the mag, it has a mechanical mechanism and yes you can double load it. Great review all the same.

    I have a Huntsman Classic and a Huntsman Regal. Both are outstanding guns and beautiful to own.
    The Revere is a brilliant and worthy development of what truly is a Heritage rifle.
    You guys are really fortunate in that you can enjoy unrestricted air rifles, but even at the legal UK limit, the Huntsman series have always delivered.

    I'm wanting to get started in field target .I wanted to be able to tune the gun by adjusting the hammer strike and the regulator setting to match the pellet I'm using . Can this be done on this gun without pulling the regulator out of the cylinder ?

  • @patthewoodboy
    @patthewoodboy Год назад

    bought on 25th Feb , the pressure in the cylinder went form 150bar to 100bar in a few hours , their QC is poor , mines going back and I will chose another rifle , I was wrong the pressure goes down when you insert the filler probe , you need to pump it up to replace the lost air , its fine and a very accurate air rifle . 🙂

    great video i have a daystate revere i took the shroud off and cleaned the barrel when i put it back on it stops 2.5 to 3mm shy of going all the way against the front face of the upper breech block and i cant get the 1/2x20 piece on the front to unscrew (it has screwdriver slots in the end) so can any of you UK folks or anyone tell me what im missing and how to remove the air stripper (the 1/2x20 piece) on the front of the shroud?

    Nicely done Donny. The Huntsman has long been one of my favorite air guns and I've owned a bunch. It's everything you alluded to and anyone who isn't looking to avoid the complexity that goes hand in hand with "adjustability", yes those that simply want to fill, aim, shoot and hit what they've aimed at, need look no further. This is a classic gun that's been around long time and it endures because it works and works very very well. Personally, I think fouling this beautiful gun with "slugs" is an abomination, but to each his own..LoL... I am a little surprised that DS opted to eliminate the builtin moderator. That barrel and moderator system worked as well as the rest of the gun (brilliantly in other words) but I understand the reasoning and I still think that at this price point, this particular platform is an unbeatable value.
    Cheers and thanks for the review.
    Joe P.

    • @Physics072
      @Physics072 2 года назад

      Eliminating the moderator saved them costs to increase sales at the price point. They were 1700 in 2012-2013 then dropped to 1399 now they are just over 1k. They are not quite as nice as the older 2013 XLs. The stock, metal tray, stainless bolt and quality hand picked walnut stock grains. I have like 6 PCPs and the Huntsman XL is still my favorite. They are no fuss do everthing well. Shoot JSB 15.9s the best and no air is better at 50 yards and closer.
      They are very easy on air. If you want to shoot 25-30gr pellets at the same velocity you have to eat a bunch more air for very little reward.

    Air rifles must look beautiful as do regular long arms; walnut and blued steel. Yet the advantages of the unattractive tactical look are numerous.I am long range shooting hobbyist, but fine air rifles have provided valuable training while off schedule. Shooting an air rifle at 100 - 120 yards can mimic the wind changes during shooting, the recording of no wind zeros at specific distances with specific pellets on iron sites and turret scopes mounted on specific air rifles and correct shooting position (the comfortable natural point of aim) Regarding wind changes, there will obviously not be 8 - 12 differant wind changes to factor for an air rifle maxing out at 130 yards. Although, the practice is great. For some, there is also the advantage of an abundance of ammo, during times when the manufacturing plants are resetting.

    Bought a new Daystate 30 years ago. had to change a few 'o' rings but no bother, 20 years down the line i started to have trouble with the trigger, spoke with Daystate ..not interested!. In fact i found out they lose interest with anything 10 years old. I can still get parts for a 70 year old BSA in lots of places. I will never buy a new Daystate because if you need bits you may as well throw it in the bin, and help, forget it!
