Great videos Derek. We have jsut bought a Stoney Creek Camper and a Kings 75 litre came with it. We have seen some bad reviews on the Kings so very happy to see your videos praising the product. We also could not work out how to reverse the lids so very happy you have given us a way ahead for that. We are travelling to Cape York in June so trying to work out a few things before we go. Thanks again Derek
I see you live in Qld. and have the fridge out in the elements. How does the fridge handle the tropical rain? I plan to run mine on the back of a ute , also. Let me know what additional water protection you deploy, please.
I have a policy when researching something I want or need to buy and that is to not watch video reviews of the product prior to purchase. I'm a big RUclips user, but I found in the past that I could be swayed away from a perfectly good product because of someone's bias. So, my 75 litre Kings arrived today, and as it's cooling, I'm watching reviews. Cheers mate. I've subbed as well. As for the 4WD Supacentre Kings brand, many of their higher ticketed products are really good. However, I've had bad experiences with their cheap, 'add-on' stuff, like the drone, action camera and a cheap light. However, the Kings swag and other Kings products I've bought are well made and in general, very competitive in terms of price point. I also bought a 3Kva genset when I bought the fridge. I'll be testing that tomorrow. After that, I'll be sorting out a complete solar system for my motorcar.
Is the fridge temp still coming down as the numbers are 24 & 25? I see a lot of good reviews about Voltx LiFeP04 batteries for when you replace your old batteries. They even have Prismatic cells if you want.
Hey 😊 thanks Derek. that helped alot. I just bought myself one of these and was wondering how you turn one side off as there's nothing in the book. I did try to work out how to but couldn't get it to turn off on one side. Thanks Derek Take care 🌸
Sorry, but I cant help you there because I sold the fridge when I sold my camper trailer. The 4x4 Supacentre should be able to help you out because the fridges are advertised to do exactly that, turn one side off. Cheers.
Sorry I'm late getting back to this reply. Reversing the lids is easy. Lift the lid to about a 30 degree angle, then get the palm of your hand and then gently hit the hinge side of the lid while pulling on the other side. The lid then jumps over the retaining lip and then lift it off. I used a flat screwdriver the first time I reversed them.
10.5 volt is a completely empty AGM battery - change the setting to medium, and Your battery will last longer. It would be cool having an audible alarm to go off, when it's time to put on the solar panel or start the car to get the battery charged, when camping. When I am camping, I'll be more busy working myfishing rod, than looking at voltmeters, so an alarm would probably be nice for somebody....

Coffee machine. Mate you could run a mig welder with that set up.
Maybe one day
Please get a nailclipper and cut those talons
Why don’t you give us the current when it’s being efficient not when u first turn it on
Kings fridges kill batteries. Poor man pays twice. Totally crap
Yep I made the mistake of purchasng a kings fridge, was good for 2 trips then died.
I have 2 Kings fridges for 5 years and never let me down
