I do hope that Arsenal keep thinking they are good. I hope Kelly regains his confidence as he is fast and will be very good, so pleased he did his job when he came on.

I agree. Don’t change a winning concept. Don’t do anything that could jeopardise the state of mind of the rest of the team right now. And keep Murthy on the right wing for now. Isak sounds and looks happy every time he mentions Jacob. It just works so well for both of them right now.

What a night and result. I will pose you a question, should Trossard have been sent off? In the build up to a Newcastle attack he deliberately pulled back Gordon (one yellow) and then deliberately pulled back Isak when he was getting into a promising position (second yellow). It happened right in front of the referee and he didn’t do anything. This is either incompetence or deliberate favouritism to the top clubs? Great video again guys.
I understand the Dubs debate however, price reported is $8 million = £6.4 million in a oner, so that covers an amortisation first year for Trafford who isn’t cup tied. Interesting week to come🤔
Great video guys, i think we have to have a mindshift same as the players, assume we are going to win! Easier said than done! 😂 Hope Dubs doesn't go, would rather sell Pope tbh but I get it. PSR forcing our hand again.
Not selling Dubs right now with this offer on the table would be a huge mistake. Both from a financial and football perspective. Dubs has been good these past few games but not tested and flapped a lot at crosses against Arsenal, he's 36 there is a big offer there for a player with 6 months on his contract. Take and roll with Valch if you have to until Pope is back. Need to learn from our past mistakes, be better sellers.
Clever answer from Eddie, now whatever happens the blame lies elsewhere, we sell and it goes bad It’s Eddie wanted to keep Dubs. We keep Dubs but have to sell other players for Psr it’s Mitchell’s fault.
Isak to Arsenal?.. maybe in 10-15 years after he has been to Saudi for a payday and he feels like doing some Charity at the end of his footballing days
Pure magic, kept fighting till the last second against an arrogant club like them. Arteta is a pain in the neck with his remarks to the result and I hope we stuff them at home.
Pif won't sell isak there not waiting for the money they want to build something special, and isak is special they will not get anything close to him again he's a very unique player
Great video as always guys! Can you confirm the rules about yellow cards at this stage of the competition? I'm guessing that things were reset before this game and because of Pope / Bruno 2 years ago I understand how reds work in relation to suspensions but would Tino, Joelinton or Gordon end up with a ban for the next CC game if they got booked in the return tie?
No more yellow card suspensions in the competition. The only way players would be banned would be if they were to pick up a red card in the Premier League (as Pope did in 2023). - D
Great performance players need a rest before premier league starts again Trippier n Kelly full backs longstaff Miley n willock midfield Almiron n Barnes up front we now have enough players to rotate in this game v Bromley 😊
Vlachodimos played I think, for 4 seasons on the trot, in the CL for Benfica not that long ago. You don't play for Benfica if you're not a good player and you don't play season after season in the CL if you're also not a good player.
If we’re offered anything > £4M for Dubravka he must be sold. The EPL/PSR/Cartel rules means no place for sentiment with older players no matter how much we love them. Same was true of Tripps/Wilson - I don’t want them to leave but if we are to continue to build we have no choice. Yes he’s played well but 1 mistake & our fickle fan base will be saying we should have sold him.
Anyone at the club entertaining letting Dubravka go this month is guilty of negligence. Just keep him til the end of the season and then let him go. Dubravka is playing really well. Pope isn’t yet back from his knee injury and has dislocated his shoulder twice in his career. Dislocated shoulder problems never fully recover. The shoulder will go again during his remaining career. Odysseus has never played in goal for us in a meaningful game and Ruddy and Gillespie are training keepers. Imagine Newcastle let Dubravka go and Pope gets crocked and we have to see out the rest of the season without Pope or Dubravka. The chance of winning the Carabao cup or qualifying for the Champion's League almost evaporate.
let him gan at the end of the season for nowt or let him go in January for £6m ???? You can see why they are considering it surely ? I would let him gam at the end of the window just to make sure Pope is ok
Great win for the *collective 11. Of course 👑 Isak, & Gordon... Arteta , blaming the ball, lmao Isak is going nowhere.. why sell him.. he's **irreplaceable**...
Why would Isak want to join Arsenal, they need a lot more than our striker, they need the other parts of our goalscoring machine that he loves playing alongside, this team has been built and coached to perfection and Arsenal can't afford him.
@@GeordieJournos It was banded about that we would receive a 5 to 8 million fee for him but it seems that isn't true and it looks like he was going for free which is why we should now try and keep him if possible
Guys, he is 35 Let him go. We will regret keeping him because of a good run. Crazy. He needs to go for family reasons and not sticking to a club because of a few good games. For me we will be criticising his performances soon.
I'd say, get rid of injury prone Nick, keep clean sheet Martin, get him to sign a 2 year deal, and In those 2 years, look for a decent keeper to replace Martin. We need Martin at the moment.
@ Just a hunch. I don’t think we’ll let a keeper go (current first choice) without getting another one in. Trafford has been admired for a while. We shall see.
Arsenal 23 shots, 3 on target & 69.5% possession with an xG of 3.09. PSG 31 shots, 7 on target & 72% possession with an xG of 4.47. PSG were far more dangerous and tested Pope several times.
We really need to change the dialogue across the board by talking about Isak being sold on. Top clubs don't sell their best players, and that's something we need to fight tooth and nail at doing. Sick of the rhetoric as if we are still the same old Newcastle who people think we should sell him to another PL club, especially one like Arsenal. We have to get used to beating these teams they call the big six and we have, maybe not the squad depth, but have a first team as good as any of the others.
Dubravka was a monster, Botman and Burn were like Gandalf (you shall not pass), Hall and Livramento were like wippets and Gordon and Murphy on the wings were up and down like yo yo's. What other superlatives can you give for Alexander Isak? The lad is playing like Thierry Henry in his prime! I am praying we now give him the rest he deserves and some much needed time off he has given our season new life in December and he is desperately needed fit and firing for the home stretch of the season. All the talk of Isak leaving is a complete and utter nonsense. Why would he want to move anywhere else?! he is at the best club playing under the best manager surrounded by amazing players like Bruno and Botman. We owe him a Champions League place come the end of the season then we get to keep him, simple as that.
I fully agree with all of this except that I watched a video recently of Henry in his prime and I had to stop saying Isak was on his level. He may get there at his peak but he ain’t yet
@ fair enough perhaps a slight exaggeration he still has a fair way to go yet before he is at the level of Henry but if he can keep this up then why the hell not?!
If we don’t get a replacement GK in we jeopardise Europe and a potential cup. 5 million? Worthless amount in football compared to either of those.: makes zero business sense
Re Dubravka I think it's only fair he gets to leave, as he knows, like everyone else does, that once Pope is fit, Pope will be number one again. Dubravka understandably wants to be number one week in week out.
Does it? Isak is already contracted until 2028 and has no release clause. A new contract only really benefits the player financially, not the club. - D
Dubravka will be getting a megabucks 4 year contract in Saudi league - would we offer a 36 year old player that ? No. How can we deny him that and keep a happy player ?
It is entirely on Eddie. If BDB is undroppable even though we have Botman and Schär now, then that logic has to apply to Dubz. Why should he lose the number one spot to bag-of-nervous Pope who has been falling backwards on his ass after a goal is scored lately? Dubz has won the no1 spot fair and square so if Eddie won't guarantee him the spot then the man is forced to leave and if this disrupts our momentum it is on Eddie. He should tell Mitchell to look elsewhere. A few million quid is not worth missing out on a first trophy.
Bring young James Trafford in if at all possible, a big unit really agile and terrific with his feet, that's the signing i would love. England's future number one imo😁
He also has bad mental baggage from making a lot of mistakes & conceding tons of goals last year during Burnley's awful relegation season, so hopefully Pope gets fit soon so Eddie can ease Trafford in gradually and rebuild his confidence in easier low pressure matches.
@DarkArterialGore I get that, but when your getting stuffed every week and got a crap midfield and defense in front of you, it makes you look bad. He will be more than OK at the toon, plus he's been playing excellent this season.
I haven't seen enough of him, to be honest. He was linked before the season, and it's clear that time and injury have caught up with Pope. We would benefit hugely from a footballing keeper.
@ChrisTopher-gu8gf Yeah, when he was in the prem, he didn't look great, but he was only 20/21 years old in a terrible Burnley team that we're suicidally playing out of the back. He's only conceded something like 9 goals in 20 odd appearances this term. He definitely has a bright future, in my opinion.
I get sick of you guys talking about Isak leaving NUFC. NUFC are the richest club in the world. Don't mention PSR, because that is a temporary situation. NUFC are not the same animal as it was under the fat man.
Lads if we win that illusive trophy 🏆 and the open top bus winds it’s way through the streets of the Toon with the 💯 mega adulation from us Geordies ganning absolutely mental, no player, including Isak, will want to leave as even at Real the players wouldnt get that god like treatment! So as a 54 year old who’s seen us win nought…gan and win it ffs and release the friggin pressure and reap the rewards🎉🎉😂😂
Dubs our best keeper on the books at this time no argument! Don’t understand the obsession with Trafford, if you listen to Burnley fans they simply don’t rate him!! If Dubs goes I wish him all the very best for his future HWTL
Re Dubravka, I have the perfect answer lads. Sell Dubravka for £5m, then arrange with Al Shabab to loan back him for the period covering the date of the league cup final, maybe we knock £500k off to do that. How injury prone Nick Pope is does worry me though.
so hold on a minute lads, you two are journalists and know what its all about. Clickbait and generating clicks with headlines (like you have on this video btw) 😂

We want the fa cup as well....we are aiming high
Financial? There's no money in it bar wages. - L
Clever answer from Eddie, now whatever happens the blame lies elsewhere, we sell and it goes bad It’s Eddie wanted to keep Dubs. We keep Dubs but have to sell other players for Psr it’s Mitchell’s fault.
Yep. Eddies not daft he knows what he’s saying for sure.
Isak to Arsenal?.. maybe in 10-15 years after he has been to Saudi for a payday and he feels like doing some Charity at the end of his footballing days
Feel like Eddie brought Kelly on just for you Jordan😂
Howe didn't sign him and that's a big factor in what we're seeing this season re him. - L
Arsenal manager knows what was wrong,it was the actual ball that cost them, not Newcastle been better 😂
Alreet lads great result wembley we come
Anyone at the club entertaining letting Dubravka go this month is guilty of negligence.
Arteta , blaming the ball, lmao
Isak is going nowhere.. why sell him.. he's **irreplaceable**...
Why would Isak want to join Arsenal, they need a lot more than our striker, they need the other parts of our goalscoring machine that he loves playing alongside, this team has been built and coached to perfection and Arsenal can't afford him.
I like Dubs but a fee for his age and contract situation is too good to turn down
Fee? - L
Dubs to leave will open the door for Trafford to come in 25:22
can you just explain to me why Burnley would let Trafford go in the middle of a promotion push ?
@ Just a hunch. I don’t think we’ll let a keeper go (current first choice) without getting another one in. Trafford has been admired for a while. We shall see.
The summer. - L
Arsenal 23 shots, 3 on target & 69.5% possession with an xG of 3.09.
PSG 31 shots, 7 on target & 72% possession with an xG of 4.47.
PSG were far more dangerous and tested Pope several times.
We should sell him but immediately loan him back till the end of our season. I'm sure this could be achieved.
What makes you think that? No benefit to anyone but us. - L
Unless he wants to leave, he stays. - L
Dubs all day long, what a servant 👏
Tottenham have a bad history with Liverpool so we’d be facing Liverpool in the final more then likely if we get to the final
Money doesn’t score goals. I think you’re having to talk about mega bucks for Isak, £200 million plus.
Agreed. - L
Another disrespectful fartetta answer like every time we completely turn teams over they should have scored 3 But they didn't the truths a bstard
Re Dubravka I think it's only fair he gets to leave, as he knows, like everyone else does, that once Pope is fit, Pope will be number one again. Dubravka understandably wants to be number one week in week out.
We finished 2nd on the PL this season, winners next
Positive stuff! - L
Shut all this talk down extend isak,s contract another 5 yrs...that puts all talk to bed
6:55 The Geordie Germ-os 🤧🦠
😆
Why would he go there we will be finishing above them in the coming season's you can see it happening
Hope so! - L
Dear all,
Canny video as always👍
Score prediction - 5-0(agg)👍✊💪🤘👏😎😊😁
Regards,
Cheers! - L
@@daveyeddie8176 Trafford will be the Lewis Hall of GK. Might take a bit but he's got so much potential. And for a gk hes so young. Have to buy him.
Think it happens in the summer. - L
Is no secret that Trafford is the target.
Do you rate him?
@@ChrisTopher-gu8gftbf he's been outstanding this season in the championship for a young lad.
I haven't seen enough of him, to be honest. He was linked before the season, and it's clear that time and injury have caught up with Pope. We would benefit hugely from a footballing keeper.
Not seen him for over a year now. He looked fragile back then. Hopefully with age he's beefed up abit
Botman is a top RCB so who needs Guihi 🤣🤣🤣
Good luck to dubs and his new Spanish team, el-kebab
I get sick of you guys talking about Isak leaving NUFC. NUFC are the richest club in the world. Don't mention PSR, because that is a temporary situation. NUFC are not the same animal as it was under the fat man.
It's topical, as it's Arsenal. That's it, really. - L
Sell him and loan him back for the rest of the season.
Makes no sense. They're not a charity. - L
Agree with this. They'll be gods. - L
If he goes, hope not, he should go to Real Madrid.
Abroad is the only place he should be allowed to go. - L
Another lucky win and we need to sell Hall he was shite again 🤣🤣🤣
Awful 😆 - L
Dubs our best keeper on the books at this time no argument! Don’t understand the obsession with Trafford, if you listen to Burnley fans they simply don’t rate him!! If Dubs goes I wish him all the very best for his future HWTL
All about age and the future. Dubs pretty much can secure his retirement fund in Saudi which we can't match, especially when he's nearly 37 years old.
just a thought but if we have liverpool in the final but that gives us europe regardless of anything else right?
I think that is correct, assuming Lpool qualify for CL via top 4(5?)
No, that's not right. The Euro spot goes to the winner, or the league, if winner already qualified. - L
That's not right. - L
@@GeordieJournos well they need to change the rules to match my expectations :P
Re Dubravka, I have the perfect answer lads. Sell Dubravka for £5m, then arrange with Al Shabab to loan back him for the period covering the date of the league cup final, maybe we knock £500k off to do that. How injury prone Nick Pope is does worry me though.
It's not an ATM, they're not printing money for us. £5m?? Where's that figure coming from? - L
so hold on a minute lads, you two are journalists and know what its all about. Clickbait and generating clicks with headlines (like you have on this video btw) 😂
The game is the game, mate. Same for everyone at all levels. - L
Arsenal is not a step up
It is. But not a big enough one, imo. - L
@ Disagree they don’t win nothing like us so don’t see how they are.
@@krul2bekind974 massive club. They do win things. But like I say, at the moment they're not a big enough step to level with it. - L
@ 1 FA Cup in Arteta’s 5 years is what they got they got to show alongside of 20 plus years without a league title and a league cup, Never won the European cup yet they win things lol.
@krul2bekind974 third most decorated club in English football. Traditionally, they win things. Silly argument to be having, anyway. I've justified why he could want to go there and why I don't think it would be right. - L
did I miss the transfer bombshell? all I heard was 2 kids waffling about their thoughts on the arsenal game for half n hour! click bait!
