Watching you guys just tickles me, you do it so well, but I could just throw up watching, any thing over 8ft up but I do enjoy watching you boy scale, swing, cut makes me nervous for you but do love watching. Thanks that height thing sucks, gladly your comfortable.

In the 1980s I was in a formal arborist program, sponsored by a coastal city. We learned most of this and more. But had no crane. But we didn't have your unity. Just interpersonal competition and ego. You guys are therefore a pleasure for me to watch. I came to pruning from timber management in a Western national forest. I showed my team about height and diameter measurement, and even increment boring. That part interested them. So they always had me do those for the record. Our saws were Stihl 011 and bigger. Our equipment was old style and we footlocked to get up in the tree. No SRT. Our throw lines were 3/8" and heavy, like the ones I used in the Navy. And so on. I hope you guys appreciate all the changes. But I do think your helmets look funny. LOL! Every year the agency provided new Redwing logging boots. Once I finally worked out my size I got along with these boots very well. Thanks for a great video. I enjoy your cameras going up in the tree. One thing that NEVER occurred to us was the weight of a tree. That was a surprise! Thanks Gents. I'll see you again soon. Michael Dougfir.
I really like watching your videos. I used to do tree service, and I know first hand just how tough of a job it is. You guys make a tough job look fun and easy. Cutting down trees is an art and you gents do a great job of it!. Keep up the great work, and keep the videos coming.
Carry the equipment to cut the tree, a camera to record, ropes to tie off, and hooking the boom up (properly) ... all the while carrying a round a set of steel balls!
At the end of the day loading all that cribbing back onto the crane truck. And we didn't see them take the cribbing off of the truck at the beginning of the day. These guys know their way around a job site.
what id give just to be a groundsman.....here in the desert of southern california the biggest trees we deal with are 60-80 foot elms and euks maybe some big cottonwoods and its only a side gig for me so i just do the stuff iam comfortable with, but you guys are living the dream love your videos
Mesmerizing panorama from the tree top. Made me feel dizzy. You have balls of steel. What an awesome crew! And the truck drivers nailed it! You guys ROCK!!!!
Can't tell you all how much I enjoy watching these videos.... you guys are the bomb! Experts with chain saws and all that you do.... VERY PROFESSIONAL!
Worked the White Mtn AZ pine/fir logwoods for a season (back in the day) and just retired a YardCare business a couple years ago... absolutely LOVE the skill, safety, and vibe y'all exhibit. I thot I could only be entertained by tree fail vids until I watched a couple Treeson videos. Nice Work, all around! wow
Had headphones in and turned up loud. At min 4 I got the chills. Love the start of going up to high places no matter what the context. You be safe lads.
Really quality work, and your videos are top notch too. I've enjoyed the last hour and a half watching you boys do your thing. Thanks for the further inspiration!
Sheesh, I was a forest service sawyer for a few years. Every part of this gives me adrenaline/anxiety ha ha. You guys are great. Im hooked. (Im watching this trying to motivate before taking down the 30' box elder in the back yard. Hahaha!)
Left a like and subscribe just for taking a piss in the chip truck best part about the job is always having a toilet! Hahah great vid from a fellow arborist down in Portland, Or. My company does come up to seattle area for larger jobs pretty often though so i will be keeping an eye out for you guys! Keep up good work and stay safe!
I'm just north of you in Victoria. years ago I was told that explorers like Captain Vancouver and others valued highly the Douglas firs for their strength. The tress were taken back to Europe for ships masts. On another note, I knew the owner of a saw sharpening firm here who told me a mill up Island using a gang saw had a blade explode....they had hit a cast iron cannonball.. Shot into the trees and the tree grew around it. Must have been a heck of a bang.
Me and my dad had experienced a near death cutting trees. Looking at all your videos, you guys take it down like a piece of cake (not to mention how danger it will be). Great crew/team work guys. I really enjoy the videos. Stay safe and #stay_home_during_this_pendemic
You guys are an great to watch. I trim cut remove trees all day every day. Nice to have something to relate with. Love watching and not having to do 😆.
I had installed a removable trailer hitch on the front end of my tool truck. Was great for getting the chipper or stump grinder into tight spots. Love working with a good crane operator
I have never cut down a tree and likely will never cut one down. I don’t even have trees on my property, but Jacob is so entertaining and he seems to enjoy his work so much that it’s entertaining to watch. Keep it up!!!
Good job, super smooth picks, and efficient crew all around! You don't see a climber come out of tree, mid job, to help with processing very often. Good on you!
I am amazed by your skills. I sometimes wish I had become an arborist until I see your shots from up high. Just watching your videos can make me queasy! Now I remember why I cut everything from the ground and when it's not safe for me to do so, I hire it out!
Yeah it'd definitely be nice to have two way radios or something, yelling or blowing a whistle while gesticulating wildly over a chipper running full blast only goes so far.
This was absolutely amazing ! Seeing what you do and how professional you are doing it is really impressiv. And relaxing at the same time. I feel that you guys really love what you do ! And i like the working atmosphere ! Big respect ! I`m from germany, but i would hire you guys instantly !
Your team is the best. You work safe and have a set of balls like I have never seen. Very well trained guys. Very professional. Keep up the great videos. It's a joy to watch you work.Thumbs up all the way.
I've watched a lot of your videos. You have a great crew. I really appreciate your attitude towards them. I have to say, all play a vital role in your work, however, Brian is a magician with that crane. I wonder if some cranes have seats that lean or recline backwards with a head rest. I know Brian gets tired of lookin up like he does. Some people can't bend their heads to look up without getting very sick. Just curious. Great team, great work. Thanks.
I'm in Shelton do mostly South sound very small company. Man it looks like a lot of fun working for a bigger outfit like that with all the fun toys, I've never done a crane pick yet but one day I'm sure I will. Stay safe guys.
Just found your channel and subscribed, man I got to say your work ethic and crew are very professional. The trees you guys cut are huge and super tall. Your videos and editing are on point! 👍🏻✌🏻
So do you guys end up sending alot of the HUGE logs to be processed in a saw mill for building lumber, and just the smaller stuff gets thrown in the grinder for mulch?
I was doing a big crane removal on some grand firs using a 90 ton crane at 140 feet. Took the dead spike tops out and came down the stem a ways. Crane operator looked and said that where I was would be good for picking so I cut a log off and he was struggling with it,turned out to be 12000 lbs at only about a 20 foot piece, too heavy for him even though it was a 90 ton unit. Went a bit smaller after that 😑
The fun part getting the gear in & heavy machinery in narrow sloping driveways, joyous fun, did an awesome job on this one fellas...My guess is 48,000 lbs all up.
You got it alot easier than me and my boss had it back in the 80s in the uk no crane ,shredders did it all from ladders. Nice to watch you working though
just an amazing job taking down that HUGE tree! the very interesting part was with the total weight, and sectional weights! those were large trunk pieces, do you make lumber? great crew , working safe and still having a good time, while busting your butt!
Back in the 80s I did some tree work, as a Firewood Merchant. Mostly going in after the Big boys had been through. I don’t have a head for heights, so parts of my anatomy disappear when you are Way Up High. You’re a bit like Fred Dibnah. Love the videos. Couple of questions, why no gloves. Just curious why when cutting the branches you didn't cut the compression first before releasing the tension? That would have stopped the barber chairing and eliminating the the little barber chair piece you cut off afterwards from falling and possibly hitting someone. Don't get me wrong, you guys are top notch in the profession and I am just trying to learn something. Carry on.
Just a quick undercut to cut the compression never binds unless you go to far, that’s when you pinch the bar. Perhaps it was for speed of getting the branches off? Not sure.

128' in the air, slinging a "big ass" chain saw... Just another day at the office for these guys. They make it look easy

The most impressive sight seeing was how much food and liquid you have consumed....NOT the tree cutting 😂
Yah I know right but after. A long job you tend to get really hungry
Why is this funny? “You are a lot” BAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Wtf.
For a skinny guy you can sure put the food away! Nice crew that works together well, look out for each other and appreciate each other's efforts.

likely because it would bind up on the saw what with the gavity pullin the branch down
Just a quick undercut to cut the compression never binds unless you go to far, that’s when you pinch the bar. Perhaps it was for speed of getting the branches off? Not sure.
