He said the cake was supposed to be symbolic and yet it had him, sitting by himself, on top where he was beheaded and crushed after the cake sat unprotected for an 8 hour drive in the back of a cargo van. And he had originally expected it to be edible 5 days after he picked it up. Yes, the cake was definitely symbolic.
Did he really expect the best man left behind to organise and not only that but fund his hen do for his bride to be ? And he is bewildered as to why this guy quit ? He took the one best man with him but expected the other to do all the hard work back home, whilst they have a jolly, what a joke !!

I know they aren't supposed to communicate directly during the program, but don't you think if they knew they'd been accepted onto the show, they would talk about what they wanted and what their expectations were beforehand?

Never put the cake in the backseat especially when you have a lot of heavy things in the back of a truck or a van or whatever cuz that cake will definitely be destroyed and then you got to go with option two

He didn't get bridesmaid dresses, he didnt pay for her baggage, he didn't get taxi from airport to hotel, she was there for 3 hrs before best man #2 bought her a taxi...sorry 10 yrs or not, I wouldn't have gone through with it
It's a rare man that can plan these things. But to expect them to know what goes into planning a wedding. I've never seen the show, so do they have any kind of guidance? This is bizarre.
The producers want the show to be as chaotic as possible and encourage the grooms to go over the top (at least in the newer seasons). They likely choose couples who they believe will create the most drama, and arrange for certain things to go wrong.

Not much of a friend to let down the groom at the last minute when he’s miles away, quite rotten behaviour.
The Groom was not financing it well and blamed the Best Man for not telling him about the Dresses etc when it was his responsibility.
