Astrology is basically good for entertainment value and not much else. It's mostly about prejudging people for something that they have no control over (when they were born). The descriptions given for each sign are vague enough to apply to anyone, and I get sick of my parents always comparing me with my brother and my nephew just because all 3 of us happen to be Geminis.

I regularly read comic books and got bullied in school because of it, I wouldn’t want to do that to anyone else’s interests! When I made the original comment a year ago, a few classmates of mine were joking about astrology and making fun of Scorpios and one or two other signs. Today I was with a group of people, some of them my friends, and at one point we were talking about astrology. I expressed it was all bullshit and one guy made a scene and yelled at me calling me an “ignorant”. We got into an argument, the atmosphere got awkward, and now everything is weird with my friends. Aparently I’m the only voice of reason.
I mean, as long as they weren't being toxic about their hobby prior to the arguement, I don't see how they're the villain. If you expressed that you don't believe in it then sure, HUGE overreaction on their part. But Astrology is a huge part of Wicca and other pagan religions which existed way before the rise of Christianity and still persists today. So if you were being rude and judgemental about it, which I'm not saying you were but sometimes we miss these things, you're bound to get that reaction particularly if one of your friend practices Wicca. I'm not a huge fan of religion and have some pretty controversial takes on the matter but I never spoke rudely of it in front of my Christian friend or called it "bullshit". I wouldn't be too impressed if my friends and I started discussing a topic we take interest in and someone shat all over it. Like, I watch anime. One of my friends told me they weren't a fan of it. Sure, it's not for everyone that's fine. But then when another person I told started insulting it while we were trying to have a discussion, that's when I started making getting irritated. You can apply for them, then meet with scientists, you discuss an experiment in which you prove what you claim to be true (such as vedic astrology). Both the scientists and the person pretending to have those "powers" must be happy with the experiments arrangement. If the experiment succeeds and the person proves that they tell the truth, they get a lot of money (depending on the challenge up to a million dollars). So far, no Astrologer of any kind has succeeded. They always say "yeah I wasn't feeling well" or make other excuses. And the really famous Astrologers refuse to attend those challenges. They don't want to risk humiliating themselves by showing that they can't actually do what they claim to do. If you believe that vedic astrology is true, have anyone demonstrate that in one of those skeptic challenges.

This entire astrology thing has gotten severely out of hand. I had to hide my birthday and time of birth from people just because of how bad it’s gotten. People judge off of what position the planets were in at the time you were born. I find that ridiculous.

However it is best used as a complementary tool to other modalities of interpretation and creative thought, not used as a religious tunnel vision dogma that we find our whole identity in. Like any other tool it must be used with critical thought and also stepping back away from it to not get too sucked in (isolated from other ways of thinking), dependent and vulnerable. Everything has positive and negative traits, we take what we need and leave the rest.
Astrology archetypes are not realistic at all. Pisces are considered naive unrealistic but also spiritual and able to see the big picture. There is no such person on earth. Astrology is nonsense. We better check out the real archetypes like the ones described by Jung. Bc anyone could utilize this to control or even just subtly influence peoples’ thoughts and feelings.
I've seen people ask someone if they're one sign, then when they responded another sign they were like "oh yeah that is so you!" It's silly, because if you look into astrology a lot of the different "signs" hold the same or similar traits. So a person can quickly make a guess on one characteristic and then draw on another one when they find out the person's actual sign.

Person has also psychological structure, and as soon as you accept that you are one of the symbols that PEOPLE usually assign to you from your birth, that symbol structure will be connected to your psychology structure. It really doesn't help that I have the most stereotyped zodiac (cancer in sun and moon), cancers are said to be really empathetic, highly emotional( also stereotyped as crybabies), and prefer stability over power but that is absolutely not the case for me. I am very intense and like having power, I am also very perceptive and dig deep. Yeah, honestly? I was on imvu (a chat game) making small talk with strangers. The topic of zodiac signs comes up.. one person asks me for mine, then proceeds to insult me because "lmao u aries are toxic asf" ..haha. I'm just baffled to the extend that some folks are actually willing to believe that the position of stars magically affect our personalities. I looked up the traits of my sign just out of curiosity. Well, I'm not hot-headed or confrontenrional as it states; I'm actually a peacemaker. And that really is one thing. In fact.. my personality heavily matched to my complete opposite, the one zodiac sign that *explicitly* does not get along with aries. It's just a little sad. It doesn't take a genius to see why astrology is just as real as santa.

Astrology is quite dangerous, you start to have bias of others without actually knowing them truly. It’s dangerous to us as we start to believe that we are superior than others just because one sign is assigned to be that way. It just doesn’t make sense. When I started to believe in astrology, I found myself to hate others, and feel so superior of those who just did one single thing, and it would suddenly all connect and why they did so. It kept me from making meaningful connections and just being in the moment. Like dang! It’s messed up, and quite invasive. I’m slowly healing from it, but it’s so hard when you’ve built this whole thing, and now you’re disassembling it all. I can’t seem to get people out of my head and their sign bs. I feel like crap, and useless when I ever think of astrology and horoscope bs. Thank you for this video, nice content! Guess my astrology by this comment. Please.

I think if you studied the science (especially Vedic) , the great consideration the topic requires might be realised. One may criticise what they desire, yet the power of their assessment rests in how well they know the subject. So I posted a comment on here about three years ago about how astrology is completely real and that people were "too blind to see the truth" and "not on my dimension." If you are a astrology believer and this offends you, take a good look at yourself. Why do you need this label? And when I say I was knee deep, I'd research it for hours everyday and look at the world from that lense. I thought it was a secret to life. I truly did. The energy you feel is real, but not connected to the planets in any form. The reason you are receiving different energy is cause you are a perceptive individual who can perceive many different angles of life. Those energies are real. Astrology isn't.

You're saying that people's personalities can change (which is obviously true), but your point literally proves that personality is real... or else how can it change? An analogy would be you saying that hair color is not real, because you can dye your hair. Uh, but some people have brown hair. Today their hair is brown. That's objective, and you can recognize it. Also, don't think of personality in terms of 'better or worse', any more than personal taste of people you enjoy being around.
Don't think of personality so concretely. Everybody has their own personality, that's it's possible to recognize like a fingerprint, if you are skilled. Even if you're not skilled, you should be able to recognize that someone you know has a similar personality to someone else (perhaps a celebrity, or something).
IMO the easiest way to learn about personality is to study the Meyers-Briggers Type Indicator system (also known as MBTI personality profiles)... you just have to remember that they're not concrete -- they're _generalizations._ And you're making estimates, because there's no measuring stick for intangible characteristics. The more you practice, the more accurate you become at assessing personality traits.
While you initially said that there's no such thing as an introvert or extrovert, that's actually the easiest trait to analyze. If you 're-charge' by being around people and socializing, then it's a good bet that you have one of the extroverted personality types. If you re-charge by being alone, or with a small group of your most trusted people (family or closest friends), then you probably have an introverted personality type.
Within those two basic groups, there are several sub-groups, based on other aspects of personality, such as how you take in information, whether you usually come to conclusions or prefer to hold on to possibilities, and whether your decision making is more often based on thoughts, or based on feelings. This adds up to 16 combinations, with the MBTI system, and I have found it to be an amazing method of basic analysis. Astrology is basically good for entertainment value and not much else. It's mostly about prejudging people for something that they have no control over (when they were born). You & everybody else in this comment section hating on astrology have no idea how to read charts. Nuance exists in every methodology. You’re going off of the sun sign like every other misinformed astrology hater & the surface level pop astrology person who give astrology a bad name. A persons natal chart is based off of all the planets, signs & astrological/mathematical points in the chart that hold different significances. Not all scorpios are hyper sexual. Again, you’re looking at it so surface level that astrology doesn’t make any sense to you. If you’d like to dig deeper you can, but judging a system off of such a surface level understand is foolish in itself.

@@Heksensang first off, my friend who is big into astrology read my chart once, and it claimed that I was hypersexual, manipulative, etc. While I don’t personally have the time, energy, or passion to really research charts, my friend did and I trust them.
Secondly, I’m really glad you’re able to find joy from it! I don’t want to shame anyone for liking it. My two closest friends are big astrology fans. I regularly read comic books and got bullied in school because of it, I wouldn’t want to do that to anyone else’s interests! If you look at my comment it’s about my own personal distaste of astrology, and my discomfort when people try to apply mine to me.
When I made the original comment a year ago, a few classmates of mine were joking about astrology and making fun of Scorpios and one or two other signs. The entire endeavor made me incredibly uncomfortable and this comment section allowed me to vent a little bit about it.
I definitely see what you mean about the elitism sometimes, and so many comments here prove that. I just wanted to clear up that I am not like that. This was just me venting about my personal charts and how they make me uncomfortable, not astrology in general or the people who use it!

Today I was with a group of people, some of them my friends, and at one point we were talking about astrology. I expressed it was all bullshit and one guy made a scene and yelled at me calling me an “ignorant”. We got into an argument, the atmosphere got awkward, and now everything is weird with my friends. But Astrology is a huge part of Wicca and other pagan religions which existed way before the rise of Christianity and still persists today. So if you were being rude and judgemental about it, which I'm not saying you were but sometimes we miss these things, you're bound to get that reaction particularly if one of your friend practices Wicca. I'm not a huge fan of religion and have some pretty controversial takes on the matter but I never spoke rudely of it in front of my Christian friend or called it "bullshit". I wouldn't be too impressed if my friends and I started discussing a topic we take interest in and someone shat all over it. Like, I watch anime. One of my friends told me they weren't a fan of it. Sure, it's not for everyone that's fine. But then when another person I told started insulting it while we were trying to have a discussion, that's when I started making getting irritated. Everyone has stupid hobbies another person doesn't understand. There was a girl at work who was AWFUL to our coworkers and was just a pain to our manager and all those around us knew general. She asked people if they wanted to move in with her because she needed to split rent in order to stay there. She asked EVERYONE and no one wanted to move in with her. Someone FINALLY asked her about the roommate position and they made plans to move in together until she found out they were an Aries or a cancer or something. You can apply for them, then meet with scientists, you discuss an experiment in which you prove what you claim to be true (such as vedic astrology). Both the scientists and the person pretending to have those "powers" must be happy with the experiments arrangement. If the experiment succeeds and the person proves that they tell the truth, they get a lot of money (depending on the challenge up to a million dollars).
So far, no Astrologer of any kind has succeeded. They always say "yeah I wasn't feeling well" or make other excuses. And the really famous Astrologers refuse to attend those challenges. They don't want to risk humiliating themselves by showing that they can't actually do what they claim to do.
If you believe that vedic astrology is true, have anyone demonstrate that in one of those skeptic challenges.

I've seen people ask someone if they're one sign, then when they responded another sign they were like "oh yeah that is so you!" It's silly, because if you look into astrology a lot of the different "signs" hold the same or similar traits. So a person can quickly make a guess on one characteristic and then draw on another one when they find out the person's actual sign.

Astrology symbols are just structures of behavior, personality and lot's of things.
Person has also psychological structure, and as soon as you accept that you are one of the symbols that PEOPLE usually assign to you from your birth, that symbol structure will be connected to your psychology structure. And after reading horoscope many times, you put more and more into it and develop more of that fake being into yourself.

It really doesn't help that I have the most stereotyped zodiac (cancer in sun and moon), cancers are said to be really empathetic, highly emotional( also stereotyped as crybabies), and prefer stability over power but that is absolutely not the case for me. I am very intense and like having power, I am also very perceptive and dig deep. Sure I might be "emotional" but I've learned to control it well and I can be brutally honest despite of what month I was born in.

I was on imvu (a chat game) making small talk with strangers. The topic of zodiac signs comes up.. one person asks me for mine, then proceeds to insult me because "lmao u aries are toxic asf" ..haha. I'm just baffled to the extend that some folks are actually willing to believe that the position of stars magically affect our personalities. I looked up the traits of my sign just out of curiosity. Well, I'm not hot-headed or confrontenrional as it states; I'm actually a peacemaker. And that really is one thing. In fact.. my personality heavily matched to my complete opposite, the one zodiac sign that *explicitly* does not get along with aries.

Astrology is quite dangerous, you start to have bias of others without actually knowing them truly. It’s dangerous to us as we start to believe that we are superior than others just because one sign is assigned to be that way. It just doesn’t make sense. When I started to believe in astrology, I found myself to hate others, and feel so superior of those who just did one single thing, and it would suddenly all connect and why they did so. It kept me from making meaningful connections and just being in the moment. Like dang! It’s messed up, and quite invasive. I’m slowly healing from it, but it’s so hard when you’ve built this whole thing, and now you’re disassembling it all. I can’t seem to get people out of my head and their sign bs. I feel like crap, and useless when I ever think of astrology and horoscope bs. Thank you for this video, nice content!

I appreciate that you took the time to share what you think about this subject. Still, the argument unfortunately does not at all apply to those whom have studied actual astrology. I think if you studied the science (especially Vedic) , the great consideration the topic requires might be realised. One may criticise what they desire, yet the power of their assessment rests in how well they know the subject. It is unfortunate that so many people believe astrology is some nonesense nilly willy (or willy nilly?) newspaper cult (and yes, I would say the newspapers and most of the popular astrology sites are bad and laughable), when it is nothing of the sort. Astrology does deal with a considerable amount of science.

So I posted a comment on here about three years ago about how astrology is completely real and that people were "too blind to see the truth" and "not on my dimension." If that's not what I said that's how I felt four years ago during a very strange time in my life.
The thing is, I can see both sides. Most people knee deep into astrology have a problem or something they are trying cure with researching birth charts. If you are a astrology believer and this offends you, take a good look at yourself. Why do you need this label? If you think it's the essence of your being and so deeply ingrained into you, as I did, you may have a problem. It probably stems from an insecurity, cause as soon as I started to feel better about myself, I let that shit go.
Just trying to help due to the hindsight I have on this issue. And when I say I was knee deep, I'd research it for hours everyday and look at the world from that lense. I thought it was a secret to life. I truly did. The energy you feel is real, but not connected to the planets in any form. The reason you are receiving different energy is cause you are a perceptive individual who can perceive many different angles of life. Those energies are real. Astrology isn't.

This astrology garbage is so toxic nowadays I won't even tell ppl my birthday anymore! everytime I do these ppl into this stuff have something ridiculous - rude to say about me based off my b-day after meeting me for 30 seconds! these ppl need a reality check!

I experience this so often. I’m scared to tell people my sign because I’m used to people reacting hostile toward be. Calling me bad names, and assuming I’m a bad person after I tell them my sign. I had one Coworker act strange toward me for months after I told her my birthday, and she finally came to me and told me I’m not like other Aquarius she knows. She thought I would be a mean, backstabbing, cold hearted, bully, because that’s what Aquarius act like. 🙄🙄🙄😟
When I finally talked to my crush, she believed in these Zodiac bs. Safe to say she is no longer my crush :D

I find it cool that we are born on a certain star sign. But judging people entirely by that is unbelievably stupid. We, as human beings, have full control over what kind of person we are, and no zodiac can decide that.

I would love for one of these experts in astrology to guess after knowing someone for a month what there sign is. Obv without knowing you’re birthday. I guarantee you I could guess the same % as they do.
