I have Creo 4.0 M090 and I don't see the Sketch Region filter option. Is there a config.pro toggle for it or is it only available in 5.0? Thanks!

Starting in 5.0, hence the name of the video.

@@CADPLMGuy I suppose a good reason to upgrade. Thanks for the answer!

Allright and if I wanted to later on change the region of the first extrude to include or exlude some region...how can I achieve that?

@Creo Parametric , I really like this way of designing though I do not manage to hide the Sketch afterwards when use the Sketch Region extrude function. Do you have any idea how to deal with this? Thank you!

It doesn’t get hidden automatically since the Intent is to use it for multiple features. When you’ve created all your features, click on it with the left mouse button and choose Hide from the Mini Toolbar.

@@CADPLMGuy Ok interesting, thank you for your reply. The issue is that it doesn't make it aesthetically appealing when you open up every time your assembly. Do you think that there is a tricky to get it to be hidden at the opening on the part or assemblies. Like when you use Suppress or Simp Rep, etc. from the view manager. I've been trying to find a way but still didn't manage...

Are you not using Save Status after using Hide or Layers to change visibility of entities?

@@CADPLMGuy I actually tried to use this option but it seems like within an assembly, hiding the sketch does not get updated in the Layer State file. It works in the part but I have to open the part itself and activate its layer state. I should maybe look at an option to have the latest layer state saved activated for all parts when they are open. I will try to dig into that

Ah seems I found what works for it! I was using the "Layers" option from the "View Manager" to create a "Layer_State" which works when you want to hide a part in an assembly, etc. But when you want to hide the Sketch of a Sketch Region it was not. What worked is saving the "Status" of the Layer tree by going to View/Layers. This seems to hide the hidden sketches of the session that I've hidden before saving the Layer tree status. Not so trivial for me ahah. Thanks for your help ;)
