    Making sure you have it Pre/Post is very important because you will definitely have different results with each.

    I want to send my audio to another track after using teh noise reduction plugin so that I can apply the dialogue leveller after the noise reduction. Is that possible. All of the options in the bus format don't create a track that has a dialogue leveller.
    If I try and use the dialogue leveller on a track that has a noise reduction fx, the dialogue leveller amplifies the noise prior to the noise reduction, which makes it impossible to get a good result from the noise reduction.

    Good day and thanks for this. Noob question: Will there be any issues if you remove the "BUS 1" in the BUS OUTPUTS to those three tracks (in the video)? The tracks are getting sent to an FX bus which outputs it back to the MAIN BUS (BUS 1).

      You can do that with no problems, it should still work.

    Great video as always, Jason! Quick question - if I just wanted the wet audio, (i.e., just the fx bus audio) would I turn off VOX 1 through 3 bus outputs, or is there a better way to achieve that? -- Rob

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks! You could turn off the vocal tracks, or just make sure the FX is set to 100% wet and then boost up the fader for the FX bus. But if you only wanted the wet FX, yeah, dropping the faders for the VOX tracks would work. Make sure the bus send is set to PRE fader, so you'll still get the signal form the original VOX tracks.

    Great video Jason, thank you. I knew the theory but will actually try it out soon, video was exactly on time.
    A question not directy related from another church sound enigeer, something what is making me nuts... it's making me nuts.
    I want just what you did, 32 channels out from the X32, and recorded into reaper.
    I have 32 channel out selected in the X32 on the setup tab, routed the the channels correctly to the card, installed the Asio driver on the windows Pc, but still can get stereo out from the X-usb X32 card. Do you have a clue why this can happen?

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Thanks for checking out the video! Awesome that you are a sound engineer at your church too! That's awesome. 😎
      One thing to check is that in the card output on the x32, you've got it set to record, not play. If it's on play, it would playback from your computer vs recording it. You also have to make sure the routing is setup correctly in Reaper to make sure everything matches the x32. Here's a great video on the setup w/ the x32, computer and reaper. I generally set my audio sends at -4 to -8db, in that way I am not going hit the effect to hot.

    Is there a way to keyframe the Slider?

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 месяца назад

      Keyframe the Fader? Yes, you need to use the automation tools to do that. Here's a video on it: ruclips.net/video/TmS6s9tBANs/видео.html

    Hi Jason! Hope you had a great time at the Javits. This video couldn't have come at a better time. I was just thinking about adding a bus so that I could control overall level by busing to a bus and then sending that bus to the main out (which is bus 1 by default). I'm more of an audio guy than video, so I know how to get this done in Pro tools etc. I hopped on RUclips to find quickly how to add a new bus, but I'm going to watch the whole video because I like your stuff. BTW, I have a video coming up about my experience at the Javits going to AES this past weekend. I'll let the algorithm find you, if it's meant to be. Continued success!!

    OK Now can we PLZ See what your Fairlight > Bus Assign. Looks Like. the (Upper Right Corner the 6 squares & the other Representation 3 dots & 3 Lines).
    This is one thing I really Struggle getting Correct when trying to MIX 5.1 Surround Sound.

    dude! this was monumentally helpful for my current project. I saw someone else explain this in a video a long while back, but it wasn't nearly as well demonstrated as your explanation.
    I was trying to figure out how to auto duck with two separate VO tracks to the background music track and after your bus explanation it all just clicked!
