Once again Wilson saved the day
Sad that so many people don't 'get ' it. Having a grandfather who fought in this war, it is hilarious.
Every time my daughter (also a huge fan) and i have chips, one or other of us asks for them crisp unt light brown.
LoL very good.
The same year Philip Madoc also played a German E-Boat Captain in Hell Boats, not a large part but also proving his German speaking abilities
He also played the commander of a naval vessel, 3 years earlier. It was in an episode of UFO, titled, "Destruction". You can see free, on RUclips. A much more substantial role, this time.
Was he related to Ruth Madoc from HiDiHi..
Timeless classic...
At 14:08 the german commander is talking in German to his men and telling them of his plan to fake stomach pain to create a diversion .
Thank you
In different situations, our heroes faced both the Kreigsmarine and Luftwaffe. The Home Guard has faced the enemy... and won!
Yes I use to here from idiot journalists ad nauseum that the dads army movie was no good because in the series they never met the enemy .
Leave the sub-Titles in. A lot of my older Dutch friends here in Australia love to keep their skills up. Great show, great memories and a superb online comedic acting class.
Philip Madoc was very good in this episode.
"If we chop off their trouser buttons & they try to run away, that'll show something unusual." xD

What Is Your Worldview? - Creation or Evolutionism? Clive Dunn was a national treasure. 😀 Oh...and creation if that's OK?
13:27 your name vill ulso go on ze lisst. Vut iz it?
Very occasionally a joke will enter the consciousness of an entire nation. 'Don't tell 'em Pike' is such a joke. I miss the days of 3 channels, when such things were still possible.
Absolutely classic British humour
"They sure don´t make ´em like that anymore..."
Got that right, Brother.
Arthur Lowe's constant exasperation makes everything even funnier.
Say goodbye for the ceiling.......mprffrrttt priceless!!
I love L/CPL. Jones he is the funniest of the bunch

Rest in peace Private Pike
Brilliant. Don’t make them like that anymore 👍👍👍
A classic British comedy that wouldn't be allowed today. 😔😔

Best DA episode.
