I mean I'm pretty sure the attacker would use something more dangerous and probably illegal. An attacker only needs their weapon when they want to attack, not to hide on yourself at all times.

@Vivek Joseph only single shot chambered in .22 and it will take some time to unfold and for $299. to carry you would need a concealed carry license and if you have that carry any other pistol instead. over priced (and probably ineffective) gimmick gun, no thanks.

On top of that, a gun is first an foremost supposed to be a deterrent. Let's say you get mugged and you actually manage to unfold and load that thing in time. There's a good chance, your mugger won't even recognize, what this thing is supposed to be. You might as well just hold up a banana.

I conceal carry everywhere. Doesn't freak me out when I go to subway or starbucks. You get use to it
1:20 this gun would be terrible for people intimidated by larger firearms. One of the scariest things about guns to newcomers is the kickback and sound, both of which would be much worse with such a small gun than a regular .22 pistol.
I'm very comfortable around guns and very aware about the safety as well and I would only recommend a gun like that to those who can say the same

In the U.K. if you get caught with a taser including that phone case you will get trialed as if you were caught with a loaded firearm for some reason including if you had pepper spray and you would get a minimum of 5 years

Lemme tell ya something - my dad is a military guy and has fired this thing. and some other experts have declared that this is fine for self defence but is too weak to be classified as a real gun, as in an ordinary one with a barrel, grip, etc. so don’t think you’re the best and the most knowledgable guy

I bought my father one of those personal alarms, but not for self defense. I got him one in case he gets into a accident since he's a senior citizen. But those personal alarms also send a signal to the local police station.

I love how the footage used to show the pepper guns effectiveness, showed a young man slowly walking towards them after taking 3 hits from it.
Something tells me he would have had a harder time doing that if any of those were headshots.
I know expert but I appreciate that this content was both enjoyable and informative and seem to represent good ideas in terms of self-defense gadgets. Many, like the keychains, are very reasonably priced and I sure am interested in the Lifecard 22 pistol.

From what I see is that the robber would hesitate and wait for the victim to take out their Doraemon self-defence toy and protect themselves. Which I think don't normally happen because mostly what happens is the attacker stabbing/shooting you before you even turn. The More You Know

1. One shot, plus its considered as "any other weapon" in the US due to its design (which means you need a tax stamp which is $200 and 6+ months of waiting)
2. Its not non-lethal, its less lethal
3. there are plenty of small yet powerful flashlights out there with the same features
4. its not a self defense weapon, but rather a pen with a window breaker attached.
5. This will only piss off your attacker, but not stop them
6.you'd need it handy at all times, which for many people (women especially) isn't always ideal
7. Its a paracord (or similar type of cord) with a ball in the middle, I (or any one for that matter) could make one for probably a lot cheaper.
8. would only piss off your attacker, but not stop them
9. relies on CO2 cartridges which I would not rely on them. CO2 cartridges (if not fully installed) will leak.
10. Huge and bulky, would not recommend carrying as a daily self-defense weapon due to its size.
