Oh man! Just what I needed! I love how this thing peaks at the proper 9/12 port pitch unlike some of your other sirens (which I don’t really care about as you can always reduce the voltage and make them sound right). Great work!
Yeah I'm trying with the idea of having this one have a removable motor cover so people can actually adjust the tuning on it. We'll see in the future what I plan on doing 🤷
@@connorcruz6249 You could do something like a mini 555 timer speed controller circuit with a screwdriver adjustable potentiometer for pitch tuning. That would likely require a custom PCB though.
Awesome job! The 1968 & 1972 Allertors are my favourite sirens. I am very surprised how efficient the projector is for a smaller size! I like all the 8/12, 9/12 & 10/12 port combos that siren was made in. I have studied this siren for a long time & in future when I find 3D modeling software I am going to try & create my own when I get my 3D printer setup again. I have a QIDI XMAX 3D printer & when the time comes I mainly want to make ACA & Federal Signal rotors with 9 to 9.5" rotors by 6 or 8"s deep & a 10" stator & use a DC motor on a variable power supply to get full control of the rpms & to get realistic windowns. I also plan to balance those for smooth operation when the time comes in future.
That would be super cool, I would love to get myself a much larger 3d printer in the future and print some ridiculously large sirens. My goal at some point is to get a 3d printer big enough that I can completely print a full size model 2.
I agree, yeah I look forward to seeing what large sirens you make in future. ACA always has been my favourite brand. They were like Rolls Royce of American sirens from their well thought out, engineered designs. I also a fan of the 10/12 500 SHTT, to me it was one of the best engineered Federal Signal sirens from its unique rotor design & how it uses triangle stator wedges. I was thinking have you thought of making another mini Allertor in 3/4 port? What I was thinking was is, it'd have 3 ports at the front, then 4 at the back, then 2 of the 4 back rotor blades would be shorter while the other two were full length to make an undertone. I am curious how far the sound would carry from the efficiency of the projector at twice the rpm for the same pitch as 9/12. Years back when I originally used my printer for a short time I made a ACA 5/6 siren. Recently I made a prototype projector for it out of a round cheese carton for the compression chamber. Then a paper roll core I cut to size made into a 90 degree elbow, then I used a cardboard box to make the top projector & the bottom intake cone. I used staples to fix it & the projectors together. Soon I will be going back to the drawing board from what I learned & I will be remaking it far better this time round by instead using two round cheese cartons to get the right depth needed between the front of the rotor & the compression chamber. Then I will use an automotive 90 degree elbow for the top tube, then a plastic funnel cut to size for the front intake & it will sit a few millimeters infront of the rotor like a real one does in the compression chamber. I also planning to fabricate the motor housing & the rectangle structure the DC motor will sit on, then use another round cheese carton for the base since I never tried making that before. I also got a roll of gutter guard recently since it has a similar pattern to the meshes of the screens on the early Allertors. I then thinking of getting sunburst yellow spray paint once my project is complete. I also made a dual tone 4/8 port MS-190 a while back with a dual shaft motor. It sounds like an 8 port siren with 4 port undertone at 3,500 rpm. Then at 7,000 rpm sounds like a 8/16 Sentry.
There's a Yellow one in Marysville, KS on a Tower, at least it was 11 years ago when We were Storm Chasing. Don't know if it's still there. I was just there in Oct and never noticed.
I might get a 3d printer for Christmas I sent a note to a police department to take their Thunderbolt 1003 because there’s was a 2001 in the town but they never responded maybe because they need the 1003 for more coverage and I kind of like the allertor I might print this I mean I looked for a link to steal the thing didn’t find but it’s your choice if you decide to give me like a link or whatever to get it 3d printed somehow
Slowly but surely, I actually scrapped the old design and im completely redoing the whole thing over from scratch with a simpler design. This one will work much better as well. I'll probably do a Livestream of it on it Friday.
They will be sold eventually for sure, Its just a prototype and I'll still have to run it through its paces first before I can feel really confident in putting it into production. As for price I haven't thought of one yet, I'll have to do the math on print hours, part cost and everything else.
Yeah they will be on the shop at some point, but I first want to get a bit more of the Los Angeles models out. As for how much they'll cost; I have no idea yet to be honest I haven't figured out how much they cost to make.
Oh I make all my thumbnails manually, I use capcut to edit all of my videos and I'd say it does a pretty good job. Maybe I'll show how to do that someday
Once I sell a bit more of the los Angeles models, and I want to be sure this model of the Allertor will hold up over time before I'll be confident enough to sell them
No idea yet as it just a prototype, but once Im confident that the whole thing is solid it will definitely be available, Im still struggling to get the los Angeles series models out because I can't print them fast enough!
That's most definitely going to be my next ACA design as I can reuse a lot of the same components from the allertor. I'll be printing some more stuff soon once I get enough parts and filament

All the siren manufacturers are staring in awe, wondering how somebody just 3D printed a fully functional siren that also sounds accurate.
That's cool. As someone else who wants to order one, I can't wait to see it in your shop.
No siren can beat this man
Nice! Try making a hurricane?
This kid.. dude he cannot do that because he doesn't have the files
That’s too cool, great video & siren Connor!

Would also love to see if a hidden flywheel is possible, so it can growl when powering down
Peda the horse is here
Just out of curiosity how come the Rotator isn’t driven by the Chopper Motor?
Okay I know I need to buy one of these and one of your 500s one day. Damn these are amazing miniature replicas!

That would be cool to print up a full scale Thunder bolt t1000 dual tone stater.
You are my inspiration to make my own model siren. Thanks
Are you still working on the mini t-bolt?

What motors and speed controls do you use for these mini models?
When will it be available
You should make a video of how you made the rotator
THIS IS AMAZING!! I would purchase this thing so quick if i could
It will be out eventually, will take just a little time. But just you wait!
Please
@@NSSignalGuylol ur name
Also wanted to let you know that the allertor I believe is 7 feet long 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide (this is sirensandgaming65 alternate channel btw)
If you ever do, it will be amazingly cool to see a mini ACA HURRICANE
To use like blower, it's possible to use a vacumm cleaner.
When will this release I really want
Damn! that's the most accurate sounding mini siren I've seen you make! will this be sold on thesmallsirenshop? if so how much will it cost?

i recommend making the gears have a v-shape to prevent them from moving up and down. anyway great work!
They have no lateral play in them because both gears are held by retaining bushings, they physically can't move up and down.
Awesome! Will you make a P-10 as well since they are similar to an Allertor?
That's the plan! As well as a p-15
@@connorcruz6249 Nice! Can't wait for those!
I would love to buy a Federal Signal Model 5 if you ever make one for sale.

Once I sell a bit more of the los Angeles models, and I want to be sure this model of the Allertor will hold up over time before I'll be confident enough to sell them
@Connor Cruz also, will you send out different port ratio sirens if asked
You should try to make an Mobil directo and use the aca allertor pieces to make it
I probably will in the future, like I was saying; I plan on using a lot of the design elements used in this model to make others.
Can you make a video of it on the pole
For sure for sure I'm actually making a pole for it to go on

Mini 2001-srn?
Where can i buy one
Are you going to make more siren
I bet he do
Do an ASC (the successor to ACA) T-128!
How did you print it out?
Using my 3d printer, it's made up of multiple pieces, trust me it wasn't done all in one shot.
Wow, okay
Do you sell the sirens on Etsy? Also if you do do you sell more than one
They will be sold on my Etsy shop soon, I'm just working through the design to make sure it's perfect first.

Connor you should put flour inside of the allertor and see it blow the flour out like snow

Ö can u do aca p50?
How much for one? Would absolutely love one

Try a Sirex and Super Sirex (Sirex is single head) both rotate btw. Make single tone (7 port?) And dual tone (7/10, 7/12)
Is there any thingiverse file XD😂
