Thank U om...akhirnya ketemu juga solusinya....because saia sudah habiskan 8 pcs esc emax blheli 30a dan 4pcs emax blheli 12a semuanya burn ketika proses setting di openpilot or libre. ternyata pada kabel esc positif di potong dan arus 5v d ambil dr PDB....terima kasih banyak om....salam dari Indonesia

Hi, one question, what can I use in place of the ccd3d equipment as none of it is available in the present, 2024, please take out the part in this video that states you sell it. Now, I am building a quad drone that was originally based on a Nano board, but this did not work out. I now need a Flight controller that I can connect to my 4 individual ESC's, can you suggest any? Thank you.

Very nice video. I understand the ESC connections and 5v but my FrSKy little receiver doesn't have 6 channel inputs. It does have more features but less connections. Do you have any suggestions on how to understand how to use it?

yes you can use. just search for "cc3d gps" on eBay or AliExpress. I have not used it but you can I am sure.
Good video... Question though - When powering the FC with a PDB the FC does not need the ground wire? I noticed you only connected the positive wire from the PDB to the FC, but no ground wire?
Just watch at 7:10 . Flight control need 5V. Either provide the 5V from PDB or ONE (only ONE) of the ESC. The ground: when you connect the ESC, it will be the ground. All grounds are shared. So don't worry.

I really need to know because I didn't understand well, if I have PDB with the hole, the "blue sky panel", I need a 5V regulator between the pdb and the flight controller? It's my very first time doing this kind of things and I have only seen university laboratories with easy circuit to mount 😵 I really like your videos!!

Hello,,,I followed exactly asper your video,but when I get to Libre Pilot setting,on the transmitter setup, center all your sticks then click next,,,,where you suppose to move both sticks around,,,,this is the point where I cannot move both sticks...can youhelp tq

hello, your video is well understood. sincerely with this i can go on to build my custom flight. in the video time (21:27/24:08), there you used a cable to bridge the last channel BIND BAT in one of the receivers. please can through more light on what happened there? thanks so much.
the bind cable is uses only when you bind the transmitter with receiver. here I used to to show the blinking of the LED nothing more.

Hey having trouble seeing any stick movements with a
FS A8s receiver and FS i6 transmitter in Betaflight. I've set it to IBUS and bound up no prob. Scratching my head as to why no stick input ... any ideas most welcome. Thanks! Paul
Hey, it could be anything as to why motors are not responding. Your ESCs could be NOT armed. Find out what ESCs you have or your flight controller isnot allowed the motors to be armed.

I think the emax 12A Bheli is a linear ESC ? You don't need to cut the red wires or add an extra 5V. If they are switched or else then you do.
If you don't cut it, the current will flow between devices if the voltage is not exactly 5V. so it is a good practice to prevent that.

if you want to turn ON or OFF something else, you don't need flight controller. But if you want to fly a plane or drone, yes you will need it.
Can you connect esc to battery directly without the flight controller and bec?
Yes you can. 4 ECSs with 8 wires will be very messy.

If i’m using the esc with no 5v. I have to get the 5v from the pdb and connect the white and black wires of the esc to the cc3d channels. I have a pdb xt-60 is there any problem? And why you don’t sold a positive and a negative wire from the pdb to the cc3d you only connected one if i have the no 5v esc i have to connect a positive and a negative? Thankss
I have explained this. But here again. CC3D need power. Either from pdb or from ESC. but ONLY one. not both. So if your ESC don't have the 5V, then provide 5V from pdb.

Robojax and if i want to connect a fs-ia6 receiver i plug the wires of multilple colours that come with the cc3d to the cannels of the receiver . That will work?
at 06:50 (click on 06:50 to watch) I have explained that you will get 5V from ESC. If your ESC doesn't have 5V, get it from PDB (watch at 08:55) and I have shown at 12:55 when 5V from PDB is connected.
for the multiple coloured wire, see it at 14:20. I had to down and watch the video to get those times for you. Hope this resolves you issue. Please watch the video again. I have left no question un-answered.

we have the same receiver which used at the last , power supply to the receiver is given through usb port by laptop connection but we didn't see any blinking in the receiver?? any help from your side....
Check the voltage going to receiver using a multimeter. (multemeter (-) to GRD and (+) to the middle wire) if you don't see 5V then the voltage has issue or board is bad. If you see the voltage, make sure both (-) and (+) to receiver is connected. if you still don't see light, then receiver might have been burned/dead. Replace it.
So the two kinds of bec boards are interchangeable？
Yes. depends on the features and how you use them.
I have build the drone and it doesn’t work could you please help me? I have the esc with no bec and i connected them to the 4 channels of the cc3d , then i took 5v from the pdb ( i welded a red cable from the 5v of the pdb) and conected to chanel 5 on the positive . The cc3d has no power. What am i doing bad?
have you connected negative from battery to ESC and from ESC to the CC3d flight controller?
Are flight controller and power distribution the same thing? If they are is there a reason for using 2?

Did i have to use an UBEC for my flightcontroler when my BEC has UBEC ??? Fast answer please :)
that is to provide 5 volts to flight controller (FC). so if you have 5v supplied to FC, then you don't. So if your ESC has the 3 wire servo cable, that is UBEC and it means the ESC has 5v.
u should have used a cutted positive pin to (5v) power the cc3d ,,,just to avoid mistake and short out the board...min 13.30
is it necessary to connect power distribution or we can join in parallel all together to battery..
you can do it. But it will look very ugly and you won't be able to resolve an issue. It would be very hard find the problem for example with a morotor or ECS, then you need to unsolder may bell all wires to remove just one ECS.

I'd like to use SBus on my quad since my reciever can do it. But do you need an "inverter" like for the Naze32 ?
I don't which inverter you are talking about. for CC3D you don't need anything extra. Bus can be connected to the flight controller.

I was wondering because nobody reported my reciever working with the CC3D and SBUS.
No you don't need it if your receiver has SBUS output. this is for the receivers with multiple servo output to make is ONE output for SBUS.

this receiver will work without any change in setting with FlySky transmitter. Why do you need to set anything? Just bind it and it will work.
Why my receiver burned, i was followed that method, i use cc3d and battery 3s?
Receiver needs 5V. You can't connect it to 3S. I don't know how you connected it but it should have been connected via ESC or another way from the regulator or PDB. Y

CC3D is already doing it. Why would you do that? Then use ArduiPilo which is for Air Plane or drone based on Arduino.

Is cutting the 5v of all ESC but one necessary. Does it create problem if not cut. I mean over current to controller ??
each ESCs will generate 5V. But the 5V will be like 5.123V and 5.052. So the difference 0.123-0.052=0.086VG or 86mV will be dissipated in the flight controller. This is happens with all 4 ESC. So yes cut them to be safe.
Robojax Thanks, While doing research I found an alternate answer. The ESC bec are of two types. Switched and linear. While linear it is OK to connect all the bec but switched bec will have problem because of how it actually produce 5v, by switching at high frequency. They may go out of sync when all four connected together.

what do you mean by "wont' work"? is it not binding or you don't see response from flight controller?

Why do you use PWM, while you have an I-bus and an S-bus available ?
It's like taking your bicycle while there's a Porsche in the garage....
Not all receivers have s-bus, not all flight controllers have the input. So this was general guide.
