- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- Well we recently rescued this wagon from the woods! We are going to build it into a Hot Rod inspired wagon. I decided we would pull the body so we could clean it up and be able to have better access for fixing floors/rebuilding the suspension. Be sure to check out the new content on the second channel! One body that isn't getting removed is mine from my couch as I kick back and watch this quality Puddin'-ry unfold. Thanks for making my Monday better!🙌
Ain’t gonna finish your projects that way.
@Nothingtoseehete I'm waiting for ol' Puddin Tang to start up an Overhaulin' series. But he specifically comes to me and finishes all of my projects. I suppose I should do a "will it run" on myself and get out in the garage though....
@@AmityvilleMustang😂😂
That’s a great thread idea. I’ll start
@@ShortArmStrongArm where have I heard that before?? Lol
Great video! One way I have always seen done is to run a 4x4, wood or steel, across the front of the body and put the stands/jacks outside the body. You can lift it and have plenty of room for the frame. Keep up the good work.
Done it that way myself. Works well
Amazing removal of the body from chasis and no one died!! Great job, cant wait until next Monday.
Puddin your videos just keep getting better and better! Thank you for making Mondays a day to look forward to.
Midnight here in the uk and its puddin time
Puddin that is a Solid car for sitting in the dirt like that so amazing all those bolts came out it’s going to be a sweet ride when it’s done
Awesome video Puddin! Thank you Bill for helping! Great job guy's!
Nice start on the wagon. I use to get upset it when mom told me to take a break when working on a truck, but when she didn't I would get tired and do about the same thing you did pulling the wagon out of the garage with no tires. So it is understandable. However I really like the video and how you separated the body from the frame.
You always do an excellent job editing. It really makes the videos a pleasure to watch.
I love these wagons and its going to be a real treat watching you work on her. Thanks for all the time and effort in allowing us to come along.
I recall how excited you were to get that wagon! I know you’re gonna treat ‘er right! I will be watching like always! 👍💪👊🙏
I have a 5 year degree in junkyard technologies I found motorcycle goggles work great for eye protection when underneath stripping parts!
That intro man, I feel your pain! I've had so many hoods dropped on me, hood latches buried in my back. Glad to see this wagon is getting some love!
I was dyeing in the first 5 seconds 😂
Ouch..
My chevy pickup poked me in the head so many times that I made the hood tilt forward.
On the 61-64 the hoods don't open far enough even with good springs to get that damn pointed end out of harms way. Can't even begin to count how many times I've taken it to the back of my noggin on my 61.
lol yuuup or the button on top of the hat lol that shit is torture
I’m a wagon guy, this is gonna be a rad project! Some 2x4’s will make great cribbing to hold that body up nice and sturdy. Go ahead and splurge for a roadster shop chassis.😅 Best be getting that stuff organized, bagged and tagged. I’m kicking myself for not doing it right now.
Nothing better than seeing a new Puddin video drop...then seeing it's an hour and 9 minutes long!
Short stroking!
Shake well. Skeet, Skeet!
I thought this was a family show !
Looking forward to the rest of the build!
Enjoying this project. I can see how body off will allow for a whole lot easier rust repair and doing all your chassis work. Heck, you can install all your engine and chassis upgrades before you drop the body back on. Save a ton of time, work and your back and knees. Life will be a lot easier for you. And you can move back and forth between the chassis and body.
Puddin' always has the moves like Jagger. That Valance looks like the way the bumper on my 83 Firebird attaches.
Had this plumber laughing right out the gate, fine job
I'd love to see new Mr horsepowers go back on the wings...just looks good 😍 old school sign painted would look legit 👌
Got the whole family watching this video during dinner time haha! keep killin it my dude!
Couple times in the body lift I was holding my breath but you got it done! Great job, always enjoy watching
I think this one will be the sweetest build yet . I love these old 60’s lead sleds and they make beautiful rides . Puddin that was pretty good thinking getting it off the frame and can’t wait to see what you do with it .
I like to see projects get completed, will it runs are good but rebuilding the car is even better 😁😁👍👍
This is why I watch and admire Puddin for his humble honesty and ability to laugh at himself.👍
This is totally awesome you're doing it the right way this brings back a lot of memories I built a a complete carriage for a vehicle use jack stands So we could set the body on it and road around the shop For a buddy of mine so we could new 4 payings and build the car so this brought back a lot of memories
love old wagons cant wait to see how she turns out
Get some gussets on those stands, front-to-back and side-to-side. That's a lot of leverage on those T-welds at the bottom if you start pushing it around. I'd want top weld gusseted side to side as well.
Like my uncle biden said COME ON MAN I thought you were going to get some what crushed by the light wagon . Man I was hanging on while the jacks were getting removed & to my disappointment nothing happened COME ON MAN !!!! Kool shirts
He came by and was nice enough to jack it, then just split! Wow.. you have good friends!
I think the new off road jack from harbor freight was dreamed up after they watched your videos! Keep up the good work buddy.
I can not wait to see how this one turns out. My wife calls me crazy, but I love them on wagons
Love the new project can't wait to see it done!!
I though all of those junk yard crawls and getting things running were cool but I am glad you are building stuff
great video, glad to see you get back to your more traditional video style.
The trim on that 77 caprice classic is worth money tail lights front clip emblems you’ll make a good $2 k grand outta that car 💯💯
Hey Puddin, When that body shifted, I thought she was coming down. Thankfully you had the stand under her. Love your channels and videos. Take care and be safe.
Turns out she’s pretty clean and solid. Looking good sir. Rust-free cars like that don’t exist up north here any more. Got a 2008 model that’s like Swiss cheese on the bottom half. Subframe falling apart. In 5yr it’ll have returned to nature in its ore state.
You took it slow, didn't get in a hurry and, except for a few little hiccups, you did it! Great video Puddin😁👍😎
Son, you carry your pair on a BIG wheel barrel - that was some daring-do!!! I am totally stoked for this rebuild!!!
Let the record show that Bill knows his stuff and is a welcome surprise any time he appears. Hopefully, your moving to the new place won't mean we see less of Bill.
I lifted the body on my El Camino using come alongs, ratchet straps and the roof trusses which meant I had it suspended, very easy to roll the chassis out then. However my body was totally stripped, no front clip, interior or even glass so much lighter. Much ingenuity on display here.
I love the ingenuity and jack use combined in this episode!! Great video, and can't wait to see the next progress on the wagon!!
Interesting Puddin. You methodically got this chassis and body separated. You definitely starting 2023 with a little crunch. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful car - and it's not even blue! Love it!
Great problem solving to get the job done. Always great to see what you can accomplish with skill and patience. Monday evening is better with watching your video keep up the good work.
Love the sound of that jack, sounds like a darn horror movie.
Watch your rides fellas, puddin is out with the grinder again!
All jokes aside, love the work you do and wouldn't do anything different!!!
Hell you have me wanting to pull my 60 wagon off the chassis now! Somebody talk me out of it please lol
I am totally excited about this build. I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
Y'know what, watchin you work on stuff is just as fun as anything I can find for a Monday.
Happy New Year! Excellent project! Looking forward to the progress!!
Always impressed as hell how you do all this ALONE. Dude. Mano a mano with the rust! UNH!
That was really cool watchin ya do that puddin! I love it when Bill stops by too what a cool guy!
Love watching detective Bill discover things that were yet un-noticed . Bill is old school master mechanic me thinks...
You're not an idiot. You're doing a lot of things by yourself. You're doing fine.
this type of project doesnt add any cost besides time, well worth the effort and time to get a better product in the end
Loved the episode. Impressed with the endorsing skills and the sound fill in for the fire from the hip. Lmao good stuff.
You don't need to make excuses for doing a good job. That wagon seems happy to be worked on.
Hot Damn It's Time For Another One 🤘🤘
My best tip for keeping vehicles interiors clean is make friends with a detailer. My brother likes detailing and he gives me a good deal on cleaning my junk for me
I just read about half the commentary here Puddin, everyone's thoroughly enjoying these videos and looking forward to Mondays just to view your excellent work at doin' what you do. The good Word says not to grow weary in well doin' that you may reap after having done so, so just keep up the good work and we'll keep on watching your intelligent mechanical means, comic slapstick while doing it, and we'll all laugh together with good clean fun...just don't grow weary! We're counting on you!
Watching you lift the body was poetry in motion… 55:14
Gotta say I do love the videos so excited for this adventure of a project keep it up brother love ya puddin
Thanks for sharing 👍 building a wagon myself so I really enjoyed that one...
LETSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Where we going?
@turdferguson5962 on an adventure with ole puddin, buckle up buttercup
I alwys impact them before taking the body off the chassis, perfect!!
Some of us are jack of all trades but master of none, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
I love this 61' swaggin ! She look to have the rare factory tinted windows. Can't wait to see the Clay Smith's Thrust Bird restored to it's former glory. Oh I wish I could find a 64' wagon like yours on the east coast !
So happy I get to watch these videos now on the big TV and enjoy Puddin with my fiance that doesn't know a thing about cars. Thank you Puddin for the good laugh when you forgot to put wheels back on, I've done things like that plenty of times.
Nice rig. Can’t wait to watch the build and see where you go with it.
Excellent! Reminded me of having one of my cars jacked up, installing a new rearend, I put the tires on, and it slowly slid back, off the jack stands, and the tires just touched the ground…scared the crap outta me.
That's some pretty impressive garage good enough engineering. Still can have you a victory beer just a nice cold root, birch or ginger beer. Heck this could even be worthy of a sasperilla.
I’ll never regret buying four 12 ton jack stands.
Puddin, Thanks for all the laughs.....I'm glad you do post your mess ups! It keeps the show real... I always think yup I would of done that too. Lol!!
Глаза боятся, а руки делают! Впереди большая работа. Удачи, у тебя всё получится.
Well, you were right it was a little sketchy, but by going slow it turned out great. GREAT JOB!
I love love love that car. I have a soft spot for 61's and I have a 61 Impala 2dr bubbletop that is probably in about that condition, and this is so motivating me to start working on that car. I am so super stoked for this build! Thanks for putting out great content.
That frame extraction went surprisingly well. When the time comes I'm gonna try my hand at a tip-over jig
Like you said,!, IT ROLLS BETTER WITH Wheels on.thanks again for taking time to entertain us
Mondays always improve when Puddin appears!
LoL this is exactly how I had to reframe my truck this last summer. I had to go 20 cinder blocks tall 4 wide and I still had to build a ramp out of 2x4 to go cross ways under the body to separate my frame and to put my other frame under it. Things get sketchy. Glad your safe.
Be careful of those pavers, those things can break under point load and fail. Concrete blocks are worse, but it might be helpful to put a couple pieces of plywood on top to distribute the point load and prevent tipping from a sudden break. FYI
You're making your guardian angel work overtime. Super sketchy, even for Pott County. Glad you made it out alive.
Just got home from a long day at work puddin, thanks for posting your content
Get a couple of painters canvas drop cloths and just chuck them in the wash when they get dirty, easy clean up for any loose debris and easy to take out.
Watching back all the videos I missed ,I've been gone for years not sure how many , but glad to see your doing well I knew you'd make it also glad to see the corolla is still kicking
Gotta, love the Late Great Chevy wagons! Your content is so down to Earth, so enjoyable to watch. Isn't it wonderful to fix up classic cars that were not subjected to road salt (perhaps not too much, we need to remember the age of the car, and it was sitting) or other garbage concoctions dumped on them? Seeing those body bolts looking like new is impressive! But of course mud tossed up to the rear mounts is a common problem rust area, not only on the Late Greats.
Next time you do this, run two long 4x4s up into your rafters and pin them with a few screws, then run ratchet straps (2 inch racer straps) through the tops of the windows. You can also run a ratchet strap from the tailgate to the rear window and the same on the other side and add another stringer or two through the rafters for that load. Add padding where appropriate. Jack it up as far as you can with the hydraulic jacks, then tighten up the ratchet straps. If you are worried about pulling the bottom stringer of the rafters off, brace directly underneath the questionable rafters to the floor with 2x4s cut to fit, like a Lally column.
You get one of the propane torches and then set there and heat it up on the bottom out maybe they'll come aloose
Love how you keep your shop tidy and clean
Good job but made me jump when the body slipped
This is the kind of projects I like to watch.
You should pick up one of the new off road jacks from Harbor Freight, I wanted one but none of the stores close by have them in stock so I had to order. Can’t wait to get it
I'm glad you didn't get hurt puddin
I’m really looking forward to this build. It came apart like it wanted to be saved..my old Ford fought me
Regarding your own household plumbing repairs, “It’s a dirty job…., but somebody has to do it….., I only wish it was somebody else!” -AVE
I love the shape of the 61’s wheel wells. That’s one beautiful body style😁
I love being able to have a few good laughs on a Monday night. Thank you Puddin
I lost it when you brought lil John into the equation 🤣🤣
Looking forward to seeing the results.
Hot Damn! That hood ate the hat right off from your haid! 😂👍 Oh well, everybody forgets wheels and tires sometimes. 🤣😂🤣 Hooeee! That thing slid out just like you intended! 😃👌 Thanks for showing us that!
Love the invisible custom wheels she's definitely laying frame now
