  • Silvia De Bastiani, the Italian contemporary watercolourist, knows how to interpret the theme of alpine nature with unedited artistic wisdom, truthfulness and originality. Combination is possible for her undoubted technical abilities and because she is an experienced alpinist. This last characteristic allows her privileged points of view, resistance to the climatic changes and the possibility to paint en plein air, a modality of work that allows her to transfer on the paper the solitude of the great spaces, the noises of the nature, the feeling that with the passing of the hours, the changes of light, of temperature cross a porous and shrewd mind. Through a technical language that combines figuration and abstraction, Silvia De Bastiani has the gift of being able to involve the viewer in her enchanted gaze.
Silvia De Bastianiastiani is represented by Salamon Fine Art, the third-generation art gallery nestled in the heart of Milan and led by Lorenza Salamon deals with Fine Prints and Figurative Contemporary Art.
We aim to propose the best Italian painters, sculptors, etchers, watercolourists.

What an incredible artist, I wish we could see more of her painting, it is mesmerising to see her create on the paper a whole detailed landscape ; these watercolours are really splendid and enhance the beauty of the landscapes, wether it is mountains or forests

Love her work. I just wish there were English subtitles as unfortunately I am monolingual.

I tried with the auto-translate Italian (auto-generated) >> french option in the subtitles settings, and it worked quite well, so maybe English generated subtitles might work too if it can help
