My guest, Anto SG was born and raised in Indonesia. He struggled with mental health issues and was at some points in his life, restrained, released and reintegrated into the community as a self-taught artist and English student.
He is currently pursuing a PhD programme at the University of Manchester in the UK.
Anto is a talented artist and uses art to create mental health awareness.
He has been a mental health advocate since 2010 and has volunteered in various mental health communities across Indonesia and offered his lived experience expertise in various projects and research globally.

Bipolar disorder is a mental illness that causes extreme mood swings which include emotional highs (mania) and lows (depression).
Its symptoms really affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behavior & the ability to think clearly.
