Yeah I bought this exact model over a year ago and haven’t looked back on those standard food saver type vacuum sealers. I love it because I can grind venison in 8 x 10 pouches then smash it flat and freeze it in 1 lbs pouches. I do the same with venison stock. It definitely makes storage a lot simpler. Love it.
Rob, once again you have me adding things to my list, just like the tumbler, which I love. I might have to wait a little bit for this, but it made the list. Thanks again for your videos.
+Brewer65 LOL.. I had to save up for this one.. I'm not a fan of the purchase price of the chamber type vacuum sealers. That said, after using it just a few times, I was very happy with the purchase. It's a rock solid unit. Now I'm off to find other nice tools you ca add to your list... Take care. LOL
That's a really helpful review. Thank you! I cook sous vide a lot and have been thinking about getting a chamber vacuum sealer after so many mishaps with liquids with a regular vacuum sealer. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for your video, it was one of many that we watched before buying one. Besides the ability to vacuum seal liquids I just bought one due to the cost of bags. These chamber bags are much cheaper than the mesh bags needed for external machines. 3-10 cents per bag, verses the 25-50 cents per bag on the mesh bags. My wife and I think that it will pay for itself in no time.
Do these really seal better if just sealing meats such as hamburger, chicken, and steaks? Can you set the actual vacuum suction as in inHg or does it only goe by timed vacuum setting?
Vacuum sealing it is a great way to marinade, but it doesn't allow the food to be mixed or agitated with the marinade, which could be a more thorough way to marinade.
i know this was asked a year ago, but i had this machine for 7 years. Yes, it has a slight seal issue. Pressing on the lid seals it to the gasket. It only takes a couple seconds for the vacuum to start pulling and then you're good. Overall it was a great machine. I just upgraded to the VP215 which is substantially better.
thanx rob .Just got one. I do not understand why when i marinate in it it all comes out of the bag on to the inside of the unit.....very messy clean up. Why is that ?
I love that machine. I always just put both sides of the bag underneath the clamp and it works perfectly. Nice video!

What's the break-even point between the price of bags?

Great demo. Thanks, man!
How would this work on something like a pork butt?? Do they make bags big enough and can the chamber hold it?
Any reason to use a marinade tumbler if you can use this chamber vacuum sealer?

We have lost our power cord. How do I replace?
4 years later is this vacuum chamber still working great for you?
When you first got it you said plug & go. My question is you did not have to put oil in the pump?
Apparently they no longer offer this unit!!!
I've noticed that you press down on the lid when the vacuum starts. Is there an issue with the lid sealing?

Gary, call the manufacture... Mine doesn't do that. That said I have only marinated a few times in it as I do most of that ion my Vacuum tumbler.
I'm still baffled why they got rid of the vacuum gauge on the S
Where can I buy this ?
what sized bags where you using for the chicken?
It takes a lot more time than the big vac master to seal
No one selling that model anymore
i'm wondering why and what is the equivalent.
best way to sneak booze in wherever!
That lid, and hinges, look like they won't last long...
I like your video but the cheapest machine they have now in 2018 is $1,100!!!
