Great scoop for a senior Swimmer/novice

I love the paddles. As a beginner swimmer they were a great tool for me to get some swimming done while learning technique.

Agreed, they are a great tool! And there are lots of different types to try out.

@@myprocoach123 They all look similar, though. Are they doing the same job, aren't they?

@@msmile9528 generally speaking yes, but the size and the shape will have a slightly different impact, e.g. a bigger handpaddle will add more resistance to your muscles. This can be good for building strength, providing you don't use a set that's too big as that might cause an injury.
Some brands like Finis have some odd shaped paddles, but personally, you're best off buying a 'normal' shape and using them to build strength and work on your technique.

What underwater camera do you suggest ?

    • @myprocoach123
      @myprocoach123  Месяц назад +2

Any camera that can capture a video of your swim underwater will work; you can do an online search for the best underwater camera that suits your budget. Alternatively, you can buy a waterproof phone case that will allow you to use your phone to take these underwater videos.

@@myprocoach123@myprocoach123 That is a great alternative, Coach Phil; thank you. How did you take yourself on camera? I am pretty new to these things-)

I had a videographer on poolside for the footage in these videos, but in the past I've bought some action camera mounts, there was one that I used which could be stuck to the pool wall which worked really well. With the phone case idea, this should sink, so one idea might be to clip it to a lane rope as that might hold it in place whilst you swim past.
Or I'm sure someone in the pool might not mind taking a quick video of you :)

Thank you for your suggestion. I have the rest you mentioned in the video besides the camera and intelligent goggles. I searched about those goggles a few days ago, but people complain about their performance.
Have you used any, and would you suggest a brand, please?

Thanks. The only ones I've used are Form and haven't had any major problems - are these the ones you've seen with bad reviews? 😃

@@myprocoach123 I really don't remember which brand it was, seriously🙂(but try to find for you which one it was)Username_1, I'm struggling to remember which brand it was, but I'll try to find out for you. I'm even more curious now and would like to know what the minor problems are and whether they can be tolerated in the long run. :-)

I was in Hyde Park yesterday for the Swim Serpentine swimming marathon, which saw 6,000 people swim. My swimming club, Pimlico Puffin, helps primarily disabled people (deaf-blind-paralysed, autistic, asperges); some of the members swam the Swim Serpentine marathon. As you can guess, it was incredible to see our friends (as well as all those people) swim together despite all their impairments.
All the dedication, commitment, and hard work would have made your eyes water.
Long story short, Form's stand was there at the event, and I bought one. I hope God will forgive me for spending such money for a wetsuit, Form Googles, and Dry Rope at once:-)))
The atmosphere is so encouraging to do that. I hope God will take into that account:-))))
      Thank you again🙂

@@msmile9528 Sounds like an amazing day of shopping, just think how that's going to motivate you for your upcoming sessions :)
I sadly can't comment on whether God will forgive you, but I know you'll have a lot of fun with your new purchases and that will bring a lot of happiness.
Enjoy your goggles, wetsuit and dry robe! :)

And understands this fire in me after lunching 53! 🙂
Thank you so much for being so inspirational; otherwise, I wouldn't have considered buying them.
But as you very well said, Form is a game changer! I couldn't enjoy swimming better than this!
      Oh wow!
And yes, although I have to wait to return to Turkey to enjoy my dry robe and wetsuit for now, Form hugs my every need for now.
