Since Vexus introduced their model in the 198p class, I'm curious if Ranger will come up to match the Vexus. I think Vexus is better but more steeper in price. Interesting to see if Ranger prefers the price point where the 198p is already without change.

I have an ‘18 178 and wish I had spent extra money for 188 but both are great boats

doubt it is that big of an upgrade. Beam is no wider, storage is the same. Keep the money in the bank. If it is burning a hole in your pocket upgrade you electronics or fishing gear.

That's a 4-Storke on the boat, not an XS.

the boat he's testing has an optimax pro xs. The stock footage of it running has a four stroke on it.

After a fisherman adds all the options and star's he will want, your going to be looking at 35k to 36k. Less depending on your needs when you option out your rig the way you want it. Perhaps 33k for some.

It still beats 65k plus for. Glass boat.

Bought and paid for review. Check into the owners who've bought one. They are junk! From the engine to the trolling motor, from the keel to the deck, bow to stern, even the trailer...all substandard and an embarrassment to the Ranger name. Smh there are a ton of videos detailing the lack of quality and choices in rigging.
