When will companies learn we don't want no rod tubes. Leave that wall open and you can fit 30 rigs instead of 15.
They do that in their z520r/z521r series.

A good friend has one trimmed in green. I love his boat. My wife and i are gonna sell our pro craft bass boat and our aluminum boat and get a new Ranger RT188P.

Love my 2023 198p!! Just wish y’all allowed at least 175hp not 150. Also they are now built in tracker manufacture.

How did you install your hot foot in your boat. I have the same boat and was told that it can't be done.

I have a 2022 and unfortunately it looks like a wrinkled beer can. Ranger pressed the frame to far into the hull. Pretty sure the entire hull is warped. Dealer should have caught this issue. Hopefully this is an isolated issue. Little bummed out because Ranger has a great product. Not bashing, all other Rt188P look great. Marks does.

Yeap. Noticed that at bass pro. A huge turnoff for me. Love the boat and layout though.
Too bad all the compartments leak like a sieve, the only solution is silicone caulk around the black rubber seals and redo all the plastic lock collars that are installed over the carpet with no water proofing. It is the most frustrating thing about that boat. But coming in a close second is the total lack of options. You can’t get anything bigger than the 115hp 150 nope, radio nope, Bluetooth speakers nope, interior lights nope, any dry box besides one you bring on board with you, nope. In fact the one main compartment by the counsel is at even a full compartment they use the deck as the floor base so it just gets soaked. For a $40k boat it is the most overpriced boat and quickest way to ruin thousands in gear. Oh yeah no option for built in NAV lights, and I could go on.
On the plus side it is sturdy, rides well, and has lots of storage. It looks nice in the water but seriously I could list several other aluminum brands in the same price point with much much higher quality and build options.
I’m looking at this boat and thanks for your review. I would love to hear more and what other would you or anyone else recommend?

i thought your boat would run faster than that ,i have 16ft9inch tide craft with 90 evinrude 2 cycle that ran 52 when it was new .

@@danielcarroll6010 Older models did. My friend had a 2017 and it had a long storage that stretched the whole width of the boat under both seats/console. I think they may have moved the gas tank forward on the new ones which took that away.
@@Twangtown7 They moved the gas tank forward. That allows for a fourth battery and plenty of room for PP pumps.
The 188p has the gas tank in the middle to distribute the weight. The 188 has the gas tank in rear which gives you the storage
Junk Hull Design. You won't stay dry in this boat, even with a moderate chop. Buy something else.
