I discovered your music by accident. 1999. A friend in the music business who had endless numbers of cds. One day he gives me a big bag, a duffle bag of cds and says take what you want. Most of the artists were new to me, but something drew me to the cover of El Corazon. Who is this guy?, I asked. My friend, who had deep knowledge, said "Yeah, take that. You'll like him". Understatement of all time. More than 20 years I'm listening, watching, appreciating what you say and the way you say it. You, John Prine, Townes, Guy Clark - Masters of story and music to me. Thanks to you and Rolling Stone for putting this out there. Don't ever quit putting it out there. You're the other kind.

"Copperhead Road" gets a lot of airplay in Canada on a daily rotation on my local radio station. It gets played so much that it should be Canada's new national anthem. LOL!

Have loved and respected your music since the '80s. "I Ain't Ever Satisfied" and "And the Rain Came Down" are still staples in my repertoire. I'd gladly pay you royalties, but I ain't got no dough. Was kick-back thrilled to see you in The Wire. -- Rutherford, age 67, Prague CZ
