- After more than a year of watch buying, I decided to treat myself to a new watchbox for my ever increasing collection.
I opted for the Black & Purple 10 piece Wolf Windsor Watchbox which finally hit Massdrop in the spring, with a considerable saving of about 50 percent. Buyer beware though, as on this occasion my purchase was not trouble free.

Interesting, I always thought the hole was just for air to get in and not allow any moisture to build up into the box. Never thought of it for charging cables, you learn something new.
No doubt to cover you if you happen to have an apple watch in your collection

I would recommend getting some black foam. You could even use white. Anyway there is a foam that is soft yet rigid and would work perfectly for rising the watches up in the case. I ship a lot of stuff. As I have an online sales business. And always end up using foam for ton's of uses. Thanks for the info.
Nice review. I keep getting tempted by these as they’ll just fit in to my safe. With the QC issues I think I’ll stick to the padded trays I made for the job for now.

I have the exact same box, but bought from a UK retailer at a higher price. It came packed the same way and luckily free of any damage, but yours looks like a classic example of poor QC from the manufacturer. I guess you're lucky it doesn't affect the use of the item and the discount helps but its one of the reasons that purchasing from places like MD is a gamble as you are stuck with consequences and the hassle for any issues down the line. Probably worth it only when the discount is big enough to take a risk!

Just spend a couple bucks on some glass polish. Nothing is perfect, saying that a low-mid range watch box with some minor imperfections and a decent refund is a fail is a bit of an overreaction.
To much waffle ... just review the damn box!

I had a similar problem with a watch box with the pillows sliding, I bought some small hook and loop Velcro circles at Walmart and stuck the rough sided circles to the sides of the compartments and it tightened up the pillows and stopped them from moving.... just a quick tip!

excellent review! I recently just purchased a wolf Windsor 10-box as well. same colour as yours in black&purple. My question is regarding Wolf’s decision to use silk for the cushion and inner linings. most other watch boxes use plush & felt/suede for the material. do you think the silk would introduce hairline scratches on high polished surfaces easier than those other plush materials?
Its not been a noticeable issue on my watches, I think plush would be a better option than the faux silk
Last Watch interesting.. I did not realize it was faux silk. Thought it was real silk! but what I do enjoy about the cushions in the wolf Windsor is the flexibility to fit much tighter bracelets. a lot of the plush pillows are not as flexible. I have a very skinny wrist so I definitely need a cushion that can be flexible. Hope my watch does not get scratched

Is it possible the material is in fact genuine leather? The box would seem hideously overpriced if it is not.

As it is under warranty by Wolf, you should maybe contact them directly...

you'll get scratches like this after a few weeks of use, I wouldn;t have bothered with it and just kept it.

For a company that talks a lot about it's big history and heritage, their quality seem very subpar to me...
Dear Last Watch. You seem like a genuine lad & I enjoyed your thorough review of the box. However, god, that collection is GARBAGE !!!! Please get a real watch (one good one is better than 10 dogs) to put in there.
I think you're missing the point of my channel, its about growing, learning and sharing the love of watches. What people choose to wear on their wrists is a personal choice and you should respect that

I love my watches and half of the are Nixon 😱 just remember chump that supporting liverpool football club makes you no more of a 'proper supporter' than someone who supports a conference league side.
