Hi friends! In between cabin renovations, we've been getting out to explore the area. It is hard to believe this is New Mexico...the New Mexico you (and I) never knew existed. Get ready for some stunning scenery! Next week: Another episode of the Pursuit of Cabin Living coming your way.
I always knew these places exist....but I live here...lol. Great video!
Really great video! Being able to watch from 8,000 miles away is truly a blessing and it made me all the more excited to be able to get back and be able to experience my incredible home once again. It is absolutely a sight for my sore eyes haha.
Thanks for showcasing the New Mexico that I’m so very proud be from and that people don’t know exist.
Glad you enjoyed it! You must be the same Cullen Brad spoke of?
@@4XPEDITION I’m Ariana 😂
@@4XPEDITION you got it, that’s me!

Stop saying you can't believe you're in New Mexico. I live near the Gila Wilderness and I thank God everyday for putting me in New Mexico. New Mexico born and raised. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I understand why you appreciate it here.
It is an amazing place.
Excellent presentation on Williams Lake...Great place to spend the day. Peak vid is worthy to invite others for the challenge of seeing it for themselves. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful hike with awesome views and company. I like to use polls on the downhill to help take a little load off my knees. Thanks for taking us along.
You bet Richard!
What a fantastic hike and a really great accomplishment for you all. Thanks for sharing this beautiful day with us. Take care!
Thanks for watching James!
Awesome area... glad to see no fires in that area... love the big horn sheep!!!
It’s rained like crazy all spring and summer so far this year.
Hi, Scott. I love sharing this video and bragging about our natural beauty here. Thanks, D. *TYU*
My pleasure, Donald. That was a STUNNING trip. Now that we have our new camper on the truck, you will start to see more great videos of New Mexico and southern Colorado on our channel. Stay tuned.
Excellent video. Gorgeous scenery👍👏👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh wow, this area is absolutely stunning. For some reason I didn't think New Mexico had such thick pines and high alpine areas . I was thinking it'd be more along the lines of northern Arizona's forest areas. Thank you for sharing this with us, I need to add this to my list of places to go.
I would say that I thought the same thing until I came here.
Great video. That's an awesome day hike. You guys hiked good at that elevation. Beautiful scenery.
Thanks Todd! Yeah it was amazing.
Hard to believe that a pristine place like that exists. Sweet!
Agreed. I am in awe every single day.
Great Accomplishment 👍🏽👍🏽
Yes it was!
First of all, props and great respect to the Chief. He probably is surrounded by great people but it takes a great leader to make a great team. Scott, man, you are one very fortunate dude to have Heather as a partner. She is amazing in so many ways. I loved the hike and living it vicariously through you guys. I had to give up backpacking several years ago as my knees and my lungs started to give out. At 74 I'm happy doing short hikes and car camping. I haven't skied since doing the Snow Bowl while living in Litchfield Park before moving to Maui. However, I have always wanted to ski Taos and it is on my long bucket list.
Awe, thanks, Alexander. She really is a remarkable woman. I am very fortunate for sure! And... I love Maui! Especially the high country and Hana.
Being a landscape photographer from the Enchanted Circle area, I really enjoy seeing people exploring some of my favorite places.
Where can I see some of your work?
Great video guys! I have watched a few videos of this type, and yours was excellent blend of fun, adventure, getting to know the terrain, and the people on your team. I live in, and am a full time real estate professional in the Albuquerque area and love New Mexico. Thanks again for a great video. I'll be up there September 9th with my Son.
Made that same hike in August of 2016. Views from the top are awesome
So awesome.
Incredible video!!!
Thanks a lot!
Great video! I’ll be doing this hike a few months excited!
Beautiful adventure. Thanks for sharing it. How long did the roundtrip hike take?
I believe we met them at 6 AM. It took about 45 minutes to get there. Probably on the trail by seven. I think we got off the mountain at around 1pm or so.
Beautiful hike, great video. I have done this hike many times. Note that the mountain shown at 0:34 is actually Old Mike Peak, Wheeler Peak isn't in the view from where this photo is taken near Eagle Nest Lake. Old Mike Peak (13,113') is about a mile SE from Wheeler Peak (13,167'). You can get a good view of Old Mike from the north face at 15:59
Thanks for adding that insight, Hattori. Much appreciated...and noted.
@@4XPEDITION Awesome content, I have subscribed. Looking to see how your cabin turns out!
Which routes did you take I see there are a few on Altrails
We went up through Taos Ski Valley. The only other route I know of is from Red River which is an overnight trip.
