Learn how to make faux-etched wine glasses with frosted vinyl for glass!
Don't get me wrong, I love real etched glass. We all know that etching cream is magical and can give some really beautiful results. But it's a pretty messy process with a slew of safety concerns -- which is kind of a buzzkill when you're just wanting to whip up a few cute glasses. You've all loved my wine glass projects in the past (especially this glitter one!), but I think this faux etching with frosted vinyl for glass is my favorite! But why?

She is not lying! I love it....truly amazing.
Cinnamon hack is so cool. I learn so much from Jennifer Maker and can not wait to try something new each week. I made my own hack and used two empty toiletpaper cartons and pasted it on a piece of cardstock. This keeps any size glasses perfectly still while working on it. Especially when using Amour etch. Not as classy, but it works.
Good to know! 😃
You are always awsome Jennifer.. so many tutorials you are not get tired of showing to all of us crafters... Thats so gorgeous!! Thank you!

I made these and they turned out really good - one of the glasses had a couple of really small flaws, but was proud of my first attempt. The cinnamon hack was ingenious. Thanks Jennifer!

Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the cinnamon hack! I'm partially blind and sometimes have the hardest time weeding. Thank U !!!
You are so welcome!
I use cocoa powder to help see cut lines on light colored vinyl. I use corn starch on dark color vinyl.
My daughter recently suggested eye shadow, and that also works! Thank you so much for sharing your discoveries with us!😊🌻
Hello from Australia
Hello!
Oh my word JENNIFER! You must’ve heard me during the Cricut Joy Summit. I was asking if this could be done as I have bad lungs and don’t want to chance using the etching cream. If only you’d put this video out sooner, that cinnamon trick would have come in handy. But, knowing me, I’ll probably rub my itchy eyes with the cinnamon still on my hands/gloves. 😂
Oh no! 😁❤️
Thank you. I love your videos. Question: would any white glittery or pearl colored vinyl get the same look or does it have to be frosted vinyl it say "frosted" in the color?
They would have a slightly different look🥰
Okay. Thank you so much❤
Jennifer!!! YES!!! I am working on this frosted vinyl RIGHT NOW and was JUST saying how I wanted to cut it down smaller to weed but can't see the lines to cut between!! Thank you!!!!
Now - with these glasses.... do you just hand wash to keep them on the glasses as they are used?? Thanks again!
I suggest hand washing!!🥰
@@JenniferMaker thank you!
I always have a problem weeding! I was sooo excited to try this Frosted Vinyl, I even used the cinnamon (new Cricut crafter here, but I couldn't get the design off the paper! This has happened before I don't know what I am doing wrong :(

Hi, my apologies if this has been answered but will this work on the coated tumblers like RTIC, YETI, or Stanley? Thank you.
Does the love reply mean yes it will work on a coated tumbler? :) Thank you so much.
These would .ake cute shirts too
Yes!
Hello! From greenville sc
Hello!
Can I ask if you can do a video on large print shirts 2/3 xl in creative studio please. Sawgrass 500. Thanks
You can request that here. jennifermaker.com/projectrequests/
Question… can you seal it to make it dishwasher safe. Plan on gifting a set to a non crafter and they may forget not to wash.
You can but I do not recommend it.
You said to use isopropyl alcohol, but the bottle you used was ethyl alcohol. Which one would be the best?
Isopropyl is most common to use.
🦋💜
😃❤️
Does it stay permanently? If not how do I make it stick permanently
It is permanent!🥰
Can u seal the glass?
You really don't need to and just hand wash. ❤️
Great idea. But i think that i still prefer the look of real etching.
Can't beat that. ❤️
I actually think this looks really beautiful! I prefer real etching just because I can put it in the dishwasher 😂
I so wanted this to work - but I tried at least six times and I couldn't get the vinyl to adhere to the transfer tape. I will rewatch to se what I'm doing wrong.
Hmm, standard grip should work unless you are using hard to stick vinyl like glitter vinyl. That would need a strong grip transfer tape. jennifermaker.com/how-to-use-transfer-tape/

Hello!
Is it possible That you add small pictures from the projects in your library? Now you need to know what you are looking for. I just like to see what you Made!
That would cause a great deal of problems to add pictures for most people with their devices. It is best to search jennifermaker.com for a project and then click on the link to it for the library.
@@JenniferMaker thanks for your comment
