@@aegisraven1284 Not stolen, book cover art is often sold on after it's been used for it's original purpose. Les Edwards said about this in his great book Blood and Iron - the striking cover art of which was also used for Uriah Heep's Abominog album.
Why can't death metal be like this anymore?? It's raw, grim, and heavy. Truly the sound of "death".

Anvil's cover for Forged in Fire is perhaps the best moment of death metal in the first half of the 90's, so beautiful, many doom bands have tried this mix of weight with slowness to be beautiful, but Benediction got it in this wonderful song !

I haven't listened to Benediction since Dreams you dread (that album kind of put me off a little) But now I'm 40, I'm feeling retro and fuck, I now remember why I liked this band. That snare sound is immense. That snare tensioner sounds like it's been stretched and played across the entrance to a cave.

This fucking band is one of my favorite for about 3 years when i was 18 years old, that really old school death metal
The sound is nice and cavernous, and devoid of pro-tools etc.
I saw them live back in the 1990s. One of my favorite bands back then.

That's scary to think about but you're right. The bible says Luscifer was head of the praise music in heaven and that he was the light bringer..morning star. Now he brings darkness and influences Gods people with rebellious music. I love metal, and I dont like to think this way, but it's TRUE.

I bought this as a new release. I was disappointed that it wasn't all new material since I already had Subconscious Terror, and Grand Leveller . I was also a little disappointed in the cover of Anvil - Forged in Fire, which was basically the original version with Cookie Monster Vocals ( still better than a Six Feet Under cover song though ) . I am surprised how weak Dave Ingram sounded with Boltthrower when he sounded like Karl when he was in Benediction. Maybe he tried to not sound so much like Karl with Boltthrower.

a good ep. nothing comes close to crushing as hard as the first song, even tho the title is total cringe. id say this is death metal done right. even the cover is cool even tho its a jack of 'the eyes of horror'. oh, and the anvil cover was boring and soulless.
