Not sure if you have done it, but the mods "ruina" and "library of ruina" together make an insanely difficult and fun modpack, it adds a new character and hundreds of new cards for you to use as well as ultimates stuff like that, it also has new enemies and entire new acts to play instead of normal sts acts, you should try it out at some point if you havent already
So "Scraping Claw does what it wants" *seems* like a meme, but is very true, as based on when it is played and what cards and effects you have in play (such as Nunchaku and Ink Bottle procs) the card is doing different things. I need everyone to watch closely at 38:52. Frost plays FTL right after drawing with Clawpile Driver, and draws Scraping Claw, despite it already being in his hand. It moves from 3 to 7 and leaves a dead space in his hand. Watching this whole run twice, it seems to be that if draw effects happen back-to-back (or in the case of the extra Core Surge & Biased Cog, at the same time) the weirdness begins.
I think the scraping claw was only discarding cards to the right of it that didn't cost 0 which is why it seemed inconsistent. edit: I think FTL moved it because it wants to be on the right side of your hand whenever you deal damage and draw. makes sense to me because if it moves to the right side of your hand then everything to it's right will be cards that you draw and then it will discard the cards to the right that don't cost 0 which simulates the way it's supposed to work, but it was doing everything in the wrong order and discarded the cards before it moved and before it drew cards. this isn't for sure how it works but that's what it seems like to me, and there's no instance in this video that it didn't work like that.
At Last. The prophecy is coming true. Edit: 36:32 there Is a mod that goes -A20 to A25. It's called Ascension reborn. Also there is mod called challenge the spire where you can have only elites or only bosses. Very cool modes both you should check them out.

If it was card 3 and played at the beginning of the hand it would check on cards 4,5 if they were 0 cost.
What's happening with the scrape is that the card draws 2, if one of them is not a 0 cost card it discards all non 0 cost cards from your hand except the one you drawn.
I just finished my first Ascension 20 win(?), It was an awesome pandora's box silent start with an early prismatic shard. It was a poison build with huge amounts of block, I had 7 powers in the deck which were fun to set up until my 2nd act 3 boss was the awakened one. Probably the most fun run I've ever had, it was such a tense run, I don't think I've actually gotten a poison build to work since like Ascension 7. I beat the awakened one at a literal 1HP left, but I got destroyed by the spire shield and sword which is disappointing but I did finally "win" Ascension 20. Also, not sure how but on turn one of the act 4 elite fight I somehow lost 1 focus, had no cards that would affect focus in anyway so I was very confused by that
About the Spear & Shield fight, the Spire Shield can remove one of your buffs on turn one. It typically removes a Strength or a Dexterity, but if you happen to be Defect *or* have a Prismatic Shard it can remove 1 Focus instead.

I know this is 11 months too late but like... did no one notice that at 29:00 the Scrape actually discarded the Self Repair he ALREADY PLAYED?!?! It is real because at 30:50 Frost draws the Self Repair again and somehow doesn't realize he only has one in the deck
Fun fact about me:I beat the game with the defect on my 1st try and then never used it again (ascension level 0) The reson is so I can say that I have a 100% win rate on the defect.

I would really like to see you try some of the touhou characters mods (eg: marisa , reimu , sakuya , the immortal .. ect) and the gensokyo act mod . Both the characters and the act mod have intresting mechanics.(espically the mechanics of some of the bosses in gensokyo mod they are super good)
