Something else many people don't know, especially in America, is that our Earth has two hemispheres. In fact they give it no thought at all. Another entire half a planet where Mabon does not occur in September. Fancy that!
Mabon is a god. He doesn't 'occur in September' anywhere.

It may be obscure but to me it works. He's the son of the Divine Mother, also known as the Child of Light, and the fact that he's Arthur's cousin is a bonus. Now I'm wondering if there's a correlation between him and Mab, the Faerie Queen...I don't have time to research ATM but I will. This is awesome information, thank you and stay blessed! Oh and... It's Culhwch who's Arthur's cousin, not Mabon! And Mab is a much later English literary character, so there is no relation.
If you are pronouncing Mabon correctly and including Him in your Equinox celebrations (since you call it Mabon) that's a great start.
