- First time doing a video while shooting architecture on my Chamonix F1 4x5. Forgot my cable release, forgot to stop down the lens on one shot. But it's a miracle and the shot looks pretty decent.

great video, and don't worry, we all make mistakes, this format is one where the mantra is : STOP, THINK, THEN do it, as the sheets are expensive, so we are careful with what we do, also many things can go wrong, yours is one; Nick Carver exemplified another (leaving the lens open on some polaroid film); inadvertent addition of movements, eg in the back standard, due to controls being knocked, not locked down tight; not using a cable release; I did one, in MF, by using asa 400 in my hasselblad 500c\m with no lens hood, and in ev 15\17 light near a river, and reflective architecture, so got glare!, but the key is we all learned from it, so the next roll, or sheet or box is better than the last, images do appear, and are better exposed, like everything we learn all the time we do things.
Awesome smooth slow jazzy tune to go with the LF setup... such a nice relaxed mood for working!
Thanks Brian! Glad you liked it, I have another one in the making, just need to wait to scan the 8x10 shots.
Really enjoy these on the field content from you. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Steve! I enjoy making them, still need to figure out how not to mess up all the time. Second one is recorded and also missed some important part but managed to fix it in the field. Cant do filming and shooting at the same time, too much to think about. ;)
Very interesting to see how 4x5 format is done. Thanks for this!
Thanks John! Hope next will be 8x10 in similar conditions.
Looking forward Nico!
Great video! I like this style a lot.

Thanks Jake, I enjoy making them, just need more time for shooting.
Love you style, from the photographer’s point of view.
I appreciate that!
Más videos de este tipo Nico, muy interesante.
Gracias! A ver si voy sacando mas tiempo para salidas.
Great video Nico!
Thanks Joey! Glad you liked it. Hope next time we can shoot something like this in SF. Probably going to be there summer 2019.
Awesome vid
Thanks James! Next is us going out.
Great to see you out in action. Speaking of a 180mm lens, do you think that would be a good first lens for starting with on 4x5? I have an Intrepid on the way, but still haven't decided on a lens. I'm planning to start with landscapes.
It does have a lot to do what you enjoy to normally shoot, usually people prefer wide lenses for landscape so a 90mm could do the job. But it all is sensitive to the user taking the shot. I did a video on 4x5 lenses that could help a bit and if not like Rory said check the lens info on the forum. But do let me know if you need any more help.
Great forum and lots of info there! Thanks for sharing.
More videos like this one!!!!
More are coming!
Cool
thanks!
