If trump does blocks birthright citizenship the law does not affect people born in the USA already plus if one or more of your parents are citizens it will not affect you.

Birthright citizenship. The 14th amendment had to do with slaves. Slavery ended 1865 and 14th amendment was written in 1868. It did not mean if you had a child on American soil that the child was a citizen. It was for the slave's children's children and so on, could be established as citizens. The Amendment talks about emancipation as well as slave. Slaves were property until they were freed. That amendment made them a citizen.

I think it will become law because the republicans have all three branches of government so trump can push almost any laws he wants and most likely get it passed. The path to becoming a citizen will be much harder now with trump unless one of the parents is already a citizen. This is just my opinion and what I know about Trump. The lawsuits will not help in my opinion. I hope I’m wrong though because this horrible for a lot of people.

Yes, we will see how this goes. Ending birthright citizenship is really a tough one, especially for foreigners.
