I just came across your video I have a 4 " overfill pipe from and ungrounded spring that the water is coming from. 100gal cement holding tank this really caught my eye could be fastened to the end of pipe but how is it if it floods there the over flow pipe goes into the creek ? Do you have more videos on this? FOUND the ram pump definitely could use that .Thanks for all your experiments
Great! Now you have my attention again! I subscribed to your channel coz of the microhydro and am sure many of us. Wait and see your views shoot up as you start this project!!!! We are all eyes and ears! Waiting...
Yes for sure! As it turns out water projects are no fun in winter. Luckily the warm weather is upon us!
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK .I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙏///............
Thank you.
I bet thats the size I need for my small creek.
I expect this can pull up to 200gpm depending on the length of the down pipe. We shall see soon!
Omg I’ve watched your micro hydro videos like 10 times, I can’t wait for another season
That's awesome. Definitely have some fun stuff coming up. And a lot of fixing the things that didn't work on the 1st round.
Good to see you back especially back onto hydro.
I have been waiting for the weather to warm up. We had a nice cold winter.
@@LandtoHouse Our weather is just turning, we are about to enter Autumn, so I am looking forward to having an excess of water to try and find my system's new max output.
The only thing better than the Ram Pump is the MicroHydro. I am excited, this channel keeps getting better and better
Well you are in luck. I have several ram pump and micro hydro videos planned.
Best Part: "Blah Blah Blah a lot of talk, more Hydro coming up" Hahaha!! But seriously... I am VERY interested to see how this pans out! The 4" size and compact factor is very approachable for the DIY crowd! I'm curious to the GPM requirements, head pressure or "water drop" requirements, min GPM needed for power output, and of course overall setup process.
A lot of times when I'm filming that's going through my head "this is way too much talk"
Depending on the height of the downpipe this can use anywhere from 50 to 200 gallons per minute. (I'm estimating) I have a feeling my water source will be the limit of testing.
YAY! It's micro-hydro season again!
Almost haha I've been waiting for the weather to get above freezing.
ok, here's something to remember, AC handles the transmission distance better. So run 3 phase close to the end point, then convert to DC.
Its actually more efficient to transfer dc power at a given voltage.
Very good! looking forward to seeing the test
It should be fun. I hope that my water source has enough flow rate to get some good results.
The new studio space looks great. Just a little glare off the wood and very lively acoustics, but I know it is a work in progress.
Just finised installing a sheet that reduces the echo some. I need to get some sound panels next. The glare I am not sure about just yet.
Can't wait to see how it does. good luck
Thank you. I will be starting water projects very soon!
Love the videos and can't wait to see this hydro project flush out (bwahaha)
You have great neighbors, one letting you put your intake way up the hill outside your property, another letting you use the part of the ponds on their property for this. Can't wait to see more videos.
HA flush out. Yes I expect there will be a lot of flushing water down that hydro unit. All 5 of my neighbors are great! 4 of them are proper types and one stays in an rv most of the summer.
awesome and what fun!! you need to wake Elmo up and put him to work!!
Looks like it’s going to be another great project. Can hardly wait!
Yes I hope that it makes enough power to send up to my neighbor in the rv.
First to comment. Watching from Nigeria
Thank you for watching.
Like the new studio.
Small tip: lock your focus :)
Thank you. It is a work in progress.
Ah yes camera settings... perhaps after 8 years of youtube I Should learn them.
@@LandtoHouse can't wait to see the low head in action
I am waiting for more! Good job.
Should be getting to the install soon!
Woow cool😊
Good project. Congratulations brother!!! Kepp up!!
Thank you. This one should be fun. Not tons of prep work like a high head unit.
Seth, you need to look at some sound dampening in that shed of yours, the minor echo that is happening messes with sound and is a bit on the harsh side.
Yes absolutely. I am considering hanging a wrap-around sheet to begin the sound dampening process.
The studio space is in the very early stages of construction.
@@LandtoHouse it'll be awesome to see when it is complete, but you got my interest when you posted the micro hydro video
@@LandtoHouse also more light to bring up your videography skills like we know you have :D
I have 3 lights in there so far 2 of them are done and I've got to put one more on a boom arm so I can move it around for better filming.
Good morning everyone
I am very excited
Great! Me too. I have a good bit of content planned for the summer. Just need to find the time to make it happen.
Awesome, hope I can buy expensive thing like that...to live always a free electric bill life...
Seth, you should add some sound deadening to your studio. It sounds like you're in a bathroom. Maybe try a folded blanket in the overhead?
The new series looks very interesting.
Yes that seems to be the most common request for this new space. I just added one thing to sound dampen and Just ordered some sound panels. Should definitely make a difference when those come in
Looks pretty cool 👍
Wow good video
Thank you.
Would it get more power if the driveshaft is longer and you collect power from the water that traveled a longer distance down? 🤔
Great work.
Please can u help me with a journal or article that talks about this phenomenon 🙏
Nice work, glad for more hyrdro content :)
Thank you. i am actually just about to start really filming with this hydro unit.
I salute you sir...
Hi Seth, I've been binging your ram pump and micro hydro vids over the past 2-3 months as we are getting ready to buy our homestead in TN. Lots of planning and work to do over the next couple of years! One thing we want to do is put in hydro power. There is a pond that is fed by an artesian spring. The stated flow is very high at 1,000 gpm! I expect that this is the high end during the springtime, but it is quite a lot of flow from what I've seen. Here's the question: the pond empties into a stream that has very little elevation drop before merging with another creek and going off my land. So, do you have experience/knowledge of any systems that need only 1-2 feet of drop and run primarily on the flow of the water?
I have the same problem and am also in Tennessee.
try an Archimedes Screw setup
nice video
Thank you. Looking forward to testing it!
ID think a step down intake would produce more energy...
Sweet!
it's been a while you made the video. how can I buy one of these or similar. thanks
Great video, I have an iSTA-BREEZE 500 generator with a pelton turbine but the problem is with the hybrid controller due to the brake. Please send me information about the voltage regulator you use, how many amperes it is and where it can be obtained.
How did I miss this?
is there an easy way to inscrease the lenght of the impeller shaft to allow the inclusion of a stator stage before the rotor impeller ?
How to purchase that micro hydro?
I had no idea you had waterfalls! May I ask why you're only capturing the head from one and not the combined head of all of them?
Yes this creek has a lot going on. The waterfalls are a good distance from the house. The wire run would be 1200 feet. $$$
I'm excited to see this in action.
What is going on with your other hydro system?
Me too! Should be fun. The other hydro unit will have videos soon! Lots of changes to come.
Thank you for the new material Seth, just remember we sub'ed you, we enjoy watching and hearing from you. Not an advertisement for a related business, even if you are an invested partner. I have enjoyed this hobby immensely over the years and have learned a lot. I also enjoy helping others. The main thing for me and others I speak with, is the enjoyment and satisfaction gained by "doing it myself". I would be saddened if you, turn off some of your followers by becoming a propaganda channel. I look forward to this new series, thanks again.
I hope I never get into propaganda. I dont like politics at all.
Spencer has become a good friend over the past year. We must have spoken 15 hours on the phone. My videos have helped him do more of what he loves and his knowledge and gear has helped to double the LTH channel in 10 months. So giving him a plug like this helps with more hydro content.
As for Joe, he is also likeminded with hydro content.
I have started filming the first video on the high head system. Not sure when it will be posted.
@@LandtoHouse Sounds good, I was just a bit worried because 1 or 2 other channels have lost their authenticity be becoming an advertising arm of some commercial enterprise.
@@LandtoHouse As for Joe, I also follow him. I enjoy his creativity too. There seems to be a small group within the utube community that are helpful and encouraging to each other when ever it comes to self power and off grid solutions. Good work.
That is kind if why I am starting Tools Tech and Gear. I can do my reviews there and keep LTH fun stuff like ram pumps.
He is very smart. I am juat now starting to learn hydro. It is fun!
Where i can Buy this ser?? I'm from Philippines
Olá aqui no brazil one encontro este produto
Is this available in the market? Thank you
Can you use a Ram Pump ?
Hi Seth ,
I would like to discuss
Some New hydro theory's...
About your 4"
micro vortex application.
Need a point of Contact... ?
TY.

I seen a similar setup where they pull a siphon. Are you doing that or just running water through it?
I will probalby try several things. Siphon might reduce the power because the waterfall is almost 5 feet across. But I do want to try that. And I want to try with water spilling right into the top.
Following your systems for a long time. It hasn't even been a year and you have had multiple breakages? Is it poor equipment or poor planning?
Thank you for watching! Well its because of my own neglect. I had a mouse eat a wire and I left the water in the line closed off at 5 degrees f. Turns out water freezes and shatters pipes. The upgrades will need to take into account mice and cold.
Where yo buy pls
Good mrning i viewed your video on Low Head micro turbine, how can i have one, i live in Phillippines, Mindanao, Matalam North Cotabato, Lampayan.

Seth it sounds like you are in a shed !
Yes for sure. I just added one sheet to dampen the sound and I've got some sound panels on order
@@LandtoHouse yes you do....
Haha! I ordered 12.
Very curious, what kind of kwh could you get out of about 1 ton of water per hour?
I hope we can answer that question soon.
But there's 4 things on the table...
can we purchase that item my friend, here in philippines
This 4" unit is still in the early stages of testing.
Dear, how much you to paid ?
This is a test unit. Will be available for sale by Langston alternative power soon.
@@LandtoHouse is it available in India ?
not a dump load thats a motorcycle voltage/regulator 3 yellows in dc out at max 14.8 volt or there abouts stright into lead acid battery job done not most efficient way mppt is best for that
Spencer just messaged me about that haha. Yes he said that it is a simple way to charge a battery without expencive components. He wants to show that hydro can be done with simple components as well as the high dollar stuff.
How do I get 1 of these
Langston Alternative Power is just developing this 4" size. I will be making several test videos soon and then they will be for sale.
I love ur ram pump by the way. It works awesome
That's awesome feedback. Thank you. It's always nice to hear back from people who have install them.
Message me when they come up for sale cuz I really need 1 of those low head units
You may want to go ahead and send Spencer Langston an email. He may already have some units prepared. I think he was working on the stainless steel prop.
Hmmm low head is how much
In this case it will be 8 feet or less.
@@LandtoHouse definitely interested
Now that its not freezing outside I am ready to get some hydro power started!
Got my half inch ram pump going you should check out my low quality. Lmfao 😂
Eight feet is NOT low head.
